The Universal Noahide code (UN) in UN HQ..

The Institute of Noahide Code INC proposes a strategic alliance with the United Nations post 2030 agenda to promote the codification into national legislation of the United Nations resolutions on the culture of peace, environmental ethics and social justice. The Institute of Noahide Code recruits parliamentarians from all United Nations member states who share the goal of implementing these United Nations resolutions into national legislation by providing model draft legislation, initiating workshops and conferences and creating alliances with religious leaders, media and academic leaders and business executives who support and supplement the legislation by teaching, publicizing and putting into practice the “global ethics” inherent in these United Nations Resolutions.

It is proposed that the strategic alliance with the United Nations be expressed through the filing of the relevant national legislation and parliamentary sponsor in the data base of the Department of Legal Affairs in the office of the basis for international law, serves to inspire the codification, legislation and implementation of these global ethics which are inscribed in contemporary society by the United Nations.United Nations Secretary General and an annual assembly on LEGISLATING FOR GLOBAL ETHICS to be held at the UN General Assembly to report and encourage further progress towards this goal. The Noahide Code, which, according to Hugo Grotius, forms the base of international law.

The majority of the conflicts around the world have been triggered by religious issues, lack of natural resources and ethnic reasons. These three main causes have devastating effects on all the people involved and especially the vulnerable ones (children, women and the elderly) who daily experience cruelties, violence, abuses, tortures and death. To better understand this context, it is sufficient taking a look at some geopolitical scenarios like Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Nigeria, Syria, Somalia, Ukraine, and also very recently and devastatingly so, Iraq, among others.The project of The Institute of Noahide Code addresses the root causes which affect the development of peace and democracy worldwide. Nowadays, in a war-torn world like the one we are living, the need of a universally accepted code among the nations is vital to bring peace to countries and communities in conflict, but also in the everyday life of each individual

Here in the United States we have seen the arbitrary killing of unarmed civilians, by armed police officers.  One of the cases that comes to mind is a man whose only affirmation was, “I can’t breath”, and yet, he was choked to death.  Another recent case that comes to mind and is painful just happened when a man beneath a car, trying to show his driver’s licence had four bullets pumped into him.

Terrorism also strikes a chord  On the day of the Orlando massacre, the Jewish world commemorated what we know as Matan Torah, the giving of the Torah in Sinai.  This holiday takes place on the 50th day from the moment the Hebrew nation fled slavery in Egypt.  On 2016, as we celebrated the 2,2— years of the giving of the Universal Noahide Code where human kind is clearly commanded to “respect life”, i.e., do not assassinate, a man took the lives of 49 unarmed civilians, he becoming the 50th to die that day.

Humanity has a shared burden no matter where we live.

And humanity has a common solution, which is the Universal Noahide Code which encompasses all religious, political and legal spheres no matter what land we hail from.

The Universal Noahide Code was given as Torah also was, in Mount Sinai.  There are recollections of the entire barren landscape of the dessert blossoming when the world was given these laws.  Nature was stirred by the possibility of peace, as these laws set forth peace between man and is Creator, man and his fellow human being.

It was the beloved 26th President of Mexico, Benito Juarez, who proclaimed:  “El respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz”, respect for others’ rights is peace.

The United Nations on the 10th December 1948 signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and I propose that the Universal Noahide Code is reflected in the spirit of a document which recognizes the rights of human beings.  I further propose that the Universal Noahide Code deals with the responsibilities of the individual.

To believe in One G-d, is to recognize The Being Who out of Love, created this world.  We are commanded, all human beings, not to adore idols.

To respect G-d and to praise Him, is to speak kindly of the Being Who sustains the world, for the good of humankind

To respect human life, is to acknowledge that we are created as brothers and sisters, and that each one of us carries a divine spark.  We are vessels of the Divine.

To respect marriage, is to respect the cornerstone of the society which is the family.  We respect the young, the old, the weak and infirm.

To respect private property, is to lay the foundation of peaceful coexistence.  We don’t take what is not ours.

To respect the life of an animal, to feed the animal even before we eat, allowing the animal to rest, is to respect life itself.

To create a judicial system is to bring order to society, to our villages, and provinces, the nations we hail from, as there is no peace without justice.

The former President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, stated in this United Nations, that his country had incorporated into its constitution, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as a means to guarantee its citizens, the enjoyment of freedom.

My intention as the founder and Director of the Universal Noahide Code is to call on all 193 nations that comprise this organization, to incorporate into their constitutions, the Universal Noahide Code.  That the media and specially, the UN Radio and TV departments, promote this idea of responsibility of human beings first to their Creator, from where these Codes originate, and to their fellow human being.

The Universal Noahide Code UNC is above all politics, justice and religious systems and boundaries.  But it can be a part of all political, justice and religious systems because its origin transcends that which is man made, and it is a Divine imperative of He, Who fashioned the moon, the stars and the infinite universe just that humankind would exist, for the beloved vessel of His, the human being.  Peace is the goal.  The vessel must be at peace, for the blessing to flow into it, and the Universal Noahide Code organizes the world in the manner shown by He, Who fashioned it.

The Seven Laws That Connect All Men to God

When Jews received the Torah at Mount Sinai, they accepted 613 Torah commandments (mitzvot). However, even before that, all of mankind accepted the Seven Noahide Laws, called the Mitzvot Bnei Noah in Hebrew.

Bnei Noah means the “Children of Noah”, though there is an opinion that these commandments were given in the time of Adam. Today, the Noahide movement is dedicated to observing these seven universal laws. It is growing and making a unique contribution to bringing redemption in many different ways.

Breaking Israel News spoke with a former Noahide who has now converted to Judaism and moved to Israel. Hillel Penrod, who changed his name from Adam when he converted, is an artist from a religious Christian family who grew up learning the Bible as a child in the American south. Hillel and his father went to a lecture given by world-renowned archaeologist Vendyl Jones, one of the founders of the modern Noahide movement. Jones spoke about the Ark of the Covenant, and it made an enormous impression on Hillel’s parents. They began taking classes with Jones in Texas, but being a typical teenager, Hillel was not interested in joining them. Finally, after much urging from his parents, and despite his fears that it was a cult, he agreed to attend one class.

Hillel was amazed by Jones’s enthusiasm and his scholarly grasp of classical Torah sources, which Hillel had never known existed. He attended Jones’s classes on a sporadic basis, but his real interest kicked in when he went to college and started looking for answers of his own. His questions about his future and his path in life led him to a connection with God, something he saw as attaching to the eternal and making life more meaningful.

Simple answers were not sufficient for Hillel, and after much searching, he decided to go back to the Torah classes given by Jones.

“I began to suspect that my connection with Christianity was unconventional and incompatible with those of the churches I had grown up in. I found myself turning to the sources that Jones referred to in ways that were simply not done in the church,” explained Hillel to Breaking Israel News.

When he began learning from Jones, the scholar explained to Hillel his reasons for starting the Noahide movement, saying, “I realized that Jesus was a Jew, and the people he talked to were Jews. If I wanted to understand the New Testament, then I needed to understand the teachings of Jesus from the standpoint of Judaism. I needed to understand what Jesus said in the language of those he said it to.”

From this, Hillel began to believe that the New Testament could only be correctly understood from a Jewish perspective. After consulting with a member of Jones’s Noahide organization, Hillel began to study the Noahide laws and sources connected to them. At that point in his life, Hillel became a Noahide and began keeping the seven laws.

Hillel came to Israel to deepen his understanding of what it meant to be a Noahide and worked with Jones for six months, during which his relationship with Christianity changed. He then studied at the Diaspora Yeshiva (a seminary for learning about Judaism).

“I believed that the Noahide laws were fundamental to a just society and a real relationship with God. [They] guaranteed a place in the world to come to non-Jews. It was important to be a Noahide and observe the universal obligations God created for humanity,” he told Breaking Israel News.

Hillel began to consider converting to Judaism, but he did not pursue it at the time. Instead, he lived his life as a Noahide for about 15 years, keeping the laws and teaching classes, actively involved in raising awareness and spreading what he had learned.

Eventually, Hillel came to the realization that he wanted to live a more fully Jewish life. “It was on the trip in 1999-2000 that I first began to wonder about conversion to Judaism, [but] it wouldn’t be until 2014 that I actually completed the process,” he said.

Hillel emphasizes that conversion was a personal decision he arrived at after a process of many years, believing that conversion is not a necessity for everyone. However, he believes that the Noahide laws are universal, and they are frequently the answer that many non-Jews are seeking while remaining within their religion.

His unique path has led Hillel to a universal concept of Judaism in which Torah is for the good of all humanity.

“Even today, as a Jew, I still feel a sense of responsibility towards my fellow human beings and try to increase knowledge of the seven laws,” he said. For anyone who is interested in investigating the Noahide laws, Hillel suggests the Noahide Nations yeshiva course in order to learn about the laws in detail.

For the time being, observance of these commandments is primarily personal, with no wider religious implications. However, when the Third Temple is built in Jerusalem, non-Jews will be required to observe the seven Noahide laws if they wish to bring sacrifices. The Temple service is meant to include and benefit non-Jews and Jews alike, and many non-Jews did participate in the service when the Temple still stood in Jerusalem. King Solomon specifically asked God to heed the prayer of non-Jews who come to the Temple (1-Kings 8:41-43). Many Christians are showing a strong interest in the Temple Mount recently and the seven Noahide laws allow the nations of the world to take their place in the process of global redemption.

The seven universal commandments are:

1. Do not deny God.
2. Do not blaspheme God.
3. Do not murder.
4. Do not engage in sexual immorality.
5. Do not steal.
6. Do not eat of a live animal.
7. Establish courts/legal system to ensure law and obedience.

Basically the Noahide pushers are attempting to replace Jesus’ Redemption with the 7 Noahide Laws (the counterfeit 10 Commandments).  The original Ten Commandments were written by the Hand of God, our creator, upon stone tablets.  The counterfeit Noahide Laws are interpretations and consolidations (traditions of men) of the Ten Commandments of God.  They are the creation of man, not our Heavenly Father.

Wouldn’t It be Easier if We All Spoke the Same

The first human being was created singular, male and female at the beginning of creation. Why was the human being created alone? Why did not G-d created immediately a multitude of people? A society, has He intended to become?

The Jewish Sages tell us that it was in order to convey us an eternal teaching: Every human being is like a entire world.  When a person decides he wants to live his life according to HaShem’s Will he as fulfilled his purpose and that of the entire world. No need to conquer a full country, no need for massive political utopic decisions, only you and I can make that difference by living in a way which reflects our Divine Source.

If we all choose to speak a common language, bind to a common set of principles, that would unite us all as human beings, conserving our own unique singularity and cultural traits: name, clothes, gastronomy, art, etc.

It is time for us to bring back the Universal Noahide Code, which helped establish justice, peace and harmony around the world during so many generations.

Here is the Universal Noahide Code:

1. To believe in the One Creator, is to recognize The Being Who out of Love, created this world. We are commanded, all human beings, not to worship any idols (i.e. statues, people, concepts or philosophies).
2. To respect the Creator and to praise Him, is to speak kindly of the Being Who sustains the world, for the good of humankind.
3. To respect human life is to acknowledge that we are all brothers and sisters, and that each one of us carries the “divine image” within himself. We are vessels for the Divine.
4. To respect marriage, is to respect the cornerstone of the society which is the family.
5. To respect private property, is to lay the foundation of peaceful coexistence. We don’t take what is not ours.
6. To respect the life of an animal and nature at large. To feed the animal even before we eat, allowing the animal to rest, is to respect life itself.

What is most beautiful about these laws, is the breathing room they provide. They resonate equally in Africa, (North) America, (South) America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia and Europe. They are like the guidelines of a great master of music or art: firm, reliable and comprehensive – a foundation upon which, all peoples and every person may build and expand life according to their own singularity and culture.

The Prophet Zephaniah announces that in the future all will speak a pure language: “For then I will teach the peoples a pure language that all of them call out in the name of the Lord, to worship Him with one heart.”(3:9). This prophecy has two practical implications:  The first one is, the observance of the Seven Universal Commandments for humanity. The second one is, that besides the current language spoken in different countries (english, french, russian, chinese, etc) everyone will also understand and speak Hebrew, the language in which G-d conveys His Eternal Will in the Torah.

The Universal Noahide Code is a sacred inheritance for all humanity. Every person on the face of the earth can use it as the basis for his or her life. If we just begin to acknowledge these laws in our daily lives, we will start seeing a different reality in an immediate way, a new future and a beautiful world: RIGHT NOW!
