FBI Arrest Militia Leader for Helping Detain Invaders

New Mexico- A local Militia leader was arrested by the FBI on Saturday. Larry Mitchell Hopkins, 69, was arrested in the border community of Sunland Park. The attorney general said- Hopkins “is a dangerous felon who should not have weapons around children and families. Today’s arrest by the FBI indicates clearly that the rule of law should be in the hands of trained law enforcement officials, not armed vigilantes,” Attorney General Hector Balderas said. I could not find any records on Hopkins to confirm the attorney generals statement. ( Little information has been released on Hopkins’ background. The FBI said he is from Flora Vista, a rural community in northern New Mexico and approximately 353 miles north of Sunland Park, which is a suburb of El Paso, Texas. The Times and other media outlets have named Hopkins as the group’s leader. ) – Fox news.
The Group United Constitutional Patriots has been patrolling the Southern boarder and detaining invaders that cross from Mexico into the U.S illegally and assisting the overwhelmed boarder patrol and ICE. One video that the UCP has posted shows them detaining nearly 200 invaders at once, and waiting for border patrol to arrive.
Sounds to me the American people are getting tired of invaders just walking across the boarder, It seems highly unlikely a patriot group would have a “dangerous felon” as its leader. These groups tend to heavily vet their own. Secondly, seems like this is just a big perp walk to make Patriotic Americans out to be “radicals” for protecting their own country. No one has been hurt or injured during the detainment’s by the UCP.
