CNN’s Latest Epic Fake News Feature on Julian Assange

CNN stands out as the most untrustworthy name in airing utter rubbish masquerading as television news — featuring a daily drumbeat of managed news misinformation, disinformation, and Big Lies.

Though time and again it’s hard distinguishing between its deplorable programming and what’s featured on other cable channels and broadcast ones, including abroad in other Western nations and Israel.

The UK owned and operated BBC resembles Fox News with a British accent, state-supported propaganda its specialty.

On Monday, CNN featured fake news about Julian Assange, held by Britain behind bars under deplorable conditions for extradition to the US (unless judicially overruled) for the “high crime” of truth-telling journalism major Western media long ago abandoned.

CNN turned truth on its head, falsely claiming Assange used the Ecuadorian embassy a “command post” in working with “Russians and world-class hackers,” along with Kremlin intelligence officials to aid Trump triumph over Hillary.

CNN is a lying machine. So-called “documents” it claimed to obtain “exclusively” are fake. A “series of suspicious meetings at the Ecuadorian embassy in London” to sabotage Hillary’s campaign never occurred.

WikiLeaks is a publisher, Assange a journalist. No Russian US presidential election hacking or other meddling occurred. No evidence suggests it. 

Information was leaked by a Dem insider. WikiLeaks published it, the way good investigative journalism is supposed to work, nothing illegal or improper about it. Claims otherwise were and remain bald-faced Big Lies, CNN one of the proliferators.

The Russiagate hoax was cooked up by Obama’s CIA director John Brennan. He’s now a so-called national security analyst — paid to lie on air by NBC and MSNBC.

So-called “documents” CNN claims to have were not published. Do they exist? Does it matter? Forgery is common practice by Western intelligence agencies and operatives paid to serve them.

CNN claims to have “surveillance reports compiled for the Ecuadorian government by UC Global, a private Spanish security company…chronicl(ing) Assange’s movements,” adding:

They…add a new dimension to the Mueller report, which cataloged how WikiLeaks helped the Russians undermine the US election.”

Mueller and the US intelligence community made phony claims about Russian US election meddling while presenting no evidence proving them. Accusations without it are baseless.

CNN claiming there’s “ ‘no doubt that there is evidence’ of Assange’s ties to Russian intelligence” is a bald-faced Big Lie.

If evidence proving it existed, it would have been revealed long ago. The same goes for Mueller and US intelligence community accusations. What doesn’t exist can’t be revealed.

Assange is an investigative journalist/whistleblower, publishing material supplied by sources believed to be credible, unidentified for their protection. 

WikiLeaks is not an intelligence operation. Nor it it connected to Russia or any other country. Claims otherwise are fabricated.

Assange earlier explained that WikiLeaks has the right “to publish newsworthy content. Consistent with the US Constitution, we publish material that we can confirm to be true,” he explained. 

That’s what investigative journalism the way it should be is all about, revealing important information everyone has a right to know about how their governments operate, especially about their high crimes of war and against humanity — a US, NATO, Israeli specialty.

Whistleblowing and other truth-telling about government wrongdoing are essential public services, warranting high praise, not prosecution and vilification.

Congress repeatedly affirmed the right of civil servants to report what they believe are abuses of power, government corruption, rule of law violations, dangers to public health and safety, as well as other wrongdoing.

Speech, media/journalism, and academic freedoms have First Amendment protection in the US. Without them all other rights are threatened.

Truth-telling in the West is greatly endangered. When ruling regimes consider it a threat to national security, totalitarian rule replaces freedom.

When media like CNN serve powerful interests at the expense of truth-telling, the rule of law, and public welfare, their public trust is lost, never to be regained.

Establishment media in the US and West lie, deceive, and otherwise betray their followers. They’re cesspools of misinformation, disinformation, and fake news — their specialty.

It’s why genuinely trustworthy, largely online, independent sources of news, information, and analysis alone should be relied on to get and stay informed.

A Final Comment

RT slammed CNN’s fake news as follows, saying:

Its so-called “exclusive” report features “innuendo & lies,” adding:

“Citing a report compiled by a private Spanish security company – but not providing any of it – the network basically re-hashed the entirety of the Russiagate conspiracy on Monday (including) an easily and repeatedly disproven lie about RT” — no evidence supporting the fabricated claims because none exists. 

“…CNN’s sensationally titled ‘scoop’ openly admits the Spanish papers merely ‘build on the possibility’ raised by Mueller’s report about how WikiLeaks received the emails.” 

“Safe words for ‘unprovable speculation’ begin a few lines below the headline, and keep multiplying from there on.”

The Russiagate narrative is a colossal hoax, new life breathed into it by fake news reports like CNN’s.
