War Drums: Europe Readies A Naval Task Force As Iran Threatens To “Secure” The Strait Of Hormuz

It is funny – for decades we have never had any problems with commercial ships passing through the Persian Gulf, but all of a sudden it has become a major flashpoint. As you will see below, the Iranians are now warning that they plan to “secure” the Strait of Hormuz, and meanwhile a plan for a European-led naval task force to confront the Iranians is rapidly coming together. The seizure of a British tanker a few days ago really rattled British officials, and they are determined to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. Of course the more the Persian Gulf region becomes saturated with military assets, the more likely it is that a “mistake” will happen, and it sure won’t take much of a spark to start World War 3 at this point.
Today, close to 20 percent of all the oil produced in the entire world passes through the Strait of Hormuz, and that makes it an exceedingly important waterway. U.S. and European officials continue to stress the importance of freedom of navigation through the area, and they appear to be losing patience with the Iranians.
But Iran does not intend to back down one bit. On Tuesday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that his country “will use its best efforts” to secure the Strait of Hormuz. The following comes from the Jerusalem Post…
“Iran will use its best efforts to secure the region, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, and will not allow any disturbance in shipping in this sensitive area,” Araqchi told French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, IRNA reported.
So what does that mean exactly?
Do the Iranians plan to keep grabbing oil tankers whenever it suits them?
The seizure of the Stena Impero pushed us dangerously close to war, and the British government is still hoping that negotiations will result in the release of that tanker.
However, the British also plan to flex their military muscles in order to keep such an incident from happening again, and they are calling for other European nations to join them…
France, Italy and Denmark gave initial support for a British plan for a European-led naval mission to ensure safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, proposed after Iran’s seizure of a British-flagged tanker, three senior EU diplomats said on Tuesday.
The cautious backing at a meeting of EU envoys in Brussels contrasts sharply with the lukewarm response shown by European allies to a similar American call first voiced at NATO in late June, when countries feared they could make U.S.-Iranian tensions worse.
Could this be the very beginning of a “coalition of the willing”?
According to Reuters, this task force would likely include “aircraft too”, and that is definitely raising some eyebrows…
British foreign ministry and defense officials have also discussed a possible mission, which would likely involve not just ships but aircraft too, directly with their Italian, Spanish, French and German counterparts.
A senior German diplomat in Berlin said Foreign Minister Heiko Maas was in close contact with his British and French counterparts, Hunt and Jean-Yves Le Drian, to “contribute to the security” of the Gulf including on maritime security.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military is making headlines as well. In an interview with CBS News, CENTCOM Commander General Kenneth McKenzie claimed that U.S. forces may have actually shot down at least two Iranian drones last week…
The U.S. believes it may have brought down two Iranian drones last week, rather than just the one that has been reported, CENTCOM Commander Gen. Kenneth McKenzie told CBS News’ David Martin in an interview Tuesday aboard the USS Boxer, the ship that took action against the drones. Asked by Martin whether it was “only one drone,” McKenzie revealed that he believed the Boxer had engaged two drones “successfully” and perhaps even more.
“As always it was a complex tactical picture, we believe two drones. We believe two drones were successfully — there may have been more that we are not aware of — those are the two that we engaged successfully,” said McKenzie.
We should be very thankful that there is no more shooting for the moment, but that could change at any time.
And even if things stabilize in the short-term, the truth is that it is going to be exceedingly difficult to stop the countdown to war at this point. The U.S. and Israel have both made it exceedingly clear that they will never allow the Iranians to develop their nuclear program past a certain level, and the Iranians have been racing to move their program forward ever since the U.S. left Obama’s nuclear agreement.
Unless there is some sort of crazy miracle and another nuclear agreement happens, it appears that war is on the horizon.
Also, I wanted to mention that we just witnessed a very alarming “incident” off the coast of South Korea on Tuesday…
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff issued a statement claiming they had fired more than 300 warning shots at a Russian A-50 command and control military aircraft early Tuesday morning after it had twice violated the country’s airspace, the first such incident between the countries.
Moscow furiously denied Seoul’s account of the encounter, claiming that South Korean military jets had dangerously intercepted two of its bombers during a planned flight over neutral waters.
That is a huge number of “warning shots”, and it is yet another example of how tense things are all over the world at this point.
Without a doubt, we are living during a time of “wars and rumors of wars”, and once World War 3 begins we will not be able to stop it.
So let us pray for peace, because the alternative is too horrible to even think about right now.

IRANian FM REJECTS CLAIMS of IRGC’s Attempt to Seize British Oil Tanker

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian FOREIGN MINISTER Mohammad Javad Zarif DISMISSED the western officials’ “WORTHLESS” CLAIMS THAT the ISLAMIC Revolution GUARDS Corps (IRGC) NAVY ATTEMPTED TO SEIZE A BRITISH OIL TANKER IN the PERSIAN GULF.
Speaking to reporters in Tehran on Thursday, Zarif said that the CLAIMS WERE AIMED AT CREATING TENSIONS.
He also said the BRITISH GOVERNMENT’$ CLAIM is “WORTHLESS”, adding that such CLAIMS ARE NOTHING NEW.
Zarif also pointed to the IRGC statement which dismissed the claim, saying that “THEY ARE SEEKING TO COVER UP THEIR WEAKNESSES with such claims”.
The IRGC NAVY deployed in the Persian Gulf REJECTED PENTAGON’S CLAIMS that its forces attempted to seize a British oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC naval forces responsible for controlling the Fifth Naval Zone in the Persian Gulf rejected the western media claims citing the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) that five Iranian fast boats attempted to capture a British oil tanker in the Persian Gulf but they failed as the British Royal Navy frigate (HMS Montrose) interfered.
“NAVAL PATROLS of the Guards Corps in the PERSIAN GULF continue vigilantly, precisely and strongly based on regular procedures and missions, and
DURING the LAST 24 HOURS, THERE HAVE BEEN NO ENCOUNTERS WITH FOREIGN VESSELS, INCLUDING the BRITISH ONES.” 
a statement by the IRGC Fifth Zone said on Thursday.
“If an order to seize foreign vessels is received, the IRGC naval forces controlling the Fifth Naval Zone in the Persian Gulf are able to carry out their mission in its geographical zone immediately, firmly and rapidly,” it added.

Zarif (IRANian Foreign Minister) Urges UK to Stop Helping US Economic Terrorism against Iran

“UK must cease being an ACCESSORY TO Economic Terrorism of the US,” Iran’s top diplomat underlined, referring to Spanish officials’ remarks who said that London detained Tehran’s tanker upon a call by the White House.
The IRGC announced in a statement issued on Friday evening that its naval forces had seized BRITISH TANKER ship, ‘Stena Impero’, for VIOLATING MARITIME RULES and REGULATIONS IN the PERSIAN GULF.
“UK tanker ship, Stena Impero, has been detained by the vessels unit of the IRGC Navy’s First Naval Zone at the request of the Ports and Maritime Organization’s office of Hormuzgan province for disregarding international maritime rules and regulations as it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz this afternoon,” the statement by the IRGCN public relations said.
The statement said the ship had been escorted to the Iranian coastal waters in Hormuzgan province and its control had been transferred to the Ports and Maritime Organization for further legal procedures and investigations.
A statement by Stena Impero shipping firm said there were 23 crew onboard the UK ship, adding that there had been no report on any harm or injury to the crew members since the vessel came under detention by the Iranian forces.
Media reports said the tanker was heading to Saudi Arabia’s port of Al-Jobail from the UAE port of Fujairah when it was detained by the IRGC.
Director-General of the Ports and Maritime Organization’s office in Hurmuzgan province said he filed a request for the seizure of the British tanker by the IRGCN after reports on its risky moves that made the vessel prone to accident.
Meantime, sources told FNA that the BRITISH SHIP HAD SWITCHED OFF ITS TRACKING SYSTEMS IN VIOLATION OF MARITIME RULES and regulations and was making an entry from the exit point of the Strait of Hormuz in the South, DISREGARDING the ESTABLISHED PROCEDURES that require all entries be made through the Northern pass.
Earlier on Saturday, Director General of the Ports and Maritime Organization’s office of Hormuzgan province Allah Morad Afifipour said that the British oil tanker, ‘Stena Impero’, which was seized by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in the Persian Gulf was seized because IT IGNORED CALLS FROM a FISHING BOAT AFTER an ACCIDENT IN the WATERWAY.
“The British oil tanker, Stena Impero, had an accident with a fishing boat on its way and according to the law, the reason and other issues related to the accident should be studied,” Afifipour told FNA.
He added that SAILORS ON the DAMAGED FISHING VESSEL HAD CONTACTED the BRITISH VESSEL, BUT the TANKER HAD IGNORED THEIR CALLS.
“When the BRITISH VESSEL DID NOT RESPOND TO the FISHING VESSEL, they informed Ports and Maritime Organization’s office of Hormuzgan province according to the legal procedures,” Afifipour said, adding that his office had requested the Judiciary and the IRGC to stop the British tanker.
AlLSO, the UK OWNED TANKER, MV Mesdar, operating under Liberian flag WAS STOPPED BY IRAN’S NAVAL PATROLS IN the STRAIT OF HOMUZ on FRIDAY evening after IT STARTED OIL LEAKS IN the WATERWAY.
The SHIP WAS SENT BACK TO the INTERNATIONAL WATERS TO CONTINUE ITS VOYAGE after a short time and after it was warned to show full respect for environmental regulations and harmless navigation.
Senior military officials also rejected reports by some western media outlets claiming that the Liberian-flagged tanker had been seized, stressing that ‘STENA IMPERO’ was THE ONLY FOREIGN SHIP UNDER IRANIAN CUSTODY.
In early July, British marines and Gibraltar police seized an Iranian tanker off the Southern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. Gibraltar’s Chief Minister Fabian Picardo claimed that the ship was transporting crude oil to Syria “in violation” of the EU sanctions placed on Damascus. Washington has applauded the move, hailing it as a sign that Europe is on board with the US’ unilateral sanctions against Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the “illegal move” of London and described it as “tantamount to piracy”. Tehran accused the UK of doing Washington’s bidding and helping the US attempt to stifle the Islamic Republic’s oil exports, rejecting London’s claim that the supertanker was carrying crude for Syria.
The attorney general announced on Friday that Gibraltar’s supreme court has ruled that the Iranian tanker seized by Britain’s Royal Marines can be detained for 30 more days. The court’s decision came a day after a senior Gibraltar’s official described as “constructive” talks with Iran, raising hopes that the tanker would be released imminently.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) MAJOR GENERAL Hossein SALAMI DISMISSED the US CLAIMS ABOUT SHOOTING DOWN IRANIAN DRONES IN the PERSIAN GULF, CALLING ON the AMERICAN OFFICIALS…TO PROVE THEIR ALLEGATIONS WITH EVIDENCE.
“I officially declare that NO IRANIAN DRONE OR IRGC DRONE HAS BEEN DOWNED,” General Salami told reporters in the Western city of Khorramabad on Wednesday.
He said that IF the AMERICANS CLAIM that they have downed Iranian drones, they should prove it by displaying footage or the wreckages of the plane.
“I strongly assert that IT IS A BIG LIE and WE HAVE PROVED IT TOO. We have proved whatever we have done and ENEMIES SHOULD PROVE THEIR CLAIMS as well,” General Salami said.
He added that THE DRONE THAT the AMERICANS CLAIM TO HAVE DOWNED WAS FLYING OVER the PERSIAN GULF WATERS FOR 3 HOURS and 40 MINUTES FOR PATROLLING MISSIONS
AND SENT FOOTAGE OF the REGIONAL and TRANS-REGIONAL VESSELS TRANSITING THROUGH the PERSIAN GULF. 
In relevant remarks on Wednesday, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami categorically rejected the claim by the US officials about shooting down the country’s drones in the Persian Gulf.
“No drone of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been downed,” General Hatami told reporters after a cabinet meeting in Tehran.
He added that the IRANIAN DRONES WERE CONDUCTING THEIR MISSION ON A REGULAR BASIS.
“We displayed the wreckage of the (US) drone that we had shot down. If anyone claims that he has downed a drone of Iran, he should display it,” General Hatami said.
His remarks came after FOX NEWS QUOTED the US officials as claiming that not one but two Iranian drones were downed by a US warship transiting the Strait of Hormuz last week.

“A fixed wing unmanned aerial system (UAS) approached Boxer and closed within a threatening range. The ship took defensive action against the UAS to ensure the safety of the ship and its crew.”
The top military brass in Tehran rushed to deny the claim. Spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said on Friday that Trump’s statement was absurd and baseless, stressing that the false claim about downing an Iranian Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) was intended to increase tensions in international waterways and disrupting security in the Strait of Hormuz.
“Unlike Trump’s delusional and groundless claim, all drones belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, including the one mentioned by the US president, have returned to their bases safe and sound after carrying out their scheduled surveillance and control operations,” the Armed Forces mouthpiece added.
“The ARMED FORCES OF the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN ALWAYS FEEL DUTY-BOUND TO PROTECT, CONTROL, and SAFEGUARD the SECURITY OF the PERSIAN GULF AND the STRAIT OF HORMUZ WITH FULL VIGILNCE WHILE OBSERVING INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS,” he added.
Hours later on Friday, the IRGC described the US president’s claim as “ridiculous”, and declared that it would release the footage collected by its drone from the US warship to prove the falsity of Washington’s claims.
“WE WILL SOON RELEASE the FOOTAGE RECORDED BY the IRGC AEROSPACEC FORCE DRONE FROM the USS BOXER
TO the PUBLIC OPINION OF the WORLD,” the public relations department of the IRGC announced. 
TO EXPOSE AMERICANS’ BASELESS CLAIMS
“The FOOTAGE WILL SHOW that THE DRONE of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force WAS CONDUCTING ITS ROUTINE MISSION IN the REGION
BEFORE the ARRIVAL OF the AMERICAN VESSEL AT the STRAIT OF HORMUZ,” read the communique, adding that THE DRONE HAS SENT FOOTAGE OF ITS “MONITORING ans SURVEILLING THE AFOREMENTIONED SHIP 
BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER THE TIME THAT AMERICANS CLAIM”. 
The statement added that AFTER RECORDING the FOOTAGE from the US warship, THE DRONE RETURNED TO ITS BASE INTACT.
“The MARINE and AEROSPACE UNITS OF the IRGC
VIGILANTLY and CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR the MOVES BY the FOREIGNERS,

The footage released by the IRGC had been recorded by the drone during a surveillance mission over the Strait of Hormuz over the USS Boxer.

The IRGC issued a statement after releasing the video on Friday evening, saying that THE DRONE HAD BEEN WATCHING the USS BOXER AND
FIVE OTHER US WARSHIPS ACCOMPANYING IT 
FOR THREE HOURS, from the time when they had not made an entry into the Strait of Hormuz to the time when exited the waterway.
“DURING THIS PERIOD, OUR DRONE BASES HAVE NOT OBSERVED and RECORDED ANY UNCONVENTIONAL and THREATENING ACTION BY the US TERRORIST FORCES
ON the STATED WARSHIP,” the IRGC statement reiterated.
“Hence, it is more evident and proved now that the CLAIM RAISED the US officials about the shooting down of an Iranian drone in the Strait of Hormuz WITHOUT ANY (supportive) EVIDENCE HA BEEN baseless and A LIE,” ” it added.
The footage indicates that it has been recorded by the Iran-made drone, Mohajer-4, an unmanned aircraft designed and manufactured for surveillance and reconnaissance missions, with the maximum speed of 200km/phr and flight durability of 7 hours.
The claim by the US president has been refuted by a range of Iranian officials since it was first raised by Donald Trump at a White House event on Thursday. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi said in a tweet, “We have not lost any drone in the Strait of Hormuz nor anywhere else.”

The INCIDENT CAME ALMOST A MONTH AFTER the IRGC SHOT DOWN AN INTRUDING AMERICAN SPY DRONE IN the COUNTRY’S SOUTHERN COASTAL PROVINCE OF HORMUZGAN.
On Tuesday, General Hajizadeh said the shooting down of a US spy drone over Iranian territorial waters by the IRGC shattered the US military awe.
“The OPERATION TO SHOOT DOWN the US DRONE IN IRAN’S SKY WAS SUCCESSFUL IN EVERY ASPECT. The operation shattered the awe of the world arrogant power (US) and displayed the rotten and cracked skeleton of the arrogant powers to everyone,” General Hajizadeh said in the Northeastern city of Mashhad on Tuesday.
He added that the different dimensions of the operation will come in light throughout time.
In relevant remarks on Monday, General Hatami underlined Armed Forces’ full preparedness to give a strong response to enemies, saying that DOWNING OF A US SPY DRONE OVER IRAN’S TERRITORIES PROVED the COUNTRIES HIGH CAPABILITY TO DEFEND ITSELF.
“DOWNING OF THE US advanced and EXPENSIVE GLOBAL HAWK SPY DRONE by Iran’s integrated air defense surprised foreign experts about the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military capability in defending the country’s borders and CONFRONTING the AGGRESSORS,” General Hatami said, addressing the Iranian parliamentarians in Tehran.
He underlined that all stages which led to the destruction of the spy drone, including DETECTION, INTERCEPTION and DESTRUCTION, WERE COMPLETED BY USING INDIGENIZED TECHNOLOGY and MILITARY EQUIPMENT, and said, “The IRANIAN ARMED FORCES ARE FULLY PREPARED TO GIVE A CRUSHING RESPONSE TO ANYthreat and STUPIDITY BY ENEMIES and will make them regret their deeds.”
General Hatami stressed that the Iranian Armed Forces would powerfully continue enhancement of their defense power.
Also, last week, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri warned of his country’s strong and painful response to any enemy offensive.
“Undoubtedly, a hard and crushing response will be waiting for those who intend to harm Iran and its borders’ security,” General Baqeri said during a visit to the country’s Northeastern bordering areas on Wednesday.
He added that the Iranian people, including the Shiites and the Sunnis, along with the country’s Armed Forces would foil any enemy plots against Iran’s sustainable security.
His remarks came after the IRGC Aerospace Force SHOT DOWN AN AMERICAN SPY DRONE OVER the TERRITORIAL WATERS OF IRAN near the Strait of Hormuz at dawn on
JUNE 20.

TRUMP said in a series of TWEET$ that he decided that the death toll was not a proportionate response to the Iranian shooting down of a US spy drone off the Iranian coast.

General Hajizadeh also stressed that Iran was not after war but was fully ready to defend itself, adding that the fate of the downed US spy drone was waiting for any intruding flying object.
“Our response to anything TRESPASSING IRANIAN TERRITORY is like this, and if such acts of aggression are repeated, our response will also be the same,” General Hajizadeh said.
“We don’t embrace war but WE ARE READY TO FULLY DEFEND the COUNTRY,” he said.
“WE POSSESS A COLLECTION OF U$ DRONES which is a PROOF that US has violated Iran’s airspace and shows that THEY DON’T WANT TO RESPECT the INTERNATIONAL LAW,” General Hajizadeh said.

Defense Minister: NO IRANIAN DRONE DOWNED

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister BRIGADIER GENERAL Amir HATAMI CATEGORICALLY REJECTED the CLAIM BY the US OFFICIALS ABOUT SHOOTING DOWN the country’s DRONES IN the PERSIAN GULF.
“NO DRONE OF the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC HAS BEEN DOWNED,” General Hatami told reporters after a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday.
He added that the IRANIAN DRONES ARE CONDUCTING THEIR MISSION ON A REGULAR BASIS.
“WE DISPLAYED the WRECKAGE OF THE (US) DRONE THAT WE HAD SHOT DOWN. IF ANYONE CLAIMS that HE HAS DOWNED A DRONE OF IRAN, HE SHOULD DISPLAY IT,” General Hatami said.
His remarks came after FOX NEWS QUOTED the US officials as claiming that not one but TWO IRANIAN DRONES WERE DOWNED BY A US WAR$HIPTRANSITING the STRAIT OF HORMUZ LAST WEEK.
One official claimed sailors and marines aboard USS Boxer, a large amphibious assault ship, could see one of the drones go down Thursday, adding that the other drone disappeared from radar and was beLIEved DESTROYED.
US President Donald TRUMP had ALSO CLAIMED LAST WEEK that the USS BOXER HAD FIRED ON AN IRANIAN DRONE on THURSDAY, SHOOTING IT DOWN IN the STRAIT OF HORMUZ.
“The BOXER took defensive action against an IRANIAN DRONE, which had closed into a near distance, approximately 1000 yards, ignoring multiple calls to stand down THREATENING SAFETY OF SHIP and SHIP’$ CREW,” he $AID at the WHITE HOU$E.
The US president claimed that Iran’s drone “was immediately destroyed.”
Minutes later the PENTAGON also issued a statement to CONFIRM the REPORT,
BUT DID NOT CLAIM THAT the DRONE WAS IRANIAN.
The PENTAGON CLAIMED the Iranian drone was within a “threatening range” of the US ship.
“At approximately 10 am local time, the amphibious ship USS Boxer was in international waters conducting a planned inbound transit of the Strait of Hormuz,” chief Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in a statement.
“A fixed wing unmanned aerial system (UAS) approached Boxer and closed within a threatening range. The ship took defensive action against the UAS to ensure the safety of the ship and its crew.”

Daily Reminder: Jews Expelled 359 Times – Not 109

There is a harmful meme which persists through the tubes that the Jews have only been expelled from places 109 times.
People like this number because they can say “one-ten and never again,” the suggestion being that this time, the SOLUTION will be FINAL.
However, it was proved way back in 2017 that Jews have been expelled from at least 359 locations.
I assume the number is actually significantly higher, because Jews have always covered-up their crimes and any record of punishment of their crimes whenever possible, so it is difficult to find such records.
However, I repeat: the number is at least 359. Please save and link the below chart in the future, rather than repeating the very wrong “109 times” meme.
