Cool new look for the Acer Aspire R7 Series

Acer are really pulling out all of the stops to launch the new Aspire R7 Series convertible laptop. Not only does it have a cool interesting look, Acer has collaborated with STAR TREK: The Video Game to offer a free digital download of the game when the Aspire R7 Series is pre-ordered from the Acer Website. According to Acer, the Aspire R7 Series has a unique design and to be fair it looks like they are right! There are four modes available to the user, Notebook Mode, Ezel Mode, Tablet Mode and Display Mode each offers a different aspect allowing the user to enjoy the laptop to it full in a comfortable position.

So we know that this is a cool looking laptop, but what does have to offer the buyer other looks and a free game download? Well it has the 15.6 inch multi-touch screen supporting ten finger touch with a full HD widescreen offering ComfyView LED-backlit display and a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolutions. It is going to be running on the Windows 8 operating system and powered by the 3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3337U Processor with 1.8 GHz up to 2.7 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology.

There is support from the Mobile Intel HM77 Express chipset and the video is coming from the Intel HD Graphics 4000 card. With 6 GB of DDR3 dual-channel memory, 500 GB 5400RPM SATA hard disk drive (HDD) and a 24 GB solid state drive (SSD) for storage. Communications come from the 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi CERTIFIED LAN and the handy Bluetooth 4.0 + HS connection. Other features will include the built in HD web camera, Secure Digital (SD) card reader, super fast USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port with HDCP support, Multi-gesture touchpad and a 4-cell Li-polymer battery (3560 mAh) with up to a four hour battery life.

Acer have priced the Aspire R7 series notebook to start from just under a $1,000!
