Can we know when Jesus will return? No. When it comes to the exact timing of His return, we can’t know. Jesus Himself said “no man knows the day or the hour of my return, not even myself. Only my Father in heaven knows” (Mark 13:32). Jesus reiterated this concept when He said He would come like a thief in the night “when least expected” (Matthew 24:43-44).

This idea, coupled with the statement “no one can know the day or the hour” of His return, has led many Christians to believe they can’t know anything about the timing of His return. After all, if Jesus comes like a thief in the night when least expected, how could you know when He’s coming?

That’s a good question. And while it’s true we can’t know the day or the hour, the idea no one has a clue as to whether it’s tomorrow or a 1,000 years from now is just plain wrong. The Bible is clear we can know the general “season” of His return.

Like a Thief in the Night

Many people who believe we can’t know anything about the timing of Christ’s return base their belief on the idea Jesus “will come like a thief in the night.” Jesus did say He would come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night (Matthew 24:43-44). And Paul said the same thing (1 Thessalonians 5:2).

But if you read the rest of Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, you’ll see he said something else as well. Paul said those of us who live in the light will not be surprised. While Jesus will come like a thief in the night when least expected, those who know God’s Word will not be surprised.

Here’s the full context of that passage (emphasis mine):

“But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.” (1 Thessalonians 5:4-8 NLT)

How can this be? If Jesus comes unexpectedly like a thief in the night, how is it Christians are not surprised? It’s because we know to expect Jesus at any moment, and we obey His command to be alert and ready at all times. We also know the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to establish His Millennial Kingdom comes with many signs.

Why Would God Mention Signs?

If we can’t know anything about the timing of the Second Coming, then why did Jesus tell us to look for signs? When His disciples asked Him to describe the signs of His return, He told them. He didn’t rebuke them. He didn’t tell them to forget about such things. Instead, He described the signs. Why would Jesus say to look for signs if they don’t exist? Why would He mention them if we can’t know when He’s coming?

The answer is clear. We can know the general time frame of His return. We can’t know the day or the hour, but we can know the season. Numerous signs precede the Second Coming. Jesus and the prophets told us what those signs are. And Jesus said when you see them, you’ll know He’s near – right at the door (Matthew 24:33). We see those signs today. So we can know with certainty Jesus is coming soon.

A Command to Watch

Jesus also commanded us to “Watch!” (Matthew 25:13) This begs the question. Watch for what? Over and over again, Jesus says, “Watch! Don’t let me find you asleep when I come back without warning” (Mark 13:35-37). This is a clear command. But what does it mean? Jesus is telling us to be spiritually alert. If we live a life of faithful service to Him, the day of His return won’t catch us like a trap. Jesus says a faithful servant lives life expecting His return at any moment (Luke 12:35-38).

But Jesus is also telling us to watch for signs of the Second Coming. After all, if there are no signs, what are we supposed to “watching” for? Again, it’s clear. Signs will precede the Second Coming. And Jesus expects us to recognize those signs. If He didn’t, why would He command us to watch? He wouldn’t, because we would have nothing to look for.

We’re supposed to be watching for the signs. And Jesus says those who are ready and waiting when He returns will be rewarded (Luke 12:37).

Recognizing the Signs

In reference to His first coming, Jesus told the Pharisees, “You can recognize the signs in the sky and know what type of weather is coming, yet you don’t know how to recognize the signs of the times” (Matthew 16:3). The prophets had written extensively about the coming of the Messiah. The Pharisees knew when the Messiah was supposed to come. They knew the Messiah would perform many miracles.

Jesus fulfilled these prophecies right before their eyes. Yet the Pharisees still didn’t recognize who He was. Just as He did with the Pharisees, Jesus expects us to recognize the signs of His Second Coming. He told us what signs to look for. And the same prophets who wrote about His First Coming also wrote about His Second Coming. Like the Pharisees, we’re expected to recognize “the signs of the times.” Those signs tell us the Second Coming is drawing near.

While we can’t know the day or the hour of His return, we can know the general season. The Bible tells us what signs to look for. And Jesus Himself said when you see all these signs come together, you know His return is near (Luke 21:28). Today, we see those signs. Israel is once again a nation (Isaiah 11:11-12). The Jewish people are back in Jerusalem (Luke 21:24). And the gospel is being spread to the ends of the earth (Matthew 24:14). These and other signs are out in the open for everyone to see. You can’t miss them. For 1,800+ years of Christianity, these signs didn’t exist. Today, they do.

God said He will hold us accountable for letting others know about the signs (Ezekiel 33:1-6). We’re expected to point out these signs to others. We’re expected to tell others Jesus is returning soon. If the world ignores us, so be it. But if anyone tells you we can’t know the timing of His return, tell them what the Bible says. The truth is we can know the general season of His return. And given all the signs we see today, we can be certain we’re living in it. The time is near. Jesus is coming soon!

“After all, if Jesus comes like a thief in the night when least expected, how could you know when He’s coming?’

Britt it is “The Day of the LORD” that comes as thief in the night, the return of Christ is later at its end.

When the day of the LORD begins it will come as an unexpected thief to the gentile nations and that “DAY” will last one year and at the end of the Day of the LORD at the Last Trump Christ returns and the first Resurrection takes place.

In prophecy many times a year is as a day.

The Day of the LORD is the 7th Seal and this last Seal releases 7 trumpets plagues which is the WRATH of GOD upon the gentile nations.

Maybe Jesus is already walking amongst us in the shadows or maybe the return of Christ will not be in person but by his name.

you do not have to speculate the answers are in the WORD.

      Revelation 1

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and — they also which pierced him:— and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

By the way do you know who pierced HIM?? ROME

jebus has as much historical evidence going for him as does gandalf the grey or mohamed the paedophile prophet.

Try watching the movie ‘the life of brian’ to see how ordinary people can get caught up in the hysteria that religion of all types seems to provoke..

There have been at least 3,000 deities that mankind has sung and talked to and give offerings to over the millenia. For monotheists, this means you are a commited atheist 2,999 times.

Every one of these deluded individuals all believe theirs is the ‘right’ god, and everyone else is wrong, that the rest they have the ‘wrong’ god. I just wish the religious would side-step their body for a few minutes and watch their alta-ego in the process of worshipping. It is a sad and pathetic sight, all looking skywards and singing to an invisible man, or kneeling and prostrating and chanting to said invisible man.

This is something that, at least here in the west, we should have grown out of a long time ago. How can we in the civilised world persuade the mad muslims to forget allah (the ‘only’ god to them naturally), if we the educated, sing to another, competing, invisible deity. It is time to grow up and throw off these fairy stories.

more historical evidence for the man Jesus than total evidence out there that proves the existence of Julius Caesar….

you are being intellectually dishonest. Back 100 years ago, this may have been an interesting argument and objection you are making…there has been too much evidence uncovered since then for your argument to be valid…

      • plsnogod

Ah you misunderstand. Whilst there almost certainly was a historical figure called jesus (though he would look very different from the images we see in places of worship),and that he presumably was charismatic and ‘followable’ like other cult leaders such as david koresh in modern times, i am simply saying that the tales of a virgin birth, turning water into wine and resurrection are no more than bigged-up folk tales.
Yet it has evolved into this multi-billion dollar circus we call christianity.
There is no difference between you and a muslim. In fact, you both believe you are correct in the supernatural abilities of your prophet/god, and moreover believe that each other is wrong.
See the irony and nonsense of it all?

        Presumably not.
However if i can persuade just one person to choose the path of reason over faith, then all this typing will have been worthwhile. It is happening, quickly in modern western countries, though slower in america.

Just take a look at the percentages of modern educated people who believe in ‘god’. They are going down day by day. In the uneducated muslim world, where indoctrination is even stronger,it lies at a very sad 99.99percent.

I will do all i can in my own very limited way to try and help people resist this ridiculous medieval habit that has caused, and is still causing, death, war, torture and deprevation on a daily basis, as it has for thousands of years.

Jknbt, I fear you’re charging a windmill. Though you’re quite right, this person is on flame against God, clearly spiting nails to the point of being imbalanced in his hatred of the faith. Truth or reason are not in his vocabulary. These types use any device, even when they know it’s a fabrication. You can be assured they use the same bogus arguments, over and over, ones they’ve already seen, thoroughly debunked. This says something about what you’re dealing with, which is deception.

The fake Christians, tares, do the same thing, used unscriptural arguments over and over they’ve been busted using, before, wait a little time, then trot the same old lies out, again. The name of the game is trying to spread doubt by deception.

Sometimes it’s better to just acknowledge there are patches of slime in the pond, don’t even indulge them, which is like asking for more of the same drivel back at you. Dragging Christ around in the mud of endless disputes, to entertain sick trolls, spoiling for disputes? Perhaps not a good idea. See the additional drivel you unleashed?

        1 Timothy 6

        3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

        • plsnogod

          Hilarious paralambano.

Though i suppose i am a little angry. All those wasted childhood years of hard pew sitting, the lies, the untruths. Also all the killing that your and other cults are responsible for.

It’s pretty clear you either did not read my post, or you have no answers to it. You can sling insults at me if you like. Religion does that so well does it not(though better that than bullets or bombs i guess).

Maybe you are just angry that more and more people are waking up to the nonsense of deity worship. Perhaps you feel your church is slowly draining away. Maybe thats the bitterness for you.

Deception huh? No-one does it better than the church buddy. It wasn’t long ago that american christians were sending bombs and bullets to terrorists in northern ireland,to blow up innocent people on uk streets. All in the name of ”christ”.

i hope for your sake you grow out of this, or at the very least, should you have children , do not fill their heads with superstitious medieval invented garbage.
Keep it to yourself. Play with your toys in the comfort of your bedroom, and enjoy them. Just don’t inflict them on others, people who are trying to make a better world, where human beings advance spiritually, and are not seduced and held back by ‘gods’ of any flavour.

Now go away and pray,or sing,or whatever it is you ridiculous child-like people do. Waiting for the ”messiah” LOL, like some puppy dog waiting for it’s master to come home…might be a pretty long wait..

plsnogod … it’s all about the love. Fill your heart with it at every opportunity and shy away from judgement’s that tell one more about yourself then those you judge.
Only you can allow another to push your buttons. You select those things that matter to you. So choose and operate on the ones that really make a heart felt difference for the best in your life and those you love.

          • Anonymous

Alright then, since that was mildly amusing, I will tell you this. Angry? Not in the least. You’re circling around the drain of a good advocate for the atheist cause for your very venom, which exhibits emotional immaturity, hence your credibility zero, just as a mature adult, much less a highly reasoned being, of any depth of intellect whatsoever. Nothing ridiculous you say can stand. The way you say it makes you a joke. I’ve gained an encyclopedia of truth in my mind that could shut you down, coming from all angles. I can prove there’s a God: it’s right there in scripture, supernatural foreknowledge of God, about 500 fulfilled prophecies in the smallest details, but this really isn’t the issue. It’s hatred of God your problem.

I’m not saying this to demean you, merely being honest: you’re nobody but a confused, pitiful, lost soul, a blind slave of demonic influences, a pitiful wretch, stumbling around in your blind, spiritual darkness, angrily exclaiming, “There’s no such thing as light! There’s no such thing as color!” Telling people who can see they’re stupid to claim such things as light and color. Scripture states you’re a dead man, do you know that? A spiritual corpse, and carrying a rotting, demonic corpse on your back, just a pitiful slave of sin and evil that won’t let your angry conscience rest. The devil has you wrapped around his little finger, conned to the max, his bitch, his slave. I know even where your anger comes from.

I don’t expect anything better from you. You say nothing that surprises me. Rejecting Jesus Christ, you’re nobody but another poor, damned soul, who’s on his way to eternal hell, one of many. This is sad to me, but I’ve seen too many of you to be the least surprised by anything you ever say, seen even the pitiful death of a proud, strutting atheist who confessed he was lost, wasn’t such a big, confident scoffer, when about to meet God, but I find Christian frauds more disgusting, still nothing new under the sun there, either. I’ve also had discussions with some atheistic people of some intellect I’ve enjoyed, really liked some of them, as people. At least some were honest, unlike fraudulent Christians. I never get angry over a person who can honestly explain their thinking with something resembling evidentiary value and adult reasoning, whatever that thinking is, and idiots, who rant, you can’t take seriously. You are very sorely mistaken any trollish person is anything more than a joke to me. You’d have to be an idiot to let an idiot get under your skin. You consider the source.

The more ridiculous your claims, actually, the more amusing you are, in your case so predictable: I am not impacted by anybody who I cannot respect, not made angry, not hurt, none of that. You say stupid, ridiculous things. Why on earth should that make me angry? You’re like a court jester, a mentally imbalanced person you just would rather avoid. Sorry, and I’m only being honest, it’s like dogs: they bark, you expect that. Nothing worth getting angry over. You have to consider the source: it’s a dog! That’s what dogs do. Well, you’re what blind unregenerates do, in a world full of angry, restless consciences, writhing, like you. So what? I’m happy as a lark. The authentic Christian is well versed in being a minority, in a hostile world, find joy in rattling the devil’s cage. I would be concerned, if I weren’t persecuted by evil men, slandered, whatever. You hold no surprises.

Angry? No, I’d say bored by your ilk. People like you make me sleepy. That’s all. You have to be somebody, first, to be taken seriously, somebody other than a blind, dead man walking. You’re the one with the problem of being one heartbeat away from hellfire. At that point, you’ll find nothing hilarious, at all. Of course, you’re angry at me for trying to warn you of such an avoidable, absolute personal catastrophe you have an appointment with. Let’s put it this way: one must have a reason for being angry, something that makes sense to be angry over. You don’t make sense. You, well, bark. It’s what you do.

          • plsnogod

Try not to worry so paralambo. There is no more evidence of the devil, than there is of god.
There there are no nasty demons coming to getcha!

Try to find the joy of humanism, the beauty of our gorgeous world, without attributing everything to a man-invented deity.

As for spirituality. Monotheistic religious folk are some of the least spiritual people on the planet, so wrapped up in dogma and rote, scriptures and quotes.
You call the atheist someone who hates ‘god’. This is quite wrong. How can one hate something which does not exist?

The bullies of this world are almost entirely religious, and you immaculately prove the point at the end of your rant, where you as usual threaten an eternity of hell fire and damnation if we don’t support your particular god.
People of your ilk have been threatening the weak, the meek and the easily misled for millenia, and you seem to wear the badge with pride.

As,presumably,a walking talking adult human, you should be utterly ashamed of yourself.

The problem you are encountering is caused by the fact what is called Christianity is NOT Christianity, It is a counterfeit.

So called Christianity does not follow Jesus Christ, they have rejected His Law and the majority of what is written in what is called The Old Testament. They even twist the New in to a huge knot.

Plsnogod if you were to study the life of Christ, how He lived and what He taught it would become evident there are two diverse ways; God’s very narrow ONE WAY and the broad wide way of man.

Are there not 40,000 varieties of so called Christian churches, that’s kind of broad and wide wouldn’t you say? This many varieties allows every “kind’ of person to “FIT” in some where.

So called christians will not allow Jesus Christ to RULE over them, instead they claim Christ came and give them a “get out of jail” pass and now they have been cut loose from the Authority of Almighty GOD. They are FREE at last.

Of course if you ask them why then is God and Jesus Christ bring their Wrath upon the whole world they will answer; it upon “them” not me.

Some even ‘hope’ God will snatch them to the 3rd heaven so they can do what they have done to His earth to God’s heaven.

Your problem is not with God it is with men. I have the same problem.

I express it this way: I love people, I just hate what they do and what they say.

“You call the atheist someone who hates ‘god’. This is quite wrong. How can one hate something which does not exist?”

The problem with this claim, if it’s true, which it is not, with your intelligent, God-hating “atheist” who’s merely spiteful, deceptive, crafty this way, you just dug yourself deeper in that ditch, according to very God, fool. Again, not being mean, as:

Psalms 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.

If you’re really so oblivious to the basic nature of the universe and life, you really are circling the drain, both spiritually and intellectually. What can anybody say to a fool? Please don’t mistake this for any desire to actually discuss the issues with you that make a fool of any claim you could come up with: we know that would be a waste, Luke 16:19-31, special attention v31. And even fools could Google and find the truth these days, if they were interested.

I’ll leave you to your trolling, your primate ancestors, Big Bang, where nothing became something, exploded and created order. Have a nice day. Really. Make a point of it. It’s so downhill from here, for you. With metaphysical certitude, on your course, you’re just going to have to meet the Lord Jesus and it be an “Oh no!” situation, for a mighty long time.

You come across as a learned man with a mastery of communication whereas I am basically self taught.

You present your self as some what of a biblical scholar, I am no scholar but I have been blessed with an understanding of the WORD of GOD.

I observe the spiritual Passover on the night of the 14th of Nisan and never “Easter” on a Sunday. Most call it “the Lord’s Supper”.

May I ask a question regarding this event as there are few on Bin with your ability.

The question is not a trap nor a trick question, I like to understand why people observe the different days and doctrines as the do?

Do they observe because — it’s what everyone does? Convention? Or have they researched and proven it is the correct doctrine and or day?

I am sure you are aware Rome changed the date of Passover to Sunday in the 3rd or 4th century and change the name to easter.

My question, if you observe Easter on a Sunday, why would you follow Catholic doctrine?

The Apostle Paul states Jesus Christ is our Passover not our easter.

6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. —- For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

And I will add, as Paul exhorts the Corinthians,” therefore – ‘let us’– keep the Feast” I also have been keeping the Feast of Unleavened Bread for many decades.

Follow up question; Have you done your due diligence or are you doing what everyone else is doing going to easter services on Sunday?

I will not respond unless you request it.

I’m not the right person to deal with your question, am not really part of that fray. There is much error, when all scripture has an entire Bible context, so I don’t do Johhny-one-verse and wrong conclusions religion: contradictions are contradictions, which the Bible does not contain. The early Christians met on the first day of the week, but that day of no significance to me, have no personal ritualistic days, rather:

Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Romans 14:5-10 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

I even have some contempt for anybody declaring holy days, as if only Saturday or Sunday, or Easter, whatever, is designated as a day for God, that is, one lousy hour or less, in truth. All days are to be lived as to God, you could say everyday my Sunday, low or high sabbath, and I’ve mainly met on Sunday in my life, as this is simply what other mainstream, non-Catholic Christians also do, of which I am one. It’s not a matter of Sunday, voodoo mojo to me, or Catholics. Though Catholics got some things right, to say something is Catholic not precluding truth, this argument lame, the measure where anything stands with God’s word of scripture. Neither am I a Jew or Adventist, interested in the beggarly elements or trying to impress God with my checklist that makes me special, when God has said some of us esteem everybody alike: this is me. Whatever you guys want to do, have at it, just don’t try to sign me up to any ceremonial legalism of that old bondage or put others under that bondage of a law you fail one jot or tittle of, and you’ve failed at the whole law, which is also purveying doctrines of devils, if you look in scripture, the doctrines of devils involve legalism, 1 Timothy 4:1-3. I find Hebrew roots types and Adventists, Armstrongites, whomever, theological cavemen of the weak and beggarly elements Paul warned against. That’s all there is to it. I gave you some verses above. There are even many more verses just the like that you believe, or you don’t, if you don’t lots of luck slaving over making your own righteousness and misleading others they also need a treadmill. Scripture is clear not even anybody of the Old Testament was saved by the law, rather faith, trust in God. Hebrews 11 pounds that point home to almost excess.

So, I don’t have a horse in your race there, whatever your religion is not what I see in scripture. Again, your feasts stuff and the like is your business, who cares? Not for me to say. It is for me to say I don’t want your religion pushed on me that contradicts clear New Testament doctrines, as one free in Christ. I do believe in moral law, but you don’t break moral laws, if you’re loving God first and your neighbor. This is a matter of what is in your heart, in your repentant soul, the Spirit guiding you, the Law of Love, not keeping a checklist. You’re not saved, if you need a checklist to be moral. The Scribes and Pharisees famously kept their checklists, and the Lord Jesus, in essence, called them the worst, self righteous scum of the earth.

The issue is solely the Holy Spirit, the new birth, like that, “Got milk?” commercial. “Got the Spirit?” Without the Spirit of Christ, you can mark every Jewish feast on your calendar, sit absolutely still every Saturday, and your righteousness is just filthy rags, Isaiah 64:6. I don’t do religion: my religion is repentance, and a Person, involved in the mercy, the grace of and work of God, the Lord Jesus. Scripture thoroughly addresses legalism. It’s not my problem or discussion, hence why you should get in your great debate with somebody else about who is most holy, and on what days. Jesus Christ IS my holiness, all days, nothing whatsoever can I add to that. Jesus Christ IS my religion, the Spirit my righteousness.Today, like yesterday, is my sabbath, and Christ my sabbath rest. Simple as that. All this other disputing over law, Catholics, Jehovah’s Witnesses, snake handlers or pretend Jews? I don’t really even relate to any of it, hence really not a question for me. I do keep feasts here and there, have that rare pizza, but I wouldn’t say you’re going to hell or a so-called Christian, if you don’t like pizza. That would make me a real horse’s rear, wouldn’t it?

Good words, Paraplumbumbo. Thank you. My friend Maxwell once said something along a similar vein. I haven’t seen him around here lately though.

It’s difficult if not impossible to say when the exact date of all of these feasts and whatnot were at this point. I think some people get too caught up in the subject at the expense of missing the bigger picture.

Glad to see you’re still around.

Is the problem around here really that you’ve been doing catch and release?

if what Hagee & others are saying is correct, we are in the 40th jubilee right now. It will end 29 Sept 2017….keep your eyes on the eastern sky….The next day is jewish new year’s.

the timing of so many end times things turns on the invasion by Babylon when Jerusalem was sacked. The Assyrians were about to destroy Jerusalem, but King Hezekiah humbled himself before God asking for his help (2 Kings 19:20).. The Lord honored the faith and humility of his servant by postponing the judgment 15 years. Hezekiah’s sons had to deal with the burden of having bad babylonians in the house.

Jesus was crucified on 14 nissan 32 AD. If the judgement of the rapture and second coming is postponed 15 years, this means that the atonement/second coming will be in the 2032, which will be 40 jubilees since Christ went to the cross. The next event on the feast day calendar after pentecost is the yom teruah new years festival, which will start on 5-6 Sept in 2032. The feast day after that is yom kippur, 14-15 sept.

Whenever I get profound like this, I turn to the Mark 13:32 scriptures about the second coming. Someone wrote a footnote there that says, “this means you too, Jay”….so pls consider this speculation as ONLY speculation….but….what if I am right?

What would you do differently if you knew the rapture was 7 years from now and the atonement second coming only 15 years from now? YIKES! and HOORAY! and “GET BUSY, GET READY!!!”

Usually not one to pay any attention to any modern prognosticator or all the wild imaginings that, what a coincidence, come and go: 50 years from the Balfour Declaration to 1967 is something to raise the eyebrows as to 2017. Also, it’s my opinion the 70 or 80 year, max, concept of a generation isn’t really a generation, rather extremes, that a generation would be more on the order of 50 years, multiple generations living simultaneously. I don’t believe the intent of scripture is to say the generation of His coming extends to right before the last few people drop dead, rather enough people comfortably alive to see this, just what makes sense to me, God a God of reason. The Bible speaks of 28 generations from David to Christ, let’s call it an even 1,000 years, close enough for the sake of this discussion: that makes for a generation as low as around 35 years. From Babylon to Christ would be 14 generations, coming in around 42 or 43 years per generation, depending on which phase of the Babylonian captivity you compute from. There were 42 generations from the birth of Abraham to the birth of Christ, so, dating Abraham’s birth 2161 B.C., and placing Christ’s birth in 5 B.C., a generation would be 51 years. There are 77 generations in Luke 3 from Adam to Christ, and 77 generations over 4000 years would equal a generation of 52 years. Of course, Israel in the wilderness was a generation of 40 years. Yes, 2017 even gives me pause, who would normally get a knee-jerk reaction to any and all things extra-Biblical, Revelation 22:18-19.

Wisdom? Thank you, that’s very kind of you (on BIN, are you running a fever?), but I’m not so sure about the wisdom part! You can’t but look at your mistakes in life, perceive the holiness of God, and come to very many good conclusions. It seems the more you learn, the less you know, in the scheme of things, questions get bigger and more perplexing. If there is wisdom, it seems, and it’s so ironic, that peace and contentment, that joy of the Lord, and to cease from the turmoil of the world, even ceasing to ask the hardest questions, is wisdom, in a sense stepping outside the complex and intellectually challenging, reverting to a simpler person, who doesn’t need to understand everything: this is the portal to happiness.

Ironic in that, in this world, we chase this, we chase that, struggle with this, struggle with that, think we always must be climbing some mountain, be in the action, bouncing around on the roiling sea, and, what, come to the place where it all goes up in smoke? Can’t take any of that world with you, you know. In the meantime, what have most of us accomplished? Aggravating ourselves? Surely, even most of our accomplishments are vanity, very few having cured some disease or whatever. Wisdom seems to distill down to being a simpler person, outside that fray of the world, which makes one a fool, to the world. It’s sort of like, “I got smarter all this time, so I could learn to be dumber and just trust God.” If I had any real wisdom, it took a long time to appear! This is an amazing verse, 1 Timothy 6:6 “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” That’s what’s so ironic. The world says great gain is that Bentley, wisdom, “Who cares about that Bentley?” Who cares about struggling with all that fray of the world, on all such temporal levels, beyond what we need?

Here’s a good example, to my mind, experience. Peace and quiet is nice. One quietly studies the word of God, so as to be able to concentrate, and this is true of many complex pursuits, why you’re supposed to be quiet in libraries. You get to a place where, in your life, you begin to appreciate quiet times, just the quiet, the calm. You turn on the TV, and that’s where it ends! Have you noticed it’s a constant bombardment of dissonant racket coming out of the TV? You have this program you’d like to watch, and, on the commercial networks, they try to subject you to commercials, like two seconds after a fade to break some loud, obnoxious clown(s), often vulgar, frat boy, stupid antics, confused with humor, and often ten decibels louder that the program soundtrack, is stomping on your ears and trying to assault your brain with evil content: even the commercials very often present a twisted, Satanic value system of the world, as if, like a vulgar sitcom that makes light of things sinful, they’re trying to sell you a product and damn your soul, at the same time. It’s a frenzied bombardment from hell on TV, that never lets up! I am convinced the aim is that we don’t have time to think about anything else, other than life as the world defines it, in your face, in your ears, constantly pounding away at distracting you from God, presenting that twisted, creature-centric, Godless value system, Romans 1:25, the very lie of Satan. It’s being trolled by Satan. It’s like the whole culture is saying, “Chase it! Chase it! Chase it! Don’t stop to think!” You hit the mute button, and it’s, as if, suddenly God has entered the room, undistracted peace and joy, as if so glad somebody shutup those silly people having a perpetual nervous breakdown, blessed relief. Mute buttons, therefore, make me happy: less is more. See what I mean? When you finally get some wisdom, you realize happiness was all about ceasing to struggle with climbing some mountain that leads to a steep dropoff, anyway, and just gets on your nerves to climb. I no longer have a bucket list: there will be things truly worthwhile in the kingdom of heaven, and forever to pursue them. There’s even a sense of eternity when you shutoff the noise, in that peace and quiet, when you consider things eternal, step outside that box. In this sense, you spiritually grow up and become an adult, only to realize that, in some positive ways, it was better to be a child, before the world tried to pervert you, spend so much of your life listening to all the noise, thinking there’s something to be had in all that cacophony of the world, if you just assemble that noise a certain way, and come to find the goal should have been the mute button, all along. See the irony of that? It’s like the encyclopedia of complex philosophy of man, that, actually, contains all sorts of knowledge, and so little wisdom: just a lot of confusion, 2 Timothy 3:7. Turns out, this is wisdom: Psalms 46:10.

So, I became smart, when I learned to be an idiot, of God’s. He is wisdom, His Spirit, not me. Bless you.

          Proverbs 3

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

“where can we meet for that cup of coffee?”

How about Lagos, Nigeria, at Murtala Muhammed International Airport? I got an email where there’s this Nigerian astronaut stranded in space, since 2003. (You would think this would be common knowledge on BIN, but, obviously, if somebody isn’t Illuminati, nobody cares about them around here!) He has $15,000,000 in back pay that needs to get released from his bank, so that $3,000,000 can be paid to the Russians to bring him home on a Soyuz T-16Z flight. I also get a 20% administrative fee, 10% for any incidental expenses, and they are all set to release the funds to me, since I’m so trustworthy to remit them the remaining 70% back to them. I don’t recollect where I know them from, or anybody from Nigeria, but it is a small world. They want me to send them $3,000 required to release the funds, which is reimbursable. But I thought I would just go there, personally, to pickup the check since, after all, there is a man stranded in space. By the way, do you know anywhere in Lagos you can get a good fish sandwich?

          • Anonymous

“I think the best meaning in your use is “Associate” do you agree?”

Yes, definitely associate is in the core sense of the word. It derives from two words, para, which means “along side”, and lambano, which means “to take”, so you have the sense of to take into close association, take along with you, that sort of thing. I’m still waiting for anybody to explain how this word shakes the trees of Lord knows how many commentaries and theologians who take their dispensationalism way too far? Naturally, and despite all the august theologians around here, I have not been holding my breath to see an answer to this: after all, I do have a stranded astronaut to consider.

You’re taking far too narrow a view of this word.

Para (παρά) is a preposition, the meaning of which changes depending upon whether it is utilized in conjunction with the genitive case (in which case the meaning is from), or the dative case (in which case the meaning is beside or in the presence of), or the accusative case (in which case the meaning is alongside of). But lambano (λαμβάνω) is a verb (present active indicative, first person masculine) which conveys a meaning of ‘I take’ but just as easily conveys the meaning of ‘I receive’ – and the Greek verb is not expressed with case but rather in tense, voice and mood. So considering the theological differences in Scripture between taking and receiving, you might want to reconsider this:

“I’m still waiting for anybody to explain how this word shakes the trees of Lord knows how many commentaries…”

Or, at the very least, you might want to stop waiting for anyone to explain anything to you and just go off in search of the answers yourself.

Well, well… look at ‘I Take’ when he gets a bit flustered. All pretenses to Christian behavior go right out the window – for all they were ever worth.

            “I have the answer…”

Do you now? And do you think you can share it in under 50,000 words? Try preferring the pithy to the prolix, Taker. Maybe just once in your life. Who knows… it might even fit.

“…am looking for the answer from you…”

You’re not looking for anything but to talk. Aimlessly. Profusely. If you had any fortitude whatsoever, you would observe the commandment to render your ἀπολογία to everyone who asks you to defend your beliefs. But all you ever do is render cop-outs, level insults and make excuses. And then you have the audacity to judge. So? Take your place among the hypocrites and cowards.

“I don’t know what more you want from me…”

I want you to observe Peter’s commandment to you.

“…try and promulgate your intellect reaches further than this, will just not let it rest.”

And you only? Are you then the only one who is permitted to contribute to these boards and I am not?

            “Hey! I’ve got an idea.”

So do I. Why not try defending your beliefs, rather than belittling seekers after the Way while pretending to be one.

Proverbs 16:22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

          • BEEF SUPREME

Yes, Taker. I believe you’ve made it abundantly apparent you think little of me. You don’t like what I believe and you are hostile to what I say. So point me to a verse where, because of this, you are absolved of Peter’s commandment to all who are in Christ.

Try actually submitting to the commandments before judging those around you according to your understanding of certain verses of Scripture. Seems to me that very sentiment is offered to us numerous times throughout the Word. Do you need me to quote the verses? So if your plan is to continue bludgeoning those around you with Scripture, then it might behoove you to know ALL of Scripture (not just the verses which seem convenient to your violating the Gospel), lest you walk yourself right into a snare you lay for yourself. And who will you blame then?

“Well, look what the cat dragged in!” OK, so there’s a “phor” My cat doesn’t like.. and as for what followed, actually loathes.

I had told a brother not long ago here in the BIN that I’m back for “blood”.. a defining statement.

So, along with that, note this: you’ve been given a “String of Pearls”. Look in the past. Look at the “present”, and Look back to the future.

War Game is about to come full circle.. and my cat carries one big magazine.

          • Anonymous

Rain, look, I’ve been generous, at least have refrained from calling for your cat to be drowned, though do suspect the Lord created mosquitoes and cats in the same time frame. Just don’t launch into a diatribe how his or her mouth is twenty times cleaner than a baby’s, hence should be allowed to prance around on kitchen counters and dinner tables, and the reason cats are so meager in the personality department is their constant preoccupation with unresolved differential equations, and I, as well as my dog, will chill on the matter. I’ll even look to the past, present and future, just not the litter box.

Considering the magazine rhetoric, is your cat’s named Begemot, like one could swear your avatar is? I know he swings from chandeliers and sprays rooms with a machine gun in one arm, primus stove under the other, though he didn’t even manage to injure anybody. Anyway, Begemot also carried a big magazine, but everybody knows cats are just pussies, just like everybody knows manuscripts don’t burn. Mysterious foreigners with different colored eyeballs. Pshaw!

You may be out for blood, but I’d recommend tomato juice. It’s healthier.

From all the years I have spent here on BIN posting hard to twist scriptures, words from the mouth of Jesus Christ and papers on doctrines– I finally must accepted this Fact:

Those claiming to be Christians have latched on to a hand full of scriptures “they” can accept as those scriptures require them to do nothing but run their mouths and they care not what the huge remaining mountain of scriptures say.

“I have love in my heart and have been baptized into Jesus.” Or something to that effect, And to them — that is all that is required – it’s a done deal!

And the nice benefit of this kind of religion it has no detrimental effect on ones life style like having to rest on a day or being required to attend on certain “holidays”

I asked that very verbose and vain fellow, the one that “loves” you so much, a question regarding Passover/easter; basically does it matter which is correct and does it matter which Christ observed?

This fine fellow gave the answer most will offer—“I can’t be bothered with these Jewish things I have this holy spirit and nothing else is worth worrying about, its all trivial any way.”

In other words; I care not one wit about what Jesus Christ had to say about this, that or the other thing – I am saved — I spoke the magic words its over and done – I’m in!

So sad! These folks have no concept of what is just ahead.

And our Savior gave us all fair warnings over and over.

For a proper perspective on “my cat” and all things associated, you may want to reference The Master and Margarita, a novel written by Mikhail Bulgakov.. one of the finest literary pieces of the 20th century. You”ll be “enlightened”, if you give it a bit of consideration. Whether you’re capable of that is now questionable given your latest response.

As for being “out for blood”, That is a totally wrong interpretation. I said, “I came back for “blood”.. and declared it a defining statement, meaning, it is critical for understanding. Define the terms accurately.
What “blood” and the phrase actually means is, I came back to BIN for my BROTHERS… and in particular, for the three who have passed in just over the past year. I’m here to carry on what was, what is, and will be, in their memory.

Now,.. War Game.. I ask you to refer to the FYI link I posted, within which I began with a PDF from the Rand Corporation re: War Games, posted – 6/11/17, and where I spilled a few significant nuggets in reply to Knarlydawg.

..and that is only a few things on that one particular article..

            Check this:

Japan: ..”Japanese apprehensions regarding the development of an interconnected system of Chinese military and commercial ports centers primarily on the protection of trading interests. 90% of Japan’s imported oil flows to Japan through the sea lanes of the South China Sea, and any undue Chinese influence in the region is seen as a potential threat to Japanese economic security….”

“In 2010, in part because of increased diplomatic tension with China, Japan announced revised National Defence Program guidelines, which advocate enhanced surveillance and reconnaissance operations in the Ryukyu islands, as well as the increased support for submarine activities.[9] At the US–Japan Security Consultative Committee on June 21, 2011, the Japanese and US governments issued a firm joint declaration announcing intentions for the maintenance of the strong US naval deterrent in the Taiwan Strait and the expansion of security ties with ASEAN, Australia, and India..”

haha.. note the date.. June 21, 2011.. Today is June 21.. just another interesting aspect of all that I’m doing here..

Yeah so, anyway.. ACX CRYSTAL rams the USS Fitzgerald, 6/17/17. It was your use of the word “crystal” in context, that caught my attention in part because of other “connections” and patterns that were emerging..along with all the and regarding this event, all point to bad INTENT. btw.. who knew a ship could be blind, deaf and dumb? haha..

I can provide much more on this one event. “My cat carries one big magazine”.. and there is that whole baseball thing that happened and a few other notable events………

and I’m still looking at Dearborn/Detroit. Something brewing there for sure.

The Master and Margarita is simply phenomenal, everybody else who has attempted that surreal genre an also-ran, like Marquez, but Bulgakov’s opus was born from great adversity, over a long period of time. It’s maybe THE masterpiece of modern fiction, yes. Anyway, must run, but slip Begemot some vodka, tell him I don’t really drown cats. I’ll return at a later time, to try and put together whatever you may, or may not, be talking about.

The truth is somewhat worse than you’re making it, old fella. After posting the very verse wherein Paul admonishes us not to be judged in such things, The Taker, in the self-same posting, reported that he harbors ‘disdain’ for the folks who do make such distinctions.

Even in this late hour, a man has to go a way to find such brazen inconsistency and anti-Christian rhetoric. Whatever else Taker is or isn’t, he doesn’t make himself very hard to figure out. Just Another hyper-student who has rendered himself immobile and set in the common cement of sanctimoniousness by virtue of his very efforts to set himself apart. Just Another by-passer, out of The Way, demanding that others live by the Word when he himself does not. Just Another pontifical uppity who’s convinced himself that meaningful dialogue about the Word of God with men who don’t think like him, is beneath him and therefore Just Another dissembler who refuses to engage.

And there’s nothing new or distinguished about any of it.

OK so I’m going to take a serious note here now. You last said, “…to try and put together whatever you may, or may not, be talking about.”
Well, I’m going to tell you exactly what I’m talking about, and have been talking about for quite some time in this future/past present rain scrypt.

For years I ran a gathering of Gamers called the Crypt of Fallingwater. Now, I am the only one left standing. My last “brother” suddenly died just a few months ago. His all-time favorite Game was 4D chess, a Game in which we would predict “tomorrow’s” news, events, and experiences. we ALL loved this Game. Our success rate was stunning.
In Honor of all my “brothers” of the Crypt, I have absolutely blitzed the BIN with 4D chess – “predictive” commenting – the Games, while tracking a certain Game of a higher level that has been playing out on the global stage over the past few weeks.. it began (for me) May 30th, one week after the “Global Game” began.
Been a HELL of a month.. and I “see” that the Highest of “Games” has been running it’s course like a madman. Everyone sees this.. events occurring everywhere in the world at such a frenetic rate that it’s impossible to keep up.

Yeah, so, that’s all for now.

Rain, you opened Pandora’s box, hit a nerve, your reply will be below, where the columns are wider. Clean Begemot’s gun…

Rain, I got skunked, trying to understand what you posted yesterday, though believe Citizen Canine is a stroke of genius, that nobody deserved getting mowed down over that, question your sense of jurisprudence. But your clarification as to the game, which, sorry, I’ve no knowledge of, makes sense now, yet the primal image of the black cat and machine gun etched into my consciousness. If you would just stick to Bulgakov, since none of the, at least, trolls here are the grand theologians to address the revolutionary significance of paralambano, that proves many got something wrong. Can’t do Asian naval situations on solstices, but Bulgakov I can do. (Sorry, legends in your own minds, you usual suspects, ye trolling tares: busted! Actually, you’ve never been able to answer any hard stuff, anywhere on the web, when your bluff is called, 1 Corinthians 2:14. What else is new? You really need to find a con you have a prayer of getting away with! But that won’t happen, so I’ll let you get back to being beefy frauds, posting your nonsense, your motto, “I may not know anything about theology, Greek, Christ or scripture generally, forget about it, but I am a demonic horse’s ass, daily, and did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.”) Rain, you do need to know I wasn’t sending you messages about Asian naval operations!

Now, I have read The Master and Margarita, in every translation (oddly, liked the most panned by purests, more recent Ginsberg, though it does omit some material, still quite fresh, colorful), as well as treatises and historical surroundings, read everything in print of Bulgakov I could find in English. Amazing story behind White Guard, which was a play by another name, incredible it didn’t get Bulgakov axed by Stalin, a sort of White Russian, anti-Communist kick in the rear Stalin enjoyed, saw a few times. (The story Heart of a Dog makes the Bolsheviks look like the utter fools they were, nothing cloaked, insulting satire that surely would have gotten him executed: did nobody see that work?) Either the sheer will of God or that play, amusing Stalin, saved Bulgakov, but he, in turn, denied a living for unacceptable narratives and undesirable material, not allowed to leave Soviet Russia and make a living, while, at the same time, not allowed to make a living and have a decent life, there. He was toyed with like a trapped mouse, most others executed for merely having his brains, much less being a bit too subversive, but Bulgakov was treated as if kept alive just to torment, to suffer. Weird goings on in his life for real, and his life, predicament, the poverty and suppression, most sad, heartbreaking, I believe The Master and Margarita perhaps one of a kind from having arisen out of that strange, very real cauldron, where nothing made sense, but to turn the whole situation into a divine comedy. You can’t help but love and grieve such a man, a better man than those around him. He had some real integrity, as well as an imagination with no bounds, though some of his injecting a fictional Christ narrative disquieting to a fundamentalist, in the sense some things are maybe best left not toyed with, even though only devices of an allegorical, surreal story.

I have a theory about guys like Stalin, that he didn’t believe in what he projected, likely thought his own apparatus a bunch of fools, also think of the devil this way: he respects his enemies with a brain, more than his loyal flunkies, who don’t have any brains. I can see Stalin or the devil thinking, “If they’re really for me, they’ve got to be dumb as rocks.” You can’t respect that in people, any more than a con man can respect his marks, and Satanism is a con game. For some time, Woland I had a hard time seeing as a Stalin figure, as some saw, if you think of Stalin as the clueless, Godless Communists that Woland and crew were always running rings around, but I also came to believe Bulgakov saw Stalin the ringmaster, who wasn’t even of them, wasn’t really that dumb Communist, who also toyed with Bulgakov’s life, let him live because Bulgakov wasn’t just a clueless flunky, had a mind of his own and a straight arrow, believe he had Stalin’s sardonic respect. That would be incredible vision, insight into Stalin, that fits, even explains some things. I now believe Bulgakov was saying that Stalin was a big, evil fraud, like some noisome foreign invader, that was turning Russia upside down. And I forget where Stalin was from, but he was rough cut, not Moscow, more civilized Russian. Actually, though, Bulgakov was Ukranian, of that White Russian upbringing, which, outside Stalin being a fraud, Stalin the mindless Communist would have gotten rid of, Stalin finding anybody with brains a threat, and a White Army sympathizer? Forget about it, if Uncle Joe was really such a mindless Bolshevik, as opposed to a ruthless dictator, enjoying dictating, the big con, wreaking havoc, his uniform a prop. Yes, I finally came to also see Woland as Uncle Joe comes to Moscow, too, though perplexing how Woland at least appears the sophisticated gentleman, this hard to reconcile with Stalin, but perhaps the point Stalin wasn’t what he seemed, from a differnet angle? The Master is, of course, poor Bulgakov himself, who may as well burn his manuscript, but it won’t burn, even gets thwarted at that.

Of course, Bulgakov got published long after his death, and still years after Stalinism finally crapped out, for the count, when the Bolsheviks removed a stick or two from their butts to finally recognize monumental art, a credit to their culture. (Since manuscripts don’t burn, proof, eh?) There used to be an historic, memorial graffiti wall to Bulgakov some fools painted over not so long ago, during a renovation, what maybe used to be his apartment building, a picture of which may be still online, somewhere. There was part of a touching memorial poem to Bulgakov by his friend Anna Akhmatova, that somebody wrote the no grave roses line from on that wall, such a beautifully chaotic, art graffiti celebration of intellectuals, with the bench in the park, Begemot carrying a primus stove, but a poem that captured Bulgakov well, this in its entirity. Anna had it rough, too.

Anna Akhmatova – In Memory of Mikhail Bulgakov

Here is my gift, not roses on your grave,
            not sticks of burning incense.
You lived aloof, maintaining to the end
            your magnificent disdain.
You drank wine, and told the wittiest jokes,
            and suffocated inside stifling walls.
Alone you let the terrible stranger in,
            and stayed with her alone.

Now you’re gone, and nobody says a word
about your troubled and exalted life.
Only my voice, like a flute, will mourn
            at your dumb funeral feast.
Oh, who would have dared believe that half-crazed I,
I, sick with grief for the buried past,
I, smoldering on a slow fire,
having lost everything and forgotten all,
would be fated to commemorate a man
so full of strength and will and bright inventions,
who only yesterday it seems, chatted with me,
hiding the tremor of his mortal pain.

Rain, do be sure to keep on top of those Japanese and Chinese sailors, brewing in Detroit! (Been there before, a lot of Palestinians, Muslim holy men, doing stuff like selling liquor to infidels. Got lost in a bad part of town one night, which I understand is now all Detroit, wound up getting out of the car to get directions, stepped from the ghetto into a liquor store, manned by an enclave from the West Bank. Talk about surreal. I didn’t know whether I’d gotten a respite from being shot on the street, only to get blown up.)

OK, a lot to go through there, Paralambano.. I’ll get back to you on some of it later.

Things are getting very complicated for me.. the reason being, I’m tracking the patterns that connect to multiple events.
For now, I’ll focus on the Crystal/Fitzgerald. This article came out this morning and I just read it:

Please read this one through. Look for any terms, phrasing, words etc. that ring a bell, as in comments e.g. yours and mine.. those things always grab my attention but what makes matters difficult is that I posted my pursuits in several different locations in the BIN. One of these days I’ll wrap it all up into a ball and burn it. (a fastball pitch)

            btw, Mitsubishi means, “three diamonds”.

The cat is not disrespect, rather an attempt at humor I’d think you’d recognize, the historic cat versus dog camps. Lighten up, don’t make a moral issue of a joke, and humor issued to somebody else. I realize there are people like crack babies, who don’t get humor, but this is misunderstanding the humor, do you see that? Don’t say things simply meant to amuse I don’t get? It was not related, in any way, to disrespect: you’re projecting that.

As to the other, yes, somebody who makes a career of contradicting anybody and anything, most especially truth he foolishly and with a narcissistic venom trounces, out of nowhere, often in a wolf pack of people who don’t even have Sunday school theology in tow: that’s rebuke. You’re right. I don’t respect tares. Again, he’s a doter, a disputer, a troll, often mean as hell, spoiling to disrupt, an authority on all things he knows nothing about, which never stops him, who has, consistently, attacked many who didn’t deserve his obnoxious, gratuitously insulting drivel and what he mistakes for theology, what little you see, one of those instant, search engine authorities, who looked it up just now, usually providing information entirely unrelated to the topic at hand, mangling Greek he copies and pastes like it’s a salad, when you were talking about a context, and this just a smokescreen, when the truths can be thoroughly expressed in English, should be expressed in English. His Greek dropping gig from Google is a smokescreen, “makes me look scholarly” crapola, dime a dozen, web theological fraud stuff no seminarian would engage in, he often just disputing, off topic. He just grabs definitions out of a hat, that often go to refuting the English translations of whole committees of experts, and certainly to contradict the one he’s attacking. He just butts right in to dispute whole conversations, doesn’t even feel the need to be aware the topic, with his gutter manners. He’s like a butcher who would contradict a brain surgeon, some Archie Bunker of pretend theology. It’s so obvious. And some of these people are just going to trample anything you say: it’s what they do, trample truth, contradict any and all things, accuse, all demonic behavior. You see their name at the top of the post, the contradicting and slander most always follow, like clockwork. I’d not even approach certain deep subjects here, at all, to watch some holy things of God dragged through the mud. One article, he and one of his buddies tried to shred some of the best New Testament theology I’ve seen here, in the most repugnant, accusatory, demonic fashion. You know what would actually bother me? If any of these people agreed with me, as they’re, quite simply, mean people, filled with deceit.

If you think the attack dog trolling should be respected, as well as making God a liar on what are very basic, Sunday school issues, most often, if they’re your buddies, fine. I see respect as earned, and you don’t earn it, being a trollish, disputing, obnoxious horse’s rear, trying to bully people who didn’t attack you, contradicting anything and everything, in the process trying to make God’s truths a lie. Again, the consistent behavior and pattern are clear, guys like Beef leaving that trail, everywhere they go, and this is scripture in such matters of Christian truth being disputed. I would not consider any of these people a friend, see no such people in my congregation, who would also be very lonely people in that congregation, authentic Christians who are in agreement on certain truths never disputed, and have some basic manners just befitting a civilized human being. Take it or leave it, not my problem or affair, here’s, again, some applicable scripture that addresses the behaviors:

I would entirely agree with you, to this extent, that just ignoring them is better. I just don’t feel like that today, sometimes just like to call a spade a spade, when attacked. Everybody’s got to have their own kind of fun, and at least I tell no lies, even when mischievous. And somebody does say something true I shouldn’t repeat, though find it funny, about people that can’t take a joke. Anyway, it is what it is. I have suggested some people may try getting more fiber, but they won’t hear that, either.

…any time you care to lay it on the line and begin behaving according to the faith you profess…

            …just let me know.

Re your assessment of my knowledge of Greek — it fits perfectly with everything else you vaingloriously imagine and with your assessment of things in general. That’s something else we can put to the test, as in, test everything. Why, we could engage in a timed Q and A about New Testament Greek right here, and see just what’s what. And in a similar vein, your other charges lack confirming witness, fella. But since you’ve now demonstrated an utter disregard for what is true in actual fact, you’d might as well sally forth down the road you’ve chosen, and ignore all of Scripture since you’ve already chosen to ignore most of it.

Whatever else I am or not, the men of these boards know damn well I don’t retreat from an invitation to engage. But you do. And if there’s one thing most of us have learned here over the years, it’s always the empty suits, devoid of sound scriptural understanding, who make flight from examination their hallmark.

Good speed, Taker. In whichever direction you think best to travel. All your routs of escape lead away from submission to the Gospel, to the teaching of the Apostles, and to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

good advice firmament and also God’s Holy Feasts as well as they were created before creation to mark the days on which the major events in God’s plan of salvation occur. They are the shadows, they foreshadow the events.

Jesus Christ returns at the Last Trump on the day that last Trump is sounded which is the Feast of Trumpets.

Passover is not a Feast day but was the first major event before the Plan could begin; Christ our PASSOVER was sacrificed for us.

On the Feast of Pentecost AKA the Feast of First Fruits, God the Father began to pour out His Spirit on those He called to be in the body of Christ, HIS Church, GOD’s first fruits

On the Day of Atonement Christ removes Satan far from this earth,

The Feast of Tabernacles is the time of the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ

and The Last Great Day i.e. the 8th day of the Feast is the time all who never had an opportunity for their one chance for eternal life are resurrected to flesh and blood i.e. the 2nd resurrection see Ezekiel 37

Jesus ALREADY came back and he is NEVER EVER going to return again you only missed the ENTIRE GOSPEL MESSAGE OF CHRIST you fools!?!?!….Even Islamic theology is waiting for the second coming of Christ but this is also how we know slam dunk that Muhammad was also a false teacher…just like most “bible teaching Christians”…….THE SECOND COMING Thou Fool! “I come quickly” so “Hold fast till i come”… NOT …“in another 2000 yrs I might be coming soon any time now, so hold fast”!?! …those that deny the second coming of Christ in that first generation are practicing a damnable heresy in denying the lord that bought them ( 2Peter 2:1-2 ;2Tim 4:8)…….Mat 7:23..”I NEVER KNEW YOU” …..Mat 10:33. But whosoever shall deny me before men……..sound familiar?…. ……. If I said I am coming to your house in this generation when these things happen but no one knows the day or hour what fool would think I might be coming in 2000 years latter!?!? ..2 Tim 4: 4. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be TURNED UNTO FABLES……. It is a biblical fact according to the bibles own figures that last days are the last 70 years of the number of years between BC596…to AD70 = 666 yrs the period of time outlined once as a MAN and once as a BEAST in Daniel Ch 2 & 7 respectively .as the time the 7 fold (7 seals/trumps vials) curse of the law of Moses was poured out on the physical seed of Israel purified until only a spiritual seed was left…

Gal 1: 8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

The book of Revelation offers us an interesting Theological dilemma. It states Rev 22:16. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. Revelation also states it is “the true sayings” of Jesus and that it is “the testimony of Christ”. If this is not “the gospel of Jesus Christ” then what is it and should we consider it accursed testimony of an angel? If it is not to be considered accursed, then it cannot be some other gospel message then what was already given previously. However, this is the conundrum, for if this is the gospel message, then why do so few understand it? There is a possibility which few consider but is the overall thesis of this apology. The reason people don’t understand revelation is because they never understood what the gospel message was in the first place! In that case, where does that put those who claim it is not essential for salvation? Do you not find it quite curious that the most “Personally” given NT book By Jesus himself, is the least understood and given the least importance for Salvation in Christendom?….There are numerous preachers and bible exegetes but as Paul said “… I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge” . Most who profess the name of Christ are feeding on doctrines of devils and the ignorant.. There are, without question, many “qualified” teachers and scholars with many years of “dedication” and “solid education”. However, teachers, no matter how well lettered or numbered in degrees; if obtained from others; who are just as equally ignorant in such matters, are just “ blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”………………

And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also THEY SAW GOD, and did eat and drink………..But Christ said….. John 1:18. NO MAN HATH SEEN GOD AT ANY TIME; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. A person can see with their understanding and or see with their eyes…. It can see “seen” for certain that everything that Christ described was seen by the folks of that day in His coming but do they perceive that was him? …So what Christ said is true every eye saw him but the world does not see him….. With the eye they and folks still today can see everything Christ described to have taken place, but they do not “keep” ( believe and understand) his words as such they do not see him nor shall they ever.

Can you prove it’s fake? Even if you can’t, what are you willing to wager?

Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, BUT THE FATHER ALONE. (emphasis mine) 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. 42 “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. 43 But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. Yes Jesus Christ is returning but this time as a mighty warrior KING to utterly destroy those that hate Him, those that refuse to obey HIM.

verse 21 below —21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Jesus Christ will slay millions HIMSELF –this is not a rapture — this is THE Mighty KING coming to earth to set up HIS KINGDOM and to rule with a rod of iron,

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and—– make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called ——–The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Defeat of the Beast and False Prophet

        17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

        48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

        49 And shall begin to smite [his] fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint [him] his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I have found many, actually the majority, totally ignore scripture that either tells them THEY must obey or tells them something they do not want to believe – IS true.

this parable is of a Lord returning home from a journey to HIS estate and this lord rewards the righteous servants that obeyed and cuts asunder those that did not.

this is not a rapture — this is the Return of Jesus Christ as KING of kings and LORD of lords.

But hey I know no one wants to hear that — they want to “party in heaven’ and miss all that enduring until the end stuff.

All can continue to turn their heads from scriptures they do not like – but there is always a day of reckoning.

that day is 7 years from the time the daily sacrifice is stopped or prevented, that ‘may” have occurred almost one year ago. They had the red heifer which is required before the sacrifice could be made.

But who cares “we” will soon be in heaven drinking mint juleps says those with no works.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

here’s something interesting I found, thought I might pass it on:

If you follow out the logic here, the word “Atonement” shows up in the following verses in Deut at the place that would correspond to 2032…put this with my previous speculations about 2032 above…

once again, only SPECULATION…nope, I don’t know the day or the hour either…but it makes you think…
