Did Trump Make a “Secret Deal Not to Prosecute Hillary” in Exchange for Her Concession?

Wednesday, November 9, 2016 11:17
% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Admittedly, the question is speculative, but not without merit.

During the debates and in the heated final days of the campaign, Donald Trump vowed to assign a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary and send her to jail.

It was easily the highlight of the entire campaign:

But when you talk about apology, I think the one that you should really be apologizing for and the thing that you should be apologizing for are the 33,000 e-mails that you deleted, and that you acid washed, and then the two boxes of e-mails and other things last week that were taken from an office and are now missing.

And I’ll tell you what. I didn’t think I’d say this, but I’m going to say it, and I hate to say it. But if I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception. There has never been anything like it, and we’re going to have a special prosecutor.

When I speak, I go out and speak, the people of this country are furious. In my opinion, the people that have been long-term workers at the FBI are furious. There has never been anything like this, where e-mails — and you get a subpoena, you get a subpoena, and after getting the subpoena, you delete 33,000 e-mails, and then you acid wash them or bleach them, as you would say, very expensive process.

So we’re going to get a special prosecutor, and we’re going to look into it, because you know what? People have been — their lives have been destroyed for doing one-fifth of what you’ve done. And it’s a disgrace. And honestly, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. (source)

But, now that victory has set in, and the election is officially over, can anybody expect that he will actually do it?

Certainly, we must wait until he is inaugurated and has a chance to show what kind of president he will be.

However, Trump’s victory speech gives good reason to doubt the prospects for his actually assigning a “special prosecutor” against Hillary Clinton.

He opened the speech with praise for Clinton and a call for unity – certainly a different chord for now-president-elect Trump:

TRUMP: I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. (APPLAUSE) She congratulated us — it’s about us — on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign. I mean, she — she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.

(APPLAUSE) I mean that very sincerely. (APPLAUSE)

Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division; have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.

Certainly, there is something to be said for being a gracious winner – and for Trump, proving to his critics that he won’t be their worst nightmare.

But what really accounts for the shift in tone?

Late in the evening, John Podesta – top aide to Hillary, thoroughly implicated in wickedness by Wikileaks – announced, in essence, that the campaign would not concede, that they would wait until every last vote was counted.

Clearly, Team Hillary was fully prepared to challenge a recount, to take it to court in every venue possible. Al Gore did so (and with good cause), and she could too.

Hillary and her campaign had every opportunity to deny Trump easy victory, even when there was no real chance left for her.

And yet, shortly after Podesta’s announcement, Trump gave his victory speech, noting a call from Hillary Clinton herself in which she conceded – but on what terms?

Though it is admittedly speculative – can anyone else claim to know what was said during that call? – it is entirely possible that the primary demand for her swift admission of defeat was that any and all possibility of prosecution and investigation for her sordid and illegal activities be taken off the table.

Did Hillary make THAT call? Did Trump essentially grant her immunity from his own special court in exchange for the win he otherwise already earned?

Only time will tell.

But it STILL seems that Hillary knows something that we all do not – because she has said all along that it is not going to happen… that there isn’t even the slightest chance:

Hillary Clinton: Criminal Indictment “Not Going to Happen”

HILLARY CLINTON INDICTMENT FURY – Hillary Claims Indictment “Not Gonna Happen”

So, is she right about that?

What will Trump do in the first 100 days?

Don’t be surprised if campaign rhetoric ends up being just all talk. For Trump supporters who were, above all, opposing Hillary Clinton and urging her being prosecuted and held accountable – don’t hold your breath.

if he did then he is not the guy I thought he was ..he has her by the short and curlys and deserves to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law …along with all the other criminals that have been causing terror around the world

  • Ideas Time

She will be dead in a few years anyway and we need even the few people who supported her working with us not hating us for trying to bring her to justice. Tough call.

Nice article. They’ve both softened their language toward each other (for the moment). I expect that Trump going after Hillary or Clinton Inc., might be popularly perceived as “vengeful” or political grandstanding, even by most conservatives. I don’t expect that he will. I also don’t expect that he’ll attempt to deport millions of illegals. I think there are reasonable practical constraints on Trump doing these things – which he’ll soon discover about many of his proposals as time goes on. I suspect he’ll stick to the meat of his proposals, which are pretty good in my view, and will get better results by focusing on anti-corruption, term limits, anti-TPP – stuff of that nature – than by focusing energy on the Clintons. I’d like to see him fire Lynch and then give the new AG full support in investigating Benghazi, Emailgate, etc., while devoting his energy to reforms.

Trump was just being gracious and noble in victory.

Justice is finally coming to Washington, the swamp WILL be drained.

      WE HOPE !!!

HRC an President Obama both held exceptionally gracious press conferences in respect to the new President elect. If they had been this diplomatic and professional during the process I believe they would have awakened to a victory.

  • 2QIK4U

He could have. At the time its an excellent tactical move to secure presidency and as soon as hes fully installed he can screw that deal and put her where she belons. 666 feet under.

  • 2QIK4U

The term and meaning they imply to the public doesnt even exist.. It just sounded toxic to have an impact on the sheeple. Acid washed is non existant

  • ofnet776

Clearly when Clinton made these claims she was in a much different spot, she was on the road to the WH, her WH. Nothing like a little indictment was going to stop that. She’s no longer on that road. Plus there was no need for Trump to make any offers to her for her concession. It was late nearly 2 AM. Her concession publicly could wait. Clinton didn’t have a state where the race was tight enough for a challenge that would matter any way.

“But it STILL seems that Hillary knows something that we all do not – because she has said all along that it is not going to happen… that there isn’t even the slightest chance”

Don’t bet on it. Hills also thought the Presidency was in the bag.
If the Clintons are so sure of things, why did the Clinton Foundation transfer some $1.8 billion offshore to Qatar a couple weeks ago? Sounds like a bug-out nest egg to me.

    • LifeIs

Hillary knows some things we don’t know, and so does Trump. We can infer, but we don’t know exactly.

      1. She has a degenerative neurological disease and a short life expectancy. She’s going to die from aspiration pneumonia, or from a stroke, if nothing else kills her first.

She takes blood thinner to reduce the chance of embolism in her brain. And she had bleeding in her brain when she fell in 2012.

      2. She can blackmail enough people in the Establishment, or threaten them, to keep the lid on her many scandals.

Look at the Epstein scandal. Only one of the many people involved went to jail at all, and that was just over a year of jail time. Nobody makes an issue of the fact that Bill C. left his Secret Service detail behind, on several of the trips he made with Jeffrey Epstein.

      3. HRC and Trump both know that a global disaster will occur, any time from right now, to just under 6 months from now.

As told to Lucia Santos by Mary at Fatima, in 1917, reported by Father Malachi Martin. Alluded to by Pope John II at Fulda in 1980.

My guess: HRC did not feel up to making an appearance, was physically not up to it. Her supporters don’t want to acknowledge that she is unwell.

They needed to get her supporters out the door. Don’t cry, we still have a chance, go home.

      • JKnTX

Speak for your self with this “we” garbage, the info is all over the place and one doesn’t have to look hard to find it.
Hills didn’t even know enough to realize to get on the aircraft in NY instead of trying to go back to the motorcade that just brought the harpy to the airport.
You are talking about under a Demoncrap administration, that is changing and all bets for Hills and Bills are now off.

        • LifeIs

Nope. Bill C’s flights with Epstein were on the watch of G.W. Bush.

          His first term. 2002, 2003.

And the investigation of Epstein was finished in 2008, without touching Bill C.

That’s a Republican Bush cover up of Democrat Bill’s conduct.

You think Hillary has the strength to throw things? During her 9-11 freeze she had to have her arms moved by someone else, from behind her back. Then she couldn’t stay on her feet.

She is often held up by people. She is functional for short periods. And as you say, sometimes confused about what is going on.

          • JKnTX

            Yep, not nope.
Bill had the black eye way back when he was the Prez. Best do better research.

      • JKnTX

My guess: HRC did not feel up to making an appearance, was physically not up to it. Her supporters don’t want to acknowledge that she is unwell.

More likely she was out of control and having one of her screaming hissy fits and throwing objects at all and sundry in the area. Recall Bill’s black eye where “fell going down the stairs”?

You may be right.  I knew Trump would win in actual votes ,  I just didn’t trust they would be counted that way. Oh, I almost teared up, witnessing most of America voting Republican, regardless of their party. Oh it was truly a Revolution after all! But then…..a foreboding feeling hit me…what’s up with this? No terrorist attacks, no solar weather storms, no Hillary?

I immediately thought, oh yeah, she was cleared again by FBI, they probably made some type of deal to get rid of this because so many people would probably go down, it would expose everything. They know Trump wouldn’t let it go, her scandals or a rigged election. I don’t think he will quite have all the power he expects to get, the higher ones are still there.
    Well, we shall certainly see…

I wish I could take a bit more pleasure in seeing the shock on everyone’s face about his win, I’m just not sure wtf is really going on behind this.

    • wiseoldlady

Agree, lots of thoughts rolling around in our heads today. The most prevalent returning thought is IF Ted Cruz will hold him to the fire on any wrong paths then there is hope.

Now we must hold our breath until January 20th. If he safely gets inaugurated… or if Obama pulls stunts to ruin everything.

    • JKnTX

Pretty simple really. He has Obomber and Hills both checkmated. These hate each other and neither one dares to pull too many stunts otherwise the spotlight will go full on them. Notice how they kissed his ring with their speeches.
They are in a terrible position: If Obomber pardons Hills or Bills, then the Donald will simply go after his tail after he is in the Oval Office, and Oring is not going down for the Clintons. The Clinton’s now have no political leverage left, which is why the $1.8 billion was transferred offshore to Qatar.

    • Rockledge

Citizens didn’t vote republican. They voted against our current corrupt system which means they voted AGAINST both our sitting republican and sitting democrat politicians.

  • CaptAmerica

I seriously doubt it. However, for the good of the country he might have, or the Dem’s would riot and tear the country apart, they cannot be trusted to act civil.

    • questioneverything

Cowboy… I dont think they were worried about the Dems rioting. That’s city folk shenanigans, the Republicans are the blue collar workers, we dont DO pickets and looting, if we become involved in a civil movement it won’t in vain or something you can put a band-aid on.
It’s not the citizens the dems are concerned about, it’s their own asses.

  • coldcomfort

Oh good grief, he didn’t have to make any deal with her. She was beaten black and blue and had no other choice but to concede. She would have been an even bigger laughing stock if she hadn’t. What we have to worry about now is if he will be safe from assasination. PRAY.

    • questioneverything

Oh good grief, do you think I meant he made a deal with her? IF he made a deal, it wasn’t with her, it was with whomever is really calling the shots. Do you think the FBI reopened then closed it again in 8 days, that close to the election, just to make sure they did an efficient job? Something stinks to high heaven

    • questioneverything

But yes, she is definitely trying to avoid being a laughing stock and we still have until January before he takes office. Alot can happen, we still gotta get rid of Obama first

  • Pink Slime

If it’s true what they say. SORRY but this b* tich needs to go to jail or be HANGED. NO EXCUSE. The betrayal and treason is HORRENDOUS.

Men lost their lives waiting for a rescue that never came and the betrayal from Hillary cannot be forgiven. And this is not even mentioning her e-mailing of TOP SECRETS which were NEVER carelessness from her but a deliberate attempt to reveal them, IMO.

Had she got in office there is no doubt in my mind she would of day one amass an army of Muslims and illegal immigrants on our borders for an invasion and simultaneous disarming of American citizens.

We won, and now it’s time to turn the tables on this betrayer. Hang her first thing in the morning. Make sure she has diapers because women release feces and urine when hanged.

Already making shady deals with the enemy behind the publics back, huh?

    That didnt take long.

    Enjoy your “savior”.

  • DAR

I wouldn’t trust a word coming from the mouths of habitual and pathological liars! When they say peaceful transition, shattered ceiling, divided, etc…, those are all code words. Don’t give them the opportunity to practice under the “cloak” of darkness and inauthenticness.

  • Squeezebox

Just replace the heads of the FBI and Justice departments and then let them do their jobs along with the NYPD. The files are already there, they were just blocked by Comey & Lynch. Let them do the dirty work – no need for a special prosecutor. That way Trump takes the high road, saying that things are following normal channels without any political interference. The Clintons must be tried in the court of public opinion, any legal punishment will be icing on the cake. Can you imagine the legacy of the Clinton Memorial Library, with Hugh Hefner as the tour guide ;o)

The NYPD has the Anthony Weiner files and is willing to prosecute. The level of corruption must be brought out to the public or it will continue. The curtain is slowly being raised and if we want a real change, the common “Joe” must learn the truth in order to evolve.

This is part of a larger process in the awakening of humanity taking place across the world.

  • Rockledge

IF, and that is a big IF, any of the absurd internet accusations about here are true, chances are far more likely that she is just kissing his ass hoping for him to throw her a bone.

The dude didn’t need her blessing, he won. And she hasn’t been taken very seriously all along.
I doubt many people payed much attention to her groveling.

  • Sue Rosenorn

I’m sure she threatened him with death.

    • DRAUGR

Aww, I bet she say’s that to all her adversaries. Too bad she now has the power of wilted turnip.

I hope not and I’ll tell you why. One of the biggest reasons that Trump got the turnout that he did is because the average person in this country is tired of being a second class citizen subject to harsh laws that the elite are exempt from due to status and wealth. In order for Trump to prove that he is what he campaigned as, he will have to pursue a rigorous unbiased investigation into the Clinton’s obvious criminal activities. No one can be exempt including obama. Trump will lose all credibility if he lets the Clinton crime syndicate ride safely off into the sunset and rest secure knowing their legacy will be saintly. The American people have had eight years (much more if you count the Bush and Bill Clinton years) of corruption and crime rammed downed their throats. The American people not only deserve but demand swift justice. The American people deserve above all else The Damn Truth for once out of Washington.
