Nuclear Deal with Iran is Death Sentence for Israel and America
Theology and Politics from a Conservative, Biblical Perspective
Apparently, the deal is done and in the end, Iran got everything they wanted. There is nothing in the deal that states that inspectors will be allowed to inspect Iran’s nuclear plants anytime or anywhere. Notice must be given to Iranian officials.
President Obama’s proxy – John Kerry – has essentially given away the farm. The situation did not even include attempting to gain the release of four American prisoners, one of whom is a Christian pastor being held in Iran. People aren’t buying this situation. They’re not happy with it, but then again, Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s right hand person (and quite possibly the person in charge when Obama is not in the Oval Office), was born in Sharaz, Iran, to American parents. Do you think that Jarrett might have wanted to see this deal go through?
That aside, what can we expect now that the deal is brokered? In essence, the world is supposed to believe that Iran will only use nuclear ability for non-weapon use. Who believes that? Anyone? Hello? Beuller? Right, okay.
Here’s how CNN spins it:
After arduous talks that spanned 20 months, negotiators have reached a landmark deal aimed at reining in Iran’s nuclear program.
The agreement, a focal point of U.S. President Barack Obama’s foreign policy, appears set to reshape relations between Iran and the West, with its effects likely to ripple across the volatile Middle East.
CNN says the talks were “arduous.” The problem is that in the end, it appears that Kerry caved to Iran’s demands. Why else would they be smiling in Iran? Of course, President Obama feels very comfortable with this new deal, stating that his goals had been reached.
“Today after two years of negotiation the United States together with the international community has achieved something that decades of animosity has not: a comprehensive long-term deal with Iran that will prevent it from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
Obama also stated that “This deal is not built on trust. It’s built on verification.” The problem of course, is that it will be extremely difficult to verify anything because inspectors cannot do surprise, unannounced inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities. This means the deal is not built on verification, but on trust. The world is supposed to simply trust that Iran (who calls Israel the Great Satan and the United States the little Satan), will do what is right. By that I mean that they will not create nuclear weaponry and they will not use that weaponry that they will not create to attack Israel, the United States, or any other nation they consider an enemy. Again, who actually believes this?
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated, “Negotiators have reached a good agreement and I announce to our people that our prayers have come true.” Why would he be so happy if not for the fact that his country essentially got what they wanted?
It wasn’t long before Netanyahu entered the situation to comment as seen by his tweet below.
When willing to make a deal at any cost, this is the result. From early reports, we can see that the deal is a historic mistake.

People like Gov. Scott Walker, Marco Rubio and others are stating that this will be remembered as one of the worst diplomatic deals ever. John Boehner has called this a “bad deal.” While the left continues to soft soap this entire agreement stating that it does provide additional scrutiny over Iran’s nuclear power plants, in reality, it doesn’t go nearly as far as it should. The fact that inspectors must give notice before they are allowed to inspect, the fact that hostages illegally detained in Iran remain there and were not part of the deal, and other things proves that the Obama administration essentially gave away the farm.
We need to remember that people in Iran have held “Death to America!” protests. This is a rogue nation that has been allowed to continue developing nuclear armaments. The end result will not be good, regardless of the spin that is placed on the deal now.
But we also need to remember that the Bible has many things to say about Israel, the Middle East, and the outcome of several areas of prophetic discourse in the Bible that have not yet played themselves out. Clearly, Israel has the most to lose and this brings us to several places in Scripture that highlight problems that will come to light where Israel is concerned. Psalm 83 highlights the fact that nations strive to come against Israel. The psalmist there pleads with God not to ignore Israel when nations around her are seeking her destruction.
O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
“Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
In the above verses of Psalm 83:1-4, we read how the nations “conspire” against God’s people, Israel. This is happening today and unfortunately, I am saddened to say that a sitting president of the United States has done what he can to actually make it easier for one of those nations to attempt to destroy Israel. Of course, President Obama is not the first president to do this. It has been long known that Jimmy Carter has the same problems with Israel. It is my opinion though that due to President Obama’s fascination and even love for Islam, he is a greater enemy of Israel’s.
Psalm 83 continues to list the various nations that conspire against Israel and the psalmist’s wishes that God would make them like tumbleweeds, like chaff, and to bring them to shame because of their desires to destroy Israel. Ezekiel 38 – 39 speaks of another event, one that has not yet occurred (and the events of Psalm 83 appear to be ongoing).
In Ezekiel 38 – 39, we learn of the Northern Invasion, where Gog (the leader of Magog), decides to turn against Israel and destroy her, taking spoils as he does. This section of Scripture not only highlights Gog’s plan to overtake and destroy Israel, but it highlights God’s response when Gog tries to do what he promises to do. It’s a fascinating read and if you have not read it, I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so because this set of events is still in the future. It is as yet, unfulfilled prophecy.
Will Iran use and abuse its nuclear capabilities? We can count on it. They will either attempt an attack on Israel or join with others (Russia, China, etc.), who will attempt an attack. In either case, the Bible says that it will not end well…for Israel’s attackers.
Regardless of what you may think of Israel and her leaders, the reality is that these people are not saved. They are not operating from a Christian perspective, but God has a plan to enlighten them. He will work to urge Israel to begin to recognize Him as God. Ultimately, He will pull a final remnant from the nation of Israel that will see Him for who He is – their Messiah and Savior. Before they get to that point though, there is still a bit of a rough road ahead for them.
The idea that Iran will keep their promise to not use nuclear capabilities to create nuclear weapons is absurd. Only someone who either has no clue or is secretly in collusion with Iran would pretend to believe them and their promises.
To allow Iran to have nuclear capabilities is patently absurd. It’s one thing to do everything that can be done to ensure that they do not gain nuclear capabilities. If they do after all is said and done, it won’t be due to nations not trying to disarm them. It’s quite another thing to essentially say “Okay, we believe that you will not use your nuclear capabilities to create armaments that will be used against your sworn enemies.” That’s like inviting a known criminal into your home and believing him when he says he will not break the law while living under your roof. Who does that?
Iran cannot…will not change its spots. They are a rogue nation, a nation that is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the United States. It is President Obama who bears the responsibility of willfully placing Israel and America in the nuclear cross-hairs of Iran’s weaponry. Only an idiot or traitor would act in such a fashion. I’ll let you decide which one fits.
