Darryl Glenn Will Lead, Not Compromise

In a recent debate between the Republican candidates for U.S. Senate in Colorado, the moderator asked conservative Darryl Glenn (R-CO) how he would work across party lines to find compromise in Washington.

“I think your question exemplifies what’s wrong with America and the frustration out there. You don’t get it,” Glenn said.

“It’s not about reaching across the aisle. You need a leader to stand up there and represent the values of this country.”

It’s great to see someone push back on this notion that Republicans are always supposed to compromise with Democrats while the Democrats steamroll us with their liberal agenda.

This view, which is held by the GOP leadership in the Senate today, has given us massive bailouts, uncontrolled spending, and over $19 trillion in debt.

The media wants to force Republicans to compromise their principles or risk being labeled “extreme.” But of course they never expect Democrats to compromise. It’s always heads they win, tails we lose.

Darryl Glenn was right to push back on this question and it’s refreshing to see someone with the guts to speak the truth. 

We don’t need any more dealmakers in Washington. We need more leaders who will fight for the policies that will truly save this country.
