Trump Derangement Syndrome Personified by Jon Gabriel

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

As an occasional guest stand-in for conservative talk show host Seth Leibsohn on KKNT, 960 AM, Jon Gabriel is a thinly guised pretender. This article, with the hard copy title of, “Why Trump may be our new normal,” effectively exposes his subterfuge.

In his “guest column,” in the Daily Insult, the dying local newspaper, Gabriel effortlessly employs the word, “progressive,* the left’s preferred description of itself, to cover its radical lurch.

After slathering Obama’s VP and political has-been Joe Biden with a golden glow, Gabriel, with his lack of conservative credentials and political savvy on full display, writes, “Even Republicans are considering supporting the former vice president.” He continues, “in comparison to President Trump, (whom he viciously demeans) Biden’s gaffes seem downright cultured.”

Though the support statement is doubtful, they could be Republicrats, who like the coreless Gabriel, switched party affiliation to a concealing PND (Party Not Designated) label.

His bold type lead-in to the embarrassing commentary is:

“Treating our current president as an anomaly is misguided. Look around the globe: He’s an emblem of a new, hostile world order.”

Gabriel then lists other nations that he feels are straying, specifically citing the desire of Brits to be free of the European Union, and opting for Brexit, which returns their national autonomy. He derogatorily refers to such ideals as “Trump style populism.”

Leibsohn’s radio show is rich with political wisdom and interviews featuring prominent conservatives. But if Gabriel is the best he can do when he needs to be away, many of us will not just turn the dial on those days, we‘ll permanently take a hike to nearby 550 AM KFYI to hear Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and local host James T. Harris.

Conservatism requires consistency. We can be insulted by CNN or MSNBC, which is why we don’t watch them or listen to NPR.
