Among those killed is Commander 30, alleged leader of organized crime linked to several executions in the state
Seven suspected fuel thieves were killed early Sunday, during a clash with elements of the Secretariat of Navy, near the province of San Miguel Espejo, in the Puebla capital.
Under the anonymity, police sources commented to this media that among the now deceased, is El Comandante 30, alleged leader of organized crime, linked to several executions in Puebla.
The first reports indicate that the events occurred on a dirt road surrounded by agricultural land, near the auxiliary board of San Miguel Espejo. The elements of the Navy were conducting a surveillance tour of the area, when they encountered a group of subjects who apparently milked the pipelines of Petróleos Mexicanos.
Upon observing the police presence, the fuel thieves began shooting on members of the Navy, who in turn repelled the aggression leaving dead at least six huachicoleros and their leader, the so-called Commander 30.
Due to the foregoing, the area was immediately secured and guarded by the military corps, until the arrival of the experts and the personnel of the State Attorney General’s Office to proceed with the removal of corpses.
Long weapons were found on the site, as well as a van and an LP gas pipe.
Several of the bodies discovered in recent months in the municipality of Puebla, were accompanied by a cartulina message signed by El Comandante 30.
