6 Weird Ways to Sneak Makeup into Class

School has a lot of rules that are meant for breaking: passing notes, writing your and your crush’s initials on your desk in a heart, sneaking off campus to get McDonald’s instead of cafeteria food, and, of course, sneaking things into class that you aren’t supposed to have.

For most that means a cheat sheet for a tough math test or a snack for in between second and third period. But if you’re into makeup, then for you it means you need a way to sneak your favorite products into class for a midday touchup.

As you can imagine, most teachers, and even college professors, don’t love it when student pull out a full makeup palette in the middle of class. The good news for you is we’ve got 8 weird makeup hacks that will help you get lipstick, lotion, and more into 6th-period biology lab.

Let’s get into it!

1. Glue Hacks

Glue gives you a few different options for hacks.

Glue Lotion

The first one is super simple and easy to pull off. Take your Elmer’s liquid glue bottle and empty out of the actual glue. Or, if you don’t want to be excessively wasteful, use up the glue before starting this makeup DIY.

Once the glue is out of the bottle, rinse it thoroughly, but don’t ruin the sticker on the outside of the bottle (that’s key for the “glue bottle” disguise to actually work). 

All that’s left to do is fill the bottle with your favorite lotion and screw the top back on. While it might look odd to start squirting what everyone assumes is glue onto your hands in the middle of class, dry hands wait for no school bell.

If you want to ensure you’re not caught, be sure to pick a white lotion that looks like glue instead of your bright pink or purple lotion from Lush.

“Glue” Lipstick

Similar to the first glue hack, take your glue stick and rid it of all the glue, maintaining the glue sticker on the outside to preserve the disguise. Rinse the inside and the cap to make sure no glue remains (you don’t want to accidentally glue your lips shut). 

Next, take your favorite chapstick/lipstick and transfer it from that to the glue stick using a knife or a fork. Try to fit the rod that’s inside the glue stick into the premade hole in the chapstick so it stays in position inside the contraption.

This perfectly hides your favorite lip product inside a former glue stick bottle! You might get some odd looks for putting what looks like a glue stick on your mouth, but it’s worth the looks of awe later when you have a perfect pink lip midday, right?

2. Pins Holders

Lapel pins are hugely popular right now: all over denim jackets, backpacks, and caps, pins are definitely the new collector’s item. They can be personalized to fit your interest, style, aesthetic, and more.

For these reasons, crafting your own pin is the perfect way to sneak makeup into class. Pins are so popular that nobody will think twice if you’re wearing one.

Go to a craft store and get some hot glue, pin backings, and tiny latch containers. Put your favorite eyeshadow, circular lip balm, tiny mirror, etc into that tiny latch container and hot glue a pin on the back of it.

All you have to do is pin it to your jacket, backpack, or shirt, and you’re successfully sneaking makeup into class!

3. Notebook Mirror

A mirror isn’t makeup, per se, but it’s a definite need if you’re applying during class. Without a mirror, you could end up with two completely different brow shapes, crooked eyeliner, etc.

To solve this, go to your local craft store and get a miniature mirror along with some hot glue. Take your favorite binder or notebook and hot glue the mirror on the inside- or back-cover. 

Flip to that page whenever you need to freshen your look, or even just to check out the awesome job you did on your brows that morning.

4. Glasses Cleaner Perfume

Glasses usually come with tiny spray bottles filled with a cleaner that gets rid of dirt and smudges on the glass. Replace that liquid inside the spray bottle with some of your perfume for a few mid-class spritzes (perfect for days you have gym). 

5. Secret Locket and Makeup Necklace

Secret lockets usually have mirrors or tiny pictures of your crush/best friend. But why not use it to bring in some makeup while accessorizing? 

Lockets can be designed to hold makeup powders, eyeshadow, blush, lip balms, and more! You can find ones designed to function this way, or you can customize it yourself by adding a hook and chain to your favorite containers.

6. Keep It Simple: Inconspicuous Containers

For some simpler options that don’t require crafting, try one of these:

Pencil Container

Pencil cases are large and we’re pretty sure no teacher is going to root through it making sure you only have writing utensils. Throw in some eyeliner pencils, tubes of mascara, lip gloss, and other little makeup products right along with your standard #2 pencils and your 0.7mm lead.

Glasses Case

You don’t even have to have glasses for this one. In fact, it’s better if you don’t since the glasses will just take up room where you could be putting makeup. Throw any of your must-haves in a black glasses case to sneak it into school.

Lunchbox

Need a heavy-duty makeover mid-class or before a big assembly? You can fit anything you need into a lunchbox and not arouse any suspicion from teachers.
