Congressman Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) made some breathtaking allegations against the State Department and some sitting U.S. ambassadors while in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday night.
Meadows stated that some soon-to-be-released documents will demonstrate that some former and current U.S. ambassadors conspired with the Department of Justice to undermine the presidency of Donald Trump.
The congressman mentioned that not only did President Trump not collude with Russian actors, but several “players” throughout the government were deeply attempting to “take this president down.”

“It’s additional information that is coming out that will show not only was there no collusion, but there was a coordinated effort to take this president down. We talk about the ‘Deep State.’ There are players now, even ambassadors, that are sitting ambassadors that were involved in part of this with the FBI-DOJ.”
Meadows further discussed that he is working to declassify as many records as is possible to present Americans about this “coordinated effort” to delegitimize President Trump.
“I think when the American people see what I’ve seen, they will judge for themselves and know that this has all been a hoax,” explained Meadows.
As IJR has earlier noted, Ranking House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) unveiled several transcripts from interviews with ex – FBI employees Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.
The Strzok transcripts exposed allegations that the Department of Justice struck a bargain with Hillary Clinton’s attorneys to avert the FBI from investigating some of her private servers as they relate to the Clinton Foundation – a non-profit ran by the Clintons that countless believe perhaps have been part of a pay-for-play operation.
The Page transcripts unveiled that members of the Obama administration exhorted the Department of Justice not to charge Clinton for her usage of the private email server ahead of the 2016 elections. James Comey, the FBI director at the time, refused to charge Clinton and maintained her actions were “grossly negligent,” but not criminal.
If the allegations by Page and Strzok are factual, it would make it appear as though the DOJ was delighted to work with techniques that would benefit Clinton and undermine Trump. It certainly is not yet apparent how incriminating Meadows’ pending documents will be as far as his allegations that there was a “coordinated effort” between ambassadors and the State Department to weaken the Trump presidency.
