Since I just posted about our rain problems here in NE Ohio, I’ll skip the long, drawn out description of yards that have turned into lakes and roads that are rivers. If you’ve been watching the news, you probably know that Ohio, and the Midwest in general, is dealing with non-stop monsoon-like rains, and the many issues that it brings. 

Oh, and earthquakes. We’ve had those, too. 

Oh, and tornadoes. We have had several tornadoes rip through the general area. 

Needless to say, our outdoor summer plans? They’re kind of on hold at the moment. We’ve been staying inside, and we’ve been doing everything we can to keep Cabin Fever from making us go insane. 

Video games and board games have been saving graces, and one of our new faves? Definitely this Cartoon Network Bundle that includes STEVEN UNIVERSE SAVE THE LIGHT & OK K.O.! LET’S PLAY HEROES. This pack brings two of Cartoon Network’s greatest games onto one physical disc and is now available exclusively at retail globally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

All 3 of my kids are Steven Universe obsessed. My 19 year old son is particularly in love with this series, and is contemplating changing his last name from his father’s name to something that honors this show. 

Not kidding. 

We are HUGE fans of this inclusive show, and were thrilled to be able to play the Save the Light game on our XBOX ONE console. ​

The game play is fast paced and the animation and story line are true to the series. My kids all love the graphics and the battle modes, and they also love the fact that this game uses some of their favorite Steven Universe phrases….

Like the word “clod”. 

I’ve been hearing the word clod over and over and over, followed by wild giggling. 

Will good triumph over evil? Will Beach City survive this assault? Will they save Light Steven from the evil, mystery homeworld gem?

Play the game and try! It’s definitely a great escape from all this rain, and takes us away to a brighter, more colorful realm for a while! 

The other game on this disc is equally engaging for kids of all ages. Based on the hit Cartoon Network show, OK K.O.!, this game is action packed and full of superhero adventures.

Or aspiring superhero adventures. 

That’s the point of the game, really…To complete enough tasks and quests to be considered a bona-fide superhero. 

Overall, this Cartoon Network game bundle is a great value, and is sure to please any animation fans, young and old alike. Steven Universe has such mass appeal, and it’s charm doesn’t get lost in this adaptation. In fact, it will come in handy when you’re waiting on the newer episodes to premiere. OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is loads of fun, too, and offers your lil gamers to get their pent up energy out via cartoon brawls and battles. 

If you’re dealing with a rainier than average summer like we are, definitely pick up a copy of this game to help beat the boredom of being stuck inside.
