Gay Hairdresser Refuses To Cut Republican Governor’s Hair

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez has had her hair cut several times by the same hairdresser, but now he is boasting that he refused to cut her hair again because she’s against gay marriage. Apparently Antonio Darden called a local TV station to tell his tale.

“The governor’s aides called not too long ago, wanting another appointment to come in,” he told KOB-TV. “Because of her stances and her views on this, I told her aides no. They called the next day, asking if I’d changed my mind about taking the governor in and I said no.”

Darden, a popular stylist in Santa Fe and the owner of Antonio’s Hair Studio, has been with his partner for 15 years.

“It’s just equality, dignity for everyone,” he said. “Everybody should be allowed the right to be together.”

He’s been together with someone for 15 years, so who is denying their right to be together?

If we’re to use the left’s standards, Martinez should be able to sue him for refusing service due to her beliefs. But I’m sure she won’t.

Rush Limbaugh summed the situation up pretty well yesterday.

This business with the gay hairdresser in New Mexico and the governor: Gays can refuse service and be applauded for it, by the way.  Christians cannot.  So when it comes to hypocrisy, gays take the wedding cake, whatever.

For the left Tolerance is a one-way street.

I’m sure Governor Martinez has already found a new hairdresser and has moved on.
