Looks like Sony Exec is right about the future of streaming going into windowing because king Stevian and his ministry has been working on just that….WINDOWING.

it is just like Sony Exec says the thing that movie companies do by giving exclusive snippets or interesting clips of an upcoming movie. king Stevian the CitySide Records CEO/Founder took to a Billboard Magazine online comment section to say the below………
“Has been speaking of this issue for a while now/ He’s speaking of doing what music was intended to do …make sales. Radio’s job was to give a snippet of part of the song, let the d.j. speak over the beginning and end of it so they can’t hear the full song but enough to make them go buy the single album. This is the model many of us indies are going into but we all have our own algorithm for it to work. But streaming like Adele and Kanye West has to be lessened or exclusive to one streaming site to increase demand then the supply will be high resulting into Adele’s 8 million in sales. Us labels control the industry let’s stop trying to be in bed with these streaming companies who are simply ad companies using the music industry like prostitutes. It’s about innovation so away with the old and in with the new way to draw in demand but similar to old radio which helped keep sales high”.
With knowing this we n ow see why the CEO is starting to push for the 30,000 Spotify Radio Playlist which includes his label’s music catalog. king Stevian did tell sources that his ministry and label were planning on running 100 online radio stations which only did Windowing. But last month the company (Live 365) was shut down due to pressure from the new increased royalty rates online radio stations had become responsible for due to new laws passed. But king Stevian stated that Universal Music / UMG had recently bought 65 to 85% of an online radio company which owns tens of thousands of online radio stations and are to partner with in order to allow that vision to manifest. The king also stated that knowing they are not alone in windowing and that a major label is seeing the same let’s him know great minds think alike and this greatness will help grow their ministry and spread the word of God in Jesus name to numerous nations further than ever before.
