Human hoofprints la la la

We were heading into town this morning to fork over five bucks to the Korean for my Saturday Globe and Mail when we stopped off at our favourite beach to let the hounds have a romp.

Who did we run into but that couple we used to run into last year who we surmised were living in their car. From the appearance of things I’m guessing they still live in their car. Living in your car is becoming more and more of a happening thing. I think the more apt description is living out of your car.

The car is a home base of sorts. You keep your important shit it there. Like your passport and your birth certificate and stuff. Anyway, Buddy and the bride were a little reticent about returning my salutations, and I can’t blame them. They are probably sick and tired of being judged…

Oh look, homeless people living in their car!

They’re lazy.

They’re drug addicts.

They’re mentally challenged.

Believe it or not, it wasn’t till I read one of Temple Grandin’s books that I realized I too was on the “spectrum.” Suddenly all kinds of shit made sense…

It’s been a big week for us here at Falling Downs. Junior started his hormone treatments and has some surgery scheduled. We just want him to be happy, so it looks like things are heading in the right direction.

We got to the Korean and paid that extortionate rate for our newspaper fix. Here’s what we found out:

Apparently the Trump foreign policy is going to throw the world into disarray, because every other story is about HORRIFICTERRIBLEGODAWFULL situations that can only be resolved by having the American taxpayer, and hopefully the taxpayers of all the other NATO (Nations of Virtue) pay lots more for bombs and fighter jets and all that cool shit, because otherwise Putin or that daft twat in N Korea or maybe ISIS are gonna take over the world!

So whatever you do, don’t vote for Trump, because even though the sly bastard promises to “make America great again,” what he’s really about is shuttering US military bases all over the world and creating an America that mind’s its own business instead of being the world’s policeman.

In other words, we’d have a government focused on building housing instead of bombs.

Holy shit; that would totally destroy the US economy…
