What Did They Know, And When Did They Know It?

The Internet is buzzing with stories claiming that the Obama administration had credible advance information that the attacks on our Embassy and Consulate were about to take place.  Of course they are denying it.

But I have a bigger question.  Considering that the President supported both of the new regimes, what are the chances that he had a hand in orchestrating them?  I know, you say this is a crazy conspiracy theory, but as one commenter on this blog said last night, presidents let soldiers die for political reasons all the time, what is one ambassador?

So what would be the advantage to Obama to either encourage the attacks, arrange for them or let them happen with advance notice?  He gets two things.

First, he knows from history that we as a nation are not likely to change presidents in the midst of a crisis (except 1980) or, second he could, with his “considerable influence in the middle east” work what might seem to be a miracle and orchestrate peace, thus establishing himself as a master of foreign policy.  Either way, he helps his re-election chances.

What, you don’t think these guys are capable of playing that kind of hard ball?  Then perhaps you haven’t been watching the big leagues as carefully as you should.
