We have all heard of the many  horrific stories that came out of the old Soviet Union about how they used to put their men and women in psychiatric wards for the crime of believing in God. The reason the Soviet Union did this was because anyone that believed in a God having higher authority then the state was an enemy, and traitor to the Soviet unions belief in the state having the highest authority.

Many people have told us that something like that could never happen here in Amerika, because we are apparently, according to them above human nature. Well guess what, we have news for them it is already  occurring here. On July 10, 2013, an Ohio Pentecostal woman was in her 15 day of prayer and fasting when she became confused and disoriented at a local BP gas station so she called her mother for help. Her mom took her to the St Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland where they took a blood test that revealed low sodium, potassium, and electrolyte levels, of indicative of water intoxication and and hyponatremia. without waiting for the blood results, Dr. Brar mis diagnosed her as suffering from bipolar disorder with psychotic features. When the Pentecostal women refused that diagnosis and told them that she had been praying and fasting for the last 15 days, and didn’t want their anti-psychotic drugs, they forced her to go into a psyche ward.

It’s Prayer, not Psychosis, Woman Says

CLEVELAND (CN) – A self-published spiritual author sued a doctor and hospital, claiming she was involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric ward after becoming “confused and disoriented” on the 15th day of a “biblical fast,” and that hospital staff misinterpreted her prayers as psychotic tendencies.
Jane Doe sued St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and Dr. Saraj Brar, in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
Doe, 56, describes herself in the complaint as “a Pentecostal Christian and a self-published author of books about God and spirituality.”
The lawsuit continues: “As part of her religious devotion, she periodically observes a biblical fast during which she abstains from all foods and consumes only water.
