CNN: U.S. Stepping Up Role Of Advising Syria Terrorists

CNN reports the US is stepping up its state sponsored terrorism in Syria to help the terrorists rebels achieve their goals more quickly.

In another well written propaganda piece CNN once again fulfills its role as the official government stenographer reporting that the United States is stepping up its role of advising the rebel terrorists in Syria without a single hint of objectivity.

Since the media now admits, as reported by the NY Times, government censors must approve stories published by virtually every major news outlet it should be no surprise CNN fails to point out the United States hypocrisy in backing these terrorists in Syria.

Just imagine if the situation was reversed and this happened to be Iran stepping up their contacts and  ‘Advisory Role’ of rebels conducting bombings and assassinations against an ally of the United States.

Imagine the headlines about ‘Iran’s State Sponsored Terrorism’ which of course would be followed by headlines about bombs being dropped on Tehran for sponsoring such terrorism.

Welcome to Orwell’s nightmare.

CNN Reports:

U.S. increasing contacts with Syrian rebels

The United States has increased contacts with Syrian opposition officials in recent week, a senior U.S. official said Friday.

The official explained that “the U.S. and others are playing more of an advisory role to the opposition now.” Underpinning those increased contacts with the opposition is the effort to begin to plan for the post-Assad regime.

[...]U.S. officials clearly are talking to those who have spoken to defectors and have spoken directly with opposition leaders, but don’t want to offer a lot of detail. The official would say only that “we are sharing perspectives.” Part of this, he said, involves talking about the dynamics of the situation and the potential “end game” and, he adds, “talking about how the opposition might be able to achieve their goal more quickly.”

That includes vetting opposition forces and looking at how various groups might be able to “coalesce after Assad goes.”

The official says it’s not clear yet if U.S. policy would be to maintain the current Syrian military and government structure, to a large extent to try to avoid what happened in Iraq. And as he says, the United States might not have a voice in that anyway.
