July 20: It’s Been 19 Years Since Mankind’s Worst-Known Genocide, Which Still Continues Today
If you think this doesn’t concern you—just have a look at what’s at stake for the whole world, not just China!
Exactly 19 years ago, 100 million Chinese Falun Dafa meditators were suddenly deemed “enemies of the State” on July 20, 1999, all because they numbered too many. Up against the Chinese Communist Party, which initiated a vicious persecution involving forced organ harvesting—which continues to this day—countless innocent men, women, and children have since been stripped of their physical bodies. Perhaps this is what Nostradamus alluded to when he stated in his book of prophecies—“In the year 1999, seventh month, from the sky will come a great King of Terror.”
What is Falun Dafa?
First introduced to the public in 1992, Falun Dafa (aka Falun Gong) and its gentle, slow-moving exercises, as well as its peaceful spiritual component, grew in rapid popularity after the Chinese public learned of its profoundly positive effect on one’s mind and body.
As Falun Gong is neither a religion nor an organization, and without any form of membership, the exact number of practitioners nationwide was unascertainable, though State reports estimate the number to be some 100 million adherents by 1999.
Why the persecution?
A question on many people’s minds might be—Why would 100 million peaceful meditators, who would exercise together in parks across China for an hour or two each morning before heading off to work or school, be feared by an armed regime?
According to Minghui, a clearinghouse that receives firsthand accounts of the persecution from China:
“The complex rationale behind the persecution can be broken into four elements: a paranoid dictator’s fear of Falun Gong’s meteoric growth and soaring popularity; that same dictator’s intense jealousy of Falun Dafa’s popularity; the inherent conflict between the communist regime’s savage political ideology and its polar opposite—Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance; and the very nature of communism, which to sustain itself requires periodically labeling a small segment of the population as the ‘class enemy’ to ‘struggle’ against.”
Some governments have stood up to China; others stay silent in the face of mass murder
Although almost two decades of persecution have continued relentlessly, the Chinese regime’s crimes against humanity are coming to light more and more, leading to greater resistance from the international community.
It’s unfathomable to consider that whilst undeniable evidence of forced organ harvesting in the form of a 680-page report by independent researchers, former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) David Kilgour, and Canadian human rights attorney David Matas, have allowed the U.S. House of Representatives, the European Parliament, Israel, and Taiwan (to name a few), to clearly position themselves on this critical issue … others remain deafly silent.
Falun Gong practitioners, who don’t smoke nor drink (healthy organs), and who are being illegally detained in large numbers in China, are routinely blood tested in jails, and kept as an organ pool.
What started off as merely allegations by eyewitnesses such as doctors, nurses, and security personal has led to extensive investigations and confirmation that living, breathing people are being cut up, their organs extracted, and sold at exorbitant prices to fuel China’s lucrative transplant trade.

U.S. Congressman (R-CA) Dana Rohrabacher, who co-sponsored U.S. House Resolution 343, a bill demanding an end to the persecution and harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, said, “To rip open the body of someone who is simply involved in a religious or personal or political idea that is a contrary to the wishes of the ruling elite, and not a physical threat to the regime, this is about the most monstrous crime that I can conceive of.”
July 20 is a day of mourning for the ongoing mass-murder of innocents
You may have seen Falun Gong practitioners exposing the Chinese dictatorship’s brutalities in your city. It’s not only on July 20 of each year that they hold candlelight vigils to mourn the loss of their fellow practitioners in China, but day after day, year in and year out—in the scorching heat of summer and the freezing cold of winter—these resilient people continue to gather signatures for petitions to stop the persecution, and to tell the world’s people about the worst form of evil that’s ever existed.
