I first saw her sitting at the back behind the other performers eating her sandwich’s in 2009. I said to my very ill wife, who was sitting in her chair opposite me, I bet she’s going to surprise them. Didn’t she just ?. My wife passed away 2010, Every time I hear Susan sing “I Dreamed A Dream”. I see my wife in her chair, and I cry. Thank you so much Susan.

I feel like all of us are a little bit audience and a little bit Susan Boyle. We have that side that is cynical and judgmental and that side that is deeply talented at something and looking to be acknowledged and validated. When those two forces come together, at their extremes and at just the right moment–magic can happen as it did for Susan Boyle that night in 2009! For some it might be in front of an audience of thousands or millions, for others it might happen in obscurity.
