Democrats are the Real Science Deniers

I’m sure you’ve heard that anyone who doesn’t believe that humans are the main culprits of global warming/climate change are science deniers.  The word “denier” was chosen carefully. Anyone with any knowledge whatsoever of history will recall the term Holocaust denier. It is a term for individuals who claim that the Holocaust–the extermination of six million Jews by the Nazis during World War II–never actually happened.  That’s right. These deniers claim that the Holocaust was a hoax perpetrated to enable the Jews to claim an area in the Middle East as the New Zion (Israel). This disregards photographic evidence of the events surrounding the Holocaust as well as eye witness accounts.

The left, most of whom are radical environmentalists, wants people to associate “climate deniers” with Holocaust deniers.  In other words, being a climate denier is akin to denying the Holocaust. Nothing could be more absurd.

Science, by its very nature, demands fact-based evidence.  It requires a hypothesis, followed by experiments and testing. In fact, if you look up the definition of science in the dictionary, here’s what you will see:  systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.  Unfortunately, what these climate scientists use today to claim the earth is getting warmer and is a direct result of human behavior is not observation and experimentation, rather they use climate models.  Another way of saying that is these “scientists” input information like the interactions between the atmosphere, oceans, land surface, ice, and the sun and then estimate trends per thirty years segments. Unfortunately, scientists are human and subject to their own prejudices.  Check out the following video regarding the fudging of information inputted into one such model.

Perhaps the earth is getting warmer, but perhaps not.  When I was a sophomore in college (1977) scientists claimed the globe was getting cooler and we were in for a new ice age.  I implore you to check out this article about global cooling or the new ice age. Note the same alarmism about pollution and the combustible engine causing the cooling.  Please skim down to the bottom of the page and note all the articles written during the 70s in which scientists were certain the earth was cooling and it was man’s fault.

Back to science.  If science is based on proving a hypothesis through experimentation and observation, why do climate alarmists point to the consensus of scientists on this theory.  Last time I looked consensus is not science. In fact, long ago consensus said the earth was flat. As we know all those people were wrong. And, a consensus of astronomers at the time said Galileo was wrong when he said the planets revolved around the sun.  In fact, his belief was investigated by the Roman Inquisition in 1615 and found to be foolish. Well, we now recognize that the planets in our solar system orbit the sun. Consensus should have no place in science.

A word about the inquisition.  Currently, those who believe in man-made global warming are so zealous they resemble fanatics during the inquisition.  Climate change is a type of religion to many, and if you dare to disagree, you will meet their snarling contempt and as previously stated will be called a denier.

If you want to know what global warming and climate change is all about, look no farther than the almighty dollar.  Scientists receive money in the form of grants to do their research. Governments give them these grants. Many western countries and individuals are profiting from the fear of global warming via carbon offsets and the production of solar panels, windmills, and electric cars. Should this global warming hoax fall apart, imagine the enormous number of individuals who will become unemployed.  It could catastrophically affect the economy of many countries. Now, let’s look at another area in which the left denies science.  That area is life itself. The left, always dealing in emotions rather than rational facts, has adamantly refused to recognize that a fetus is a human being.  Regardless of the fact that scientists have concluded that a fetus at eight weeks has pain receptors throughout its body, and that through ultrasound one can see two arms, two legs, and fingers and toes, abortion proponents call this just a mass of tissue, not a baby.  I suppose this makes it easier for some women to live with themselves after they have decided to kill the life within them. But, telling oneself lies is not science.

Interestingly, I recall the headlines in 1977 when scientists in Britain first attempted to fertilize a human egg with sperm in a lab.  The headline read: Scientists Create Life in a Test Tube. The end result, of course, was Louise Brown, the first test tube baby. So, a sperm fertilizing an egg in a test tube is considered the creation of life.  But, when done naturally and growing into a human in a woman’s womb it’s just a mass of cells.

It is also fascinating to note that nearly all Planned Parenthood locations refuse to use ultrasound to show women what is growing in them when they come in seeking an abortion.  Perhaps if they watched it, they would recognize the life within them and rethink their choice. In 2014, there were 840,669 abortions in the US. Since 1973 when abortion became legal, there have been 58,586,256 babies aborted.  Perhaps among those aborted was a future scientist who would have found a cure for cancer. Just saying.

Yet another area where leftists deny science is in the area of gender.  I’ll make this really simple in case a democrat is reading this. If you were born with a vagina, you are a woman.  If you were born with a penis, you are a man. But, in our current culture, leftists believe that you are what you think you are.  Okay, fine.  I say live and let live.  However, do not make me part of your delusion. The reason this insanity exists is because corporations fear the power of the left and its use of boycotts.  That’s probably why Facebook recognizes 71 genders and Tumblr recognizes 35. Of course it could also be because those organizations are run by leftists. But, back to gender.  Scientifically speaking a man has an X and Y chromosome, and a woman has two X chromosomes. That’s science folks, but not to the science deniers on the left. Oh, and by the way, they are aided by the likes of an engineer who calls himself Jim Nye the Science Guy.  Check out his videos below. None of what he discusses is science.

Okay, let’s recap.  Science is not consensus.  It should welcome debate for it is only through testing that hypotheses can be proven.  Science is not propaganda. It is not a religion or cult. Science should not be based on economic interests or left wing ideological beliefs.  And, it should not be influenced by delusional thinking or fear. Science is not lies one tells oneself.  And, it most definitely does not fudge the evidence to prove one’s hypothesis.  Science in its purest form is systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.   So, the next time someone calls you a science denier because you don’t believe that man causes climate change, flip it right back at them.
