Cop Asks Man For License, Shoots Him When He Goes to Get It (Disturbing Video)

(N.Morgan) As the Police State grows in power and aggressiveness, we are faced with the challenge to survive an encounter with law enforcement. This new world of police violence and murder is now a rampant issue, which none of the authorities seem to want to deal with. This time, a 31 year old in South Carolina was stopped for a seat belt violation and ends up with police unloading on him, as he complies. So you can see, even compliance won’t save you from this hostile treatment.

Here’s the scoop: After pulling a man over for an alleged “seat belt violation,” 31-year-old South Carolina police officer Sean Groubert asked 35-year-old Levar Jones to get his license, then immediately unloaded on him when he reached into his car to grab it. Goubert then proceeded to harangue his victim, ordering him to “put his hand behind his back” as Jones asks Groubert why in the world he just shot him and begs for an explanation. Groubert explains he shot him because he “dove head first into his car,” “then you dove back out–I’m telling you to get out of your car.”

Of course, the time between Groupert telling him to “get out of the car” and Groupert’s shooting spree was at most one single second. WLTX reports Groubert has been charged with “assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.” He faces a possible 20 years in prison, though he insists he’s committed no crime. Despite multiple shots fired, Jones was only hit with a single bullet to his hip and is recovering after being hospitalized, he’s fortunate his shooter was a member of “the gang that couldn’t shoot straight.”

Sick. How do we, the public, keep people like that from being hired by police agencies? I expect the only way will be to make it too expensive for those agencies. Since the criminal court system totally fails at holding such people accountable, it will have to come through civil court action. That means lots of big$ civil suits against the police agencies that hire them.

I agree with you 100%, the only problem is our taxes pay their salary, retirement and sadly any lawsuit the police department has to pay out. At minimum, they should be banned from any position that involves carrying a firearm.

“… our taxes pay their salary, retirement and sadly any lawsuit the police department has to pay out.”

EXACTLY. At some point the city councilmen and/or county supervisors that oversee police agencies will come under fire from the taxpayers=voters. Inept elected officials who rack up multi-million-dollar judgments that the taxpayers have to bear will feel the heat at re-election time.
