I respect Governor Palin more and more because of such boldness as she displayed today. Christian values are constantly under attack in this country. Meanwhile, people bend over backwards so as not to offend radical Islam. Unreal! Scratching Scripture off of military scopes? Really?
Leave it to the Governor to cut right to the chase and not mince words about anything, including anti-Christian tactics.

The U.S. Army is directing troops to remove a Bible inscription that a vendor etched into the serial numbers of weapon scopes, Fox News has learned.Soldiers at Fort Wainwright in Alaska told Fox News they received a directive to turn in their scopes so the Bible references could be removed.
The scopes were made by Trijicon and referenced New Testament passages in John 8:12 and Second Corinthians 4:6. The verses appeared at the end of the scope serial numbers – “JN8:12” and “2COR4:6.”
“The biblical verse (JN8:12) must be removed utilizing a Dremel type tool and then painted black,” read instructions on how to remedy the matter.
After the letters and numbers were scraped off, soldiers were directed to use apply black paint to ensure the verses were totally covered.

Jesus walked on this earth as a teacher, not as a warrior, or a politician, or as a church leader. I don’t think for one minute Jesus would approve of any verse being engraved on a rifle. Remember what he said about Caesar’s coin? Why would that not be the same? Picking and choosing Bible verses, why not Jesus’ commandment, “love thy neighbor as thyself?” He gave no exceptions. A gun manufacturer was told a couple of years ago to remove a biblical inscriptions, I wonder if it is the same manufacturer. Anyway, I felt the motivation to share these things with you because you love truth as I do.
