The Kingdom Of God In Prophecy, The Mountain Of The Lords House In The Last Days.

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

This is an exhaustive study,…

His word will go forth from atop of his holy mountain in Sion!  Amen.

This is a study of the word of God to look at and examine what the prophets said about the Kingdom of God, here we will look at prophecy before Jesus’s time to get a vision of what would become of the kingdom that Christ announced had come when He first began His ministry. Please remember that the Kingdom of God is not the same thing as the kingdom of Israel. Also this study is provided so that people will not be misled by false interpretations of end time prophecy of which abound the world over. You will see somethings in this text from the scriptures that you have not been taught, and you will see the truth of them as the word of God proves these matters to you beyond a shadow of a doubt. Your vision of the future of the kingdom might be brighter than you think, but this does not mean there will not be some troubling times ahead of us. Furthermore for those of you who get a witness of the Spirit and understand these prophecies, you will be singing a new song as it were. As a first time reader of this message you have no idea of whats in store for you here today. My prayer for you today is that the spiritual weather in the universe will clear up and that you will have some excellent days of vision in the days to come. Today is the beginning of a new vision for you, provided to you by the prophets of old through the Holy Word of Yahweh, our Mighty One of Old.

“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14

Here Daniel (a prophet from among the Jews of the Kingdom of Israel from the lower kingdom of Judea who as a boy was taken captive to Babylon for the rest of his life) gives us a prophecy of the “Son of Man” coming to take possession of a kingdom. We here today know that the first thing that Jesus preached was that the Kingdom of God had come, which was this kingdom that was given to Christ that is prophesied in Daniel Seven. This kingdom was given to Him of His Father in heaven.  It is not the old fleshly kingdom of Israel that Jesus came into to possess the dominion of, though He was born of the old, but a new spiritual kingdom known as the Kingdom of God which Jesus came to possess as His inheritance of His Father, who reigns in all of the heavens. Furthermore we read that His dominion, and hence reign, is everlasting and will not pass away, and His kingdom is the one that shall never be destroyed. Some might not be willing to believe that the fleshly kingdom of Israel was replaced, however in following Christ and His preaching about the spiritual Kingdom of God we know that a new dominion began in Christ, who rules from on high seated at the right hand of the Father, as He also reigns upon the throne of His father David.

To confirm that this is true and that this Kingdom of God is properly identified, of which is also known as the kingdom of Christ we must consider the following scripture:

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. ” Luke 1:31-33

Hence the Kingdom of God came in Christ; it began then, not before, nor some time afterwards. And most important of all here in this study is that this kingdom has no end. We will see the truth of this more clearly later herein.

The thing that you will want to ponder here with regards to the teachings of men who talk about a future coming kingdom, or the end of a Gentile Dispensation is whether or not these teachings are true? Are we in the Kingdom of God now or do we look for a kingdom to come? And will as some say the age of grace for the Gentiles come to an end, where another age for the old kingdom of Israel will begin? In the next chapter we will want to look at the Kingdom of God of which in the Old Testament has foreshadowed as being like a great mountain.

The Great And High Mountain

As God’s people it is important for us to be able to understand what will happen in the kingdom over the ages, we need to know this so that we here today can have a vision of what to expect of God’s plan for us, and also know how to recognize false prophecy. To identify the kingdom in prophecy we must look for its “symbology,” in Daniel Two we read about the image of the beast that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of, and of which Daniel interpreted, and we learn this prophecy about a stone and a mountain:

“This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.” Daniel 2:32-35

The stone strikes the feet of iron and clay, destroying the image of the beast.

We know that the figurative stone that followed the Hebrews in the wilderness was Christ, and that He is the rock of our salvation, and the stone set at naught of the builders. Remember this fact about the stone set a naught since we will have to consider this.

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.” Daniel 2:44-45

The Amplified Bible provides this interesting translation:

“And in the days of those kings shall raise up the God of heaven a kingdom, which into the eons shall not be corrupted. And his kingdom, people to another shall not be left, but it shall thin and winnow all the kingdoms, and this one shall rise up into the eons.” Daniel 2:44 Hence it will be perpetuated forwards into all of the ages to come. Likewise the King James text tells us “and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.”

What we are seeing here is that this stone like a seed, grows up and becomes a great mountain that fills the earth, which represents the Kingdom of God of which we entered into through Christ. Furthermore Christ kingdom shall not be driven out of nor off of the earth, but destroys all the earthly kingdoms and is the last one standing and last forever.

Consider now that this prophecy came to Daniel many centuries after Israel had became a kingdom, and we see here that in the times of the kings depicted by the image in the dream, that God will set up a kingdom. And so, this distinguishes the new kingdom from the old kingdom of Israel which was pre-existent at the time of this prophecy. Whereas believers in Christ know that He came preaching a new kingdom called the Kingdom of God which is not the kingdom of Israel. Mark 1:14-15

Now notice that the symbol for the Kingdom of God is this “great mountain” that fills all of the earth, hence there is a mountain in prophecy somewhere that we need to look at.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” Isaiah 2:2-4

The key thing to notice here is the expression “shall be established in the *top of the mountains.” There is a location in Israel known as the top of the mountains also called the northern heights of Israel. Hence we will encounter a shadow or type of this mountain in the scriptures. And as we can see from Daniel Two there is a new mountain, and so a new kingdom, hence a New Mt Zion just like we have a New Jerusalem. What you are about to learn in this part of this study has a specific scripture to prove and hence define this mountain, which we will see after we follow the trail of this subject.

“For in mine holy mountain, in ‘the mountain’ of the ‘height of Israel,’ saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.” Ezekiel 20:40 Notice here that we read “..there will I accept them” you will ponder this later on, where the 144000 are the first fruits in Revelation 14:4.

“..and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain.” Here what we want to locate is a great and high mountain in prophecy or in type.

“And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,” Revelation 21:10

From Isaiah onward the prophecy of the mountain was perceived by the Jews to be old Mt Zion. However from Ezekiel onward the location of the mountain gets changed, in Ezekiel it is seen in the top heights of Israel which happens to be the northern mountain range, where the highest mountain in all of Israel is Mt Hermon. It was here upon the rock basin of this mountain that Jesus happened to say some interesting things. In Daniel the mountain comes to fill all of the earth.

We will look at what Jesus said shortly herein. Immediately though, we want to look at the differences between the old kingdom and the new. Also we will look at that scripture previously mentioned that defines things as I am saying they are being defined here. In the name of the Lion of Judah and by His blood, the blood of the Lamb.

In the old kingdom to become a citizen of that kingdom a soul had to be born of one of the tribes, and so have one of the names of the twelve fathers upon their tribe as well as have their forefather’s blood in their veins. Thus a soul was born into the kingdom by flesh and blood lineage. When Jesus came preaching about the new Kingdom of God

He told them that they had to be born again, and not of flesh and blood but of the Spirit. In the Kingdom of God being born an Israelite with the blood of the twelve tribes in your veins was not what granted you access into the Kingdom of God, instead it was through the name of Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and His shed blood, the blood of the Lamb that a soul becomes a citizen of the new kingdom. Hence you have to believe in Jesus in order to access the new kingdom. And unlike the flesh and blood kingdom of Israel which could be seen, the new kingdom was unseen and hence in the Spirit and dwelt in our hearts.

“And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21

The difference between the old kingdom and the new was that the old was a flesh and blood kingdom, whereas the new is a spiritual kingdom, and hence spiritual is definitely superior to fleshly. And furthermore it is the name of the Lion of Judah and His blood shed for us that makes us a citizen in the new kingdom, whereas the names of the fathers of the twelve tribes and their blood in our veins is insufficient to provide us access into the Kingdom of God.

The first kingdom was earthly and of a fleshly nature, whereas the second kingdom is heavenly and of a spiritual nature, and so ancestral flesh and blood is not the means of access, such as was the case in the earthly and fleshly kingdom of old.

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” 1 Corinthians 15:45-50

You have to believe in Christ to enter this kingdom, your Hebrew or Israelite ancestry in no way will grant you access, just like Peter confessed that he believed that Jesus was the Christ, where believing in Jesus, and hence faith in Jesus Christ is the key to the kingdom. It is the rock foundation of our salvation, in that “whosoever believes in Me shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Therefore we enter by His name and His blood instead of one of the names of the twelve tribes and their blood.

Now notice what happens upon the rock basin of Mt Hermon, in Caesarea Philippi:

“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this *rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:13-19

What a coincidence that while there upon the rock basin of Mt Hermon He said “upon this rock I shall build my church..” remember here that the word of God is of divine intelligence and coincidences are more than mere coincidence. Here is your first witness and the second will be more profound and definitive. Our foundation and key to the kingdom is our faith in Christ our rock, believing that he is the Son of Yahweh. And then by coincidence he was also standing on this rock basin too, so ponder this.

In theology the words Zion and Sion are used interchangeably, however in the Bible they might seem to mean the same thing but there is a difference, which the following scripture will help us to see in that in the beginning originally Mt Sion was not in Jerusalem.  (Note that the word Sion is translated Zion in the NKJV so consult the KJV, apparently the writers assumed that these mean the same thing although they do not.)

“And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sun rising; From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is (Mt) Hermon,” Deuteronomy 4:47-48 Here was where Moses camped with the tribes in the times before they crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land.

Mt Zion is in Jerusalem whereas Mt Sion is in the northern heights and is another name for Mt Hermon according here to Moses, also called Mt Transfiguration.

This is how it was in the beginning, and this is how it will be in the end. Furthermore we can see here that God has some hidden manna in the Bible for us to have Him unseal and reveal when the time comes for us to digest and be nourished by it. This then is our second witness and it is most definitive. Where Mt Sion is Mt Hermon and not Mt Zion in Jerusalem. Furthermore consider that when the tribes came near to this mountain to camp in this region, that it was thereafter that they entered the Promised Land.

Now in terms of prophecy views and interpretations provided to us of men, the things written herein are somewhat of a profound fact of scripture that is born out in following the signs in prophecy and with a scriptural definition that changes everything that men have taught through the ages. Hence what is now being revealed can not be denied nor dismissed. It is now God’s time to reveal it. This is your time to see it.

The Kingdom of God is also referred to as the kingdom of heaven since it is God who reigns in heaven from on high, all the way down to earth where the gates of the kingdom are provided for us here in this life. And the key to the kingdom is faith in Christ. And so it is upon this rock, that He builds His church. And it happens to be that upon this great and high mountain, which is the Kingdom of God made up of us who are believers in Christ, that New Jerusalem is seen descending upon by John. Where Mt Hermon is a type of the mountain that grows to fill all of the earth. And hence this is a visionary way of understanding the growth of the kingdom, which has been sealed up and veiled from the mind of men till now. Furthermore New Jerusalem descends upon a mountain of people who are Christians as opposed to descending upon old Mt Zion in Israel. Remember that the great and high mountain fills all of the earth and hence is the kingdom of Christ that fills the world. Furthermore there is some growth yet to come in the Kingdom of God despite what men might teach and think. Revelation 7:9-10

Now note this, it is not to the old mountain and the old city that we look to in this world here today, but to the new mountain which is the new kingdom of the new covenant, and the new city New Jerusalem that we look up and forwards to, we do not look back to the old city except to learn from the words of prophets of old and our Savior and His apostles who are in the foundations of the new city.

If you have now read and considered things to this point and have come this far, then you have seen that this study so far has been productive. Also you must now note that in prophecy when we see the word Sion instead of Zion we are looking at all of the things that pertain to the prophecies of the mountain of the Lord’s house in the last days, which is the mountain seen in Daniel Two and which is typed after Mt Hermon in Ezekiel. When we find the word Sion in scripture we will now know whats up with this rendering of the name.  (Remember that you can not follow this in the New King James Version since the writers of that version assumed that Sion meant Zion, many other translations assume this also, hence you must follow this in the classic King James Version.)

“For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:18-24

More than anything it is hoped that in reading what Daniel has to say about the new kingdom that came in Christ, is that contrary to the teachings and interpretations of modern men who tackle the subject of prophecy, the kingdom that came in Christ will never cease to exist here in this world. It will continue to grow until all of the kingdoms of this world are subdued and in the end be the one kingdom that will remain and never be destroyed, and hence is this kingdom that is spoken of in both Daniel 2 and 7.

In this kingdom where we are saved by God’s grace through our faith in Jesus Christ.

“Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4  This was said in the Old Testament.

In the Old Covenant there was religious life, in the New Covenant there is spiritual life.

The most important thing we can obtain from the prophecies about the Kingdom of God is that it is not going to end, and so it is not going to be replaced by a future coming kingdom, although many today have this interpretation of prophecy where they believe that there is yet a kingdom to come. However Revelation 17:12 tells us of ten kings who are looking for a kingdom yet to come, which means they have not received or come into their kingdom but look to come into it in the future, which means that they are in denial of the kingdom of God that has come in Christ:

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.” Here in Revelation 17:12 we see a reference to the ten horns of Daniel 7:7. Put aside what this world teaches about these kings being ten revived Roman kingdoms that were in the empire of Rome. You have to consider the backdrop and historical context of Daniel’s time here where both he and those who read his prophesy in the times back there would have understood who the ten kings where, you see for them the obvious thing would be that these kings were the ten lost tribes. This should now be obvious to you, and to interpret them any other way would be to remove everything from its historical context of the times back then when Daniel received this word. Let us see how this applies today, which is to say even now at this present time more so than any other time.

Today we have these wanna be kings on the radio preaching around the world about how they are looking for a kingdom to come wherein they will be the kings and priest of Yahweh in a future coming kingdom. And so they reign as kings through their one hour broadcast. Here I am speaking of the British Israelite and Israelite (Christian) Identity believers. To say the least of them they believe they are the descendants of the lost ten tribes where the Britons believe they are of the tribe of Ephraim. Hence they believe that the descendants of the lost ten tribes will be the kings in a coming kingdom on earth. I have described the specifics of their doctrine. And so isn’t this strange that they should appear now in our times? When Daniel received this prophecy, the ten tribes had already wandered off into history, and hence in the context of that time the ten kings would have foremost symbolized the lost ten tribes, but you are not suppose to believe this based upon modern interpretations, although it is what we realize when we view this in its historical context and background of Daniel’s time.

These teachings of British Israelitism are very popular in the world today especially in Europe, and were the subject of the broadcast of Herbert W. Armstrong and His World Wide Church Of God. Today there are many other international radio broadcast that preach the same message and believe that they are the modern descendants of the lost tribes and as they say “the true remnant of Yahweh’s original covenant people in the world today.” Meaning they claim to be believers in Christ but lean to the old covenant to try and prove that they are the elect and only true people of Yahweh in the world today, which is by way of flesh and blood means. Hence this is false Christianity of another kind and peculiar, who interpret the kingdom in flesh and blood ways, and who believe that another kingdom of Israel is yet to come. This in nature is counterfeit and antichrist.

We must remember that the Kingdom of God came in Christ and is steadily growing in the earth until one day it is the only kingdom that remains, it will not be destroyed. And so it is not to be replaced by a future kingdom as the ten kings are looking for to occur.

As for the reality of the kingdom, remember that Jesus said the kingdom comes not with observation (observed by the eye) but is within you. We believers have entered into and abide in the Kingdom of God now, where the Spirit of Christ indwells us.

Ultimately in the end, the kingdom will grow to the extent that no one will be able to number those in the kingdom. Elijah thought he was the only one left in all of Israel who stood for the Lord, however God showed him that God had reserved seven thousand men who had not bowed their knees to Baal. 1 Kings 19:18

The Kingdom that came in Christ will continue to grow, despite modern prophecy interpretations, it will never be removed from the earth,

“The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.” Proverbs 10:30

The righteous shall not be removed leaving the wicked to inhabit the earth. And the tares will be the first to be removed, which is a fact that is opposite and hence contrasting to the teaching that the righteous will be gathered up out of this world first to escape tribulations. So allow Jesus to show this to you in His own words.

“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” Matthew 13:30 Notice He said gather together first the tares?

Here we have two witnesses of scripture that tell us the same thing, the latter is from the testimony of Jesus and as the servant told John in Revelations “the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.” Now at this point some readers will diverge off to continue to follow their man made teachings and interpretations because they will refuse to follow what Jesus and Proverbs has to say, and will wrestle with various notions and doctrines to continue to pet their pre-tribulation rapture doctrine. I however will continue to follow the word of God on this matter, and so you will have to determine where in the Word you will come to stand, on the Word or on man’s word about what they think the Word is all about? Hence where will you come to stand? On Mt Zion? Or Mt Sion?

Now the kingdom will continue to grow until there is no means to number the citizens. Which is contrary to what many teach today in that in the end there will only be a few and hence a remnant of believers. It becomes a great mountain the fills the earth.

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” Revelation 7:9

In Revelation 7 if you will look it up, it introduces us to the topic of the 144,000 which is seen again in Revelation 14, so lets look there for a moment.

“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.” Revelation 14:1

And where was the Lamb standing? On Mt Sion and not Mt Zion. In the beginning of this book and then later on in Revelations he is seen standing in the temple in heaven in the heavenly city which comes down to Mt Sion, so you see where He is standing in prophecy. Old Jerusalem has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God.

Now here is another witness for you:

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:22-23

Jesus was in Jerusalem and hence on Mt Zion when he said this. Here we see that at some point “this mountain” will be removed and hence will take back seat and be replaced in significance as the new mountain of Daniel Two grows in the earth, which is the mountain that New Jerusalem descends upon. When Jesus said “That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed..” he meant it, either it had to be true or he uttered wasted words never to be fulfilled. Revelation 8:8 provides us a vision.

Paul explains it perfectly and so lets read this the second time here:

“For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:18-24

At some point men’s views of prophecy have to be corrected and so their inclination to apply Kingdom of God prophecies in error to the kingdom of Israel must cease. And hence the significance of Mt Zion will be superseded by Mt Sion.

“And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; ” Rev 8:8

In summarizing the prophecies of the kingdom in terms of the symbol of a mountain, it appears that the prophecies have a duality where the Jews would have perceived the mountain of the Lord’s house to be Mt Zion in Jerusalem, and this is also the case with end times prophecy teachers of all kinds. However since the prophecy extends on through the ages, and the mountain as seen in Daniel Two is depicted as filling all of the earth, we must consider a new Mt Zion as the resting place for the heavenly Jerusalem that John sees coming down out of heaven. And as can be seen by following the directions given of the prophets, where the mountain in type is foreshadowed as Mt Hermon which is the largest mountain in Israel, which is also in the northern heights of Israel, we see that there is a split off from the view that the Jews have of these prophecies, so that the prophecy can continue as the Kingdom of God that came in Christ. Hence the Jewish view is the split off view that diverges away as can be seen in Deuteronomy where Mt Hermon is the original Mt Sion. Seeing how that the Jews who failed to believe Christ continued in Judaism, but remember that the first Christians were Jews and just like any people some believe and some will not, which is no different than Gentiles. We do have Jews today who have become believers and so, we can not say that some of the Jews have not received the Messiah even in our times because many have.

In the scriptures Zion and Sion are perceived by some to be interchangeable but they are not as people have assumed.

“And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sun rising; From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is (Mt) Hermon,” Deuteronomy 4:47-48

Furthermore it appears now to the surprise of some that the subject of the 144000 are not seen standing with Christ on Mt Zion in Jerusalem but on the new mountain of Sion of the new city the Heavenly Jerusalem:

“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount *Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.” Revelation 14:1-3

Herein I have to say that today you have learned a new song, heard an old ancient story that has been veiled and hence sealed up from the minds of men. And as one who will carry the message of truth about the true vision of prophecy, you will carry and sing this song. The new song of Sion.

Now this is my question of you I asked earlier, where will you come to stand? Will you continue to look to Mt Zion or come to stand in the Word of God with the Lamb on Mt Sion?

“And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.” Zechariah 6:1 This definitely will stir up the spiritual winds of the battle field.

You might remember that Christ will come to set his foot down on the Mt of Olives, and if you will look it up, the olive tree represents all of Israel. Furthermore the Mt of Olives is split into two with part of it moving to the north and part of it moving to the south. The valley that is created between them becomes a place of refuge. And so, is this a literal prophecy or a symbolic one? Is there a message in this to come out of it to be preached in the last days? I would think there is a message in this and this message is where Jesus stands today in the word of God.

I want to say this now, some people do not actually believe that the Holy Spirit can teach one the scriptures and show a soul deep and hidden things, I kind of think herein I can show one that the Holy Spirit is our teacher. In fact there are sealed up things that men can not see until it is time to be revealed. When those things that are already written are unsealed and opened up, they are nonetheless revelations. The problem today however is that everyone thinks they have something to say about it all, when what they have learned is mostly from head knowledge and from words and views they acquire, if not borrowed, from other men, and so were not given to them of God. Hence they will not listen to anyone who has actually received instructions and words from God. Do not waste your time on serpents and scorpions just walk on over them and tread them down along the way.

“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” Daniel 12:9 You see some things were to be sealed up until the time of the end. Notice the statement “till the time of the end.”

Revelation 2:17 " He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it."

To continue on in the successive study of things pertaining to Hidden Manna in the word of God, the next post is The Blessings Of God’s Word.  All of the studies in this series of studies are listed in order in the Main Contents section found in the navigation menu above.
