Ocampo, Michoacán: In a surprise operation carried out early this Sunday, about 30 elements of the Municipal Police of Ocampo, some say the town’s entire police force, were arrested and will be transferred to the city of Morelia to be investigated for their alleged participation in criminal acts, including murder of the PRD mayoral candidate, Fernando Ángeles Juárez.

Among the criminal acts in which the complicity of the municipal corporation is presumed, is the recent shooting of the PRD candidate for the mayoralty of Ocampo, Fernando Ángeles Juárez, which occurred last Thursday outside his residence.
