China is a country which famously exports an enormous amount to countries all around the world. While they may be huge exporters, they also import certain products to their country from a handful of places all around the world and it is an appealing place for countries to export to. The UK is also a major trader with China. There are a few products which China imports from the UK on a large scale, including electrical machinery and equipment, mineral fuels and oils, vehicles, medical equipment and plastics. Exporting to China can be very smart for UK businesses due to the expanding middle class, fast-growing consumer market and continued interest in Western culture.
Iron ore and its concentrate from Australia is China’s most expensive import from a single country with the trade currently being tariff-free between the two nations. China also imports coal, copper and wool from the resource-rich country which makes Australia China’s biggest trade partner.
Unsurprisingly, cars are a huge export from Germany to a handful of countries with China being the third largest importer (behind the USA and UK). In addition to their reliable and high-quality cars, Germany also exports aircraft, spacecraft and vaccines to China.
A disagreement over islands in the East China Sea fractured the relationship between China and Japan during 2012, prior to which China imported more from Japan than anywhere else.
