Here in Ohio, we’re finally beginning to welcome cooler, fall temperatures. Well, sort of….It’s been flip-flopping between being stuck in a furnace and cooler temperatures. 

Thankfully, the past few days have been seasonably cool and comfortable, allowing me to break out some of my favorite, organic cotton fall fashions from prAna. I absolutely adore this brand, not only because their clothing is comfy and stylish, but also because they use fair trade practices, and sustainable, organic materials whenever possible.

Why choose organic cotton over traditional cotton clothing? Well, there are quite a few benefits. For one, organic cotton is sustainably sourced, without the use of harsh, synthetic pesticides. Sounds pretty awesome, right? Choosing sustainable fashion isn’t only the responsible thing to do, it’s also easier to do now than ever before, as more and more brands are recognizing the value of organically sourcing the materials they need for production.

I recently received this gorgeous fall outfit from prAna to check out for myself. Included were the Sugar Pine Dress and the Elsin Sweater Coat, both of which include organic cotton. I absolutely LOVE these pieces, and they’ve quickly become fall staples in my wardrobe. 

The Sugar Pine Dress is very unique, as this dress features a relaxed skirt, smocked waistband, and a button up top. The dress falls right about knee length on me, and is super comfortable to wear. It looks great with a denim jacket, or with a sweater coat and boots. 

Honestly, if you’re a bustier gal, I’d recommend either sizing up or wearing a cami or cute bralette underneath and unbuttoning the top couple of buttons. I am a D cup, and found that I had to keep adjusting to keep the buttons from becoming gapped. This is a very minor issue, though, and I’ve found that simple layering takes care of this easily. 

The Elsin Sweater Coat in Mulled Wine is one of my favorite garments ever from prAna. This coat is super soft, warm, and is incredibly flattering and versatile. This coat can be paired with your favorite dresses, or with skinny jeans and a cute top. Oh, and an added bonus I know you ladies will love? The Elsin Sweater Coat includes pockets! Not decorative, half-pockets, either….We’re talking real, honest to goodness, deep pockets! prAna for the win! 

Yesterday, it was finally chilly enough to head out sporting these latest styles from prAna, so we hit our little city’s Oktoberfest. We walked around enjoying the vendors, eating authentic, German foods, and then we hit the boardwalk to take a look at the Cuyahoga River.

Isn’t that an adorable outfit?! I got TONS of compliments on it, from men and women alike! I used that as an opportunity to chat with them about prAna, and why organic cotton is the way to go this fall. Many people weren’t aware of the many benefits of going organic with their fashion choices, and one woman even hugged me and asked me to write down the brand name. I have a feeling she’s going to be sporting an Elsin Sweater Coat soon, too! 

Overall, I’m totally digging prAna’s Fall lineup. Not only do they have tons of sustainable fashion choices sure to flatter any body type, these pieces are durable enough to last for many years. The quality is phenomenal, and the functionality fits right into my busy lifestyle.
