STORMY WEATHER

Anyone remember the beginning of this year? Let me just remind you in case you’ve forgotten. The central meme was the WEATHER! The profit margins of Pappa Jack’s Handy Dandy Widget Maker were affected by the weather, in spite of the fact Pappa Jack’s was located primarily in Southern California. I suppose it was the spillover effect from the Northeast regional economies….much like the falling housing numbers in Southern California were effected by the weather in the Midwest and Northeast. If you’re having trouble following this logic, I can’t blame you, but it is exactly what the talking heads have been repeating constantly to explain the cliff we’ve been going off of for over 10 months now. 

Here’s where it get’s interesting however. We’ve had great weather for several months now, but the slowdown continues with disappointing bottom and top lines for many companies. IF the weather was the culprit in the first of the year we should see a coiled spring effect in numbers recently and that just isn’t happening. Yet we continue to be told taper will continue unabated as the recovery continues. You have to love a “plan”. Not only that but they’re “stickin’ to it”.  Maybe its the weather COMING that we should really be worried about.

What’s the purpose of bringing up this dirty old laundry from the beginning of the year? Its to demonstrate just how critical this next phase of the centrally managed recovery is entering. This recovery is tantamount to the patient that is on life support with a ventilator maintaining life and the EEG shows a flicker of activity, but the ICU Doctor tells the family for the 99th day in a row that the patient continues to show signs of recovery. How long before the reality of  the situation becomes apparent to even the most obvious observer? Are they really pulling the plug? Do they even have to pull the plug?

I WILL TAKE THE ILLUSION and I will run with it. I don’t know how long the illusion of recovery will be maintained but I am very much aware its an illusion and not be lulled into complacency by the different memes such as weather as an excuse for the real underlying collapse as it continues. I DO NOT marvel at the orchestrated media propaganda. I find the betrayal of truth to be tragic to the Republic…..gl
