MSI launches a new gaming laptop

When it comes to a gaming laptop, it normally stands to reason that it will be fully loaded with the latest features and powered by Intel, well MSI have not taken this route with the new GX60 laptop. This is a gaming laptop that is powered by the AMD range of processors, but that is not to say that its sub standard far from it in fact! The AMD A10 processor is well capable of providing the gamer with speed and performance, especially when coupled with the AMD Radeon graphics card and AMD Eyefinity technology.

Therefore, we now know that this is a gaming laptop with difference, what else does this version have to offer? It comes with the 15.6 inch screen with a full HD Anti-Reflective Display at 16:9 with a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolutions. It is going to be running on the latest Windows 8 operating system and powered by the AMD A10-5750 processor, with support from the AMD Radeon HD 7970M 2GB GDDR5 graphics card and the AMD Eyefinity feature. There is a reasonable 8 GB of DDR3 1600MHz System Memory and a 750 GB (7200 RPM) hard disk drive (HDD) for storage purposes.

Other features of this laptop are the Gaming Keyboard by SteelSeries, Killer E2200 Game Networking, three super fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, single standard style USB 2.0 port, VGA & HDMI display ports, mDP, Blu-ray disc reader, built in 720p HD web camera, THX Speakers and Audio Boost Technology. MSI have priced the GX60 3AE-216US gaming laptop to start from around $1,300, which is a great price when you consider the specs and features that are available in the base unit. But even then the gamer may wish to take advantage of some of the options and upgrades that MSI offer. This means that the $1,300 can soon head upwards by two or three hundred dollars, yet even so it would still offer good value for money.
