Simo Hayha (December 17,1905 to April 1, 2002)

A soldier from Finland holds the record for the highest known sniper kills ever by a soldier. He did 705 confirmed killings, which included 505 with sniper rifles and 200 with a submachine gun. He used an iron bolt action rifle. Starting his military service in 1925, his duties as a sniper started in the winter war that took place from 1939 to 1940 between Finland and Russia. During this time Hayha had to endure the most unsurvivable temperatures up to 40 degrees below zero. In less than 100 days of war he had 505 confirmed kills and if you include the unconfirmed ones it goes to 542 kills.

Carlos Norman Hathcock II (May 20, 1942 to February 23, 1999)

Carlos Norman Hathcock was one of the most impressive snipers in the US marine core. He was nicknamed “the white feather sniper”.

He had won dozens of sniper championships and was a very potent army man during the Vietnam War. With 93 confirmed killings he had the enemy so much afraid that hey put up a bounty of $30000 in those times against his name. Hathcock fired the most famous sniper shot in the history. He fired a shot that went through the telescope of the enemy sniper and hit him in the eye from a very far distance. According to Hathcock the only way this was possible was if both the snipers were looking directly at each other and luckily he was the one who fired first.

Adelbert F Waldron (March 14, 1933 to October 18, 1995)

An American sniper who with 109 killings to his names holds the record of the most killings by an American sniper in history. He not only had that impressive kill record but he topped that with great bit of accuracy. As narrated by a famous book, Adelbert Waldron had such great accuracy that once while on a moving boat when his group of troops of attacked by an enemy sniper everyone was busy where the enemy was, Waldron just pulled his rifle and killed the Vietnamese right in a coconut without even the slightest of hesitation. Such was the accuracy of the man.

Corporal Francis Pegahmagabow (March 9, 1891 to August 5, 1952)

He was an Ojiba warrior with Canadians in battles like those at mount sorrel. He had 378 confirmed kills and in an excess of 300 captures. Thrice he was awarded the military medal and twice was he wounded seriously. He was an expert marksman and scout.

Lyudmila Pavlichenko (July 12, 1916 to October 10, 1974)

She had 309 confirmed kills. In June 1941 she was about 24 years of age and the Germans were invading the Soviet Union. She was among the first volunteers to join the army. She was assigned to the red army’s 25th infantry division. The first action she ever saw was during a conflict in Odessa. She was there for 2 months and a half and was able to do 187 killings. Pavlichenko in WW2 hada total of 309 confirmed killings which had 36 snipers in them.
