I spent about 50 minutes at the Hospital as the traffic was bumper to bumper both ways through flames. Seeing the Hospital staff in action during this catastrophe I learned that medically isn’t the only way they are capable of saving lives. In that firestorm with hot embers flying around like small misiles It took nerves of steel and incredible courage to stay and evacuate all the patients knowing it could cost them their lives. Be proud Paradise these folks are real heroes. Of that i have no doubts…

What is amazing is that people were going every which way, as they didn’t have good information. Then again, with the fire front moving so fast, what could they do? I am still really surprised that the death toll is sitting at 56 as I write. With so many people that were there, frankly I think it borders on a miracle that so many people actually made it out. The shock is now just starting to set in for many; it’s going to be hard-going for a long time. Please stay safe, and I hope you are able to recover from this disaster.
So far, yours is the best coverage of this fire. I admire you for trying to help at the hospital and offering others a ride. You will be in my prayers.
Omg my heart is racing just watching this! I live in Canada and we had bad fires too this past summer. We we’re at our cabin we have on a lake and we’re evacuated at 1:00 am. It was so scary so I get what you went through! So sorry you lost your house! Stay safe & be strong! ❤

My heart aches for everyone involved with this horrible fire. I personally know a handful of people who lost everything in a matter or hours. I’m so glad you made it out with your life, sounds like many weren’t as fortunate. Much love to Paradise!

Thank you for this video. Im in Hollister near San Jose. Some of the things you mentioned i never even thought of such as really not knowing the safest way to get out of town and he fact people need to get their kids from school simple thought you dont think of before.

Wow, thank you. I’m SO sorry. Praise God YOU made it. My brother lived on Pentz 1/2 mile past the Mexican restaurant from Pearson, & evacced same time u did. was that last footage on Pentz right by there? (they made it out). i had thought they left before the flames came at that time of day, but NO! Many tears for EVERYONE.
My mother lost her home aswell. So my thoughts are with you and many others. I live in Illinois, thank you for sharing

When a fire reaches the local hospital..it is truly a conflagration out of control because everyone goes to their utmost to protect a hospital and the most vulnerable. Unbelievable. And your F bombs are excused . Just glad you got out and so sad for those who didn’t…bless your community.
