Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 14 (2018)

If you are reading this article I am going to assume that you are one of the teams in your league who is still playing for something and has a chance to win a fantasy football championship. If this is the case, I want you to take a minute and appreciate the journey that you have embarked on so far this season.

Whether it be untimely injuries, bad trades or unforeseen hold outs, you have weathered the storm and put yourself in a position to become the last man standing. In my over 10 year career of playing fantasy football, I have won 5 league titles and my main goal is to win at least one a year out of the 4 or 5 leagues I am in.

The one thing that is for sure is that you never know if you will ever have another chance to win one again. This may be your only chance to reach the top of the fantasy summit, because in all honesty it requires a lot of luck to win in the playoffs. But at this point your skill and smart decision making got you here. There is only one thing left to do…lock in and get yourself a trophy.

Week 14 Start ’em Courtland Sutton – Den WR

With the unexpected season ending injury to Emmanuel Sanders, Sutton is now thrust into the spotlight as the main receiving option on the Broncos offense. The rookie wideout is coming off his best performance of the year racking up 85 yards on 4 receptions with a touchdown against the Bengals.

His matchup this week is a juicy one as he faces a 49ers defense that has been unable to stop big playmakers and is likely a big reason why they are in prime position to get the number one pick in next years draft. Simply put, Sutton is primed for a breakout game and should receive enough targets to warrant WR2 consideration from here on out.

Week 14 Sit ’em Mike Evans – TB WR

Evans has been inconsistent this season and is coming off one of his worst games of the year which may have a lot to do with the quarterback carousel in Tampa Bay. He has not scored a touchdown since week 11 against the Giants and his supporting cast of wide receivers are starting to take more and more of his targets.

With the potential return of DeSean Jackson this week, Evans is not trustworthy even though he has a plus matchup against the Saints this week. If you are in the first round of the playoffs and need a sure-fire performance, look elsewhere this week and avoid this Bucs receiver.

Mike Evans Week 14 Projections: 3 receptions, 45 receiving yards, 0 TD’s
