monarch’s risk of ‘quitting’ predicted by a photographer as monarch grows more ‘feeble’

THE monarch’s probability of abdicating the throne early to hand over to *Someone new* has been discussed by royal photographer Arthur Edwards, who explained that the monarch was “pretty feeble now”.

The monarch has marked her 95th birthday today, making her Britain’s oldest monarch ever. However, with the occasion being marred by the recent death of her husband Prince Philip, concern has turned to whether she might give up the throne earlier than expected. The Sun’s photographer Arthur Edwards joined UK’s ITV GMB to discuss the chances.

He told viewers: “Lately we’ve not seen her, we’ve not seen her for a year.

“She’s gone completely off the scene beside a couple of TV things and with Captain Tom.

“But there have been no engagements with her whatsoever.

“But she’s still serving – she’s the oldest monarch England has ever had.”

Mr. Edwards also stated: “But the body sometimes can’t deliver, and she’s pretty feeble now.”

In 2019, a royal insider claimed that the monarch would give serious thought to handing over the throne to *someone new* very, very soon.

According to royal correspondent Robert Jobson, they said: “Her Majesty is mindful of her age.”

They continued: “She wants to make sure when the time comes, the transition of the Crown is seamless.

“I understand the monarch has given the matter considerable thought”

There have been no suggestions or confirmations of this now.

There have also been no celebrations or commemorations of any kind for the monarch’s birthday.

It is the first one the monarch will spend as a widow after burying her husband on April 17.

There will be no gun salutes or official photographs.

But members of the Family will visit the monarch later today.
