Everyone has an obsession with something that they collect and keep as their prized possessions. It’s estimated that there are 10 million coin collectors in the U.S. alone.

Many people who collect either do this to remind themselves of good past memories or desired to have the items for a long time. This obsession can range from shoes, cars, to coins. Just make sure that while collecting, be careful not to fall into the trap of being a hoarder.

1. Frandsen’s Fossilized Poop Collection

Imagine of all things to collect, you decide to collect 1277 samples of fossilized poop. George Frandsen was a paleontologist from the U.S who went around 15 states in the U.S. and 8 countries worldwide collecting poop specimens.

All the specimens were documented at the South Florida Museum in Bradenton, Florida. 

2. The Vomit Bag Collection

Imagine taking your kids to go to a museum to see vomit bags. Though the idea sounds far-fetched, there’s actually a museum that has cataloged over 2000 photos of vomit bags.

3. Barker’s Navel Fluff Collection

For 26 years Graham Baker collected naval fluff from his belly button. He collected about 22 grams of his own naval fluff by placing them in a ceramic pot before carefully transferring it to a larger glass jar which was labeled according to the year the fluff was collected.

He said that the fluff had different colors and sizes because they depended on the type of towel and cloth he was wearing.

4. Back Scratcher Collection

Gideon Weiss a dermatologist in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has a very peculiar collection in his clinic. He owns the world’s largest back scratcher collection which has more than 800 scratchers.

The doctor dermatologist has some fascinating scratchers including one made from alligator foot.

5. Stock’s Koozie Collection

Also known as stubby holders are used to thermally insulate cans. 29 years ago, Phil Stock, a young boy who was 18 years old at the time was gifted a Koozie by his parents as a gift as he was now a legal U.S citizen. It is from then on that this father of two started a lifelong hobby of collecting Koozies.

As of 2nd October 2014, he was named by the Guinness World Record as the first person with the largest Koozie collection of 2,739 Koozies.
