Chilpancingo, Guerrero; State police reported that three members of a family, including a one-year-old child, were killed on a dirt road that connects the communities of Juquila and El Paraíso, in the municipality of Ayutla de los Libres.
According to the reports, Silvestre García Catarino, 24, died in the attack, which occurred on Sunday afternoon in the mountain of this municipality; also killed were his wife Aliviana Sabino Librado, 22, and the child Cristian, one year old.
All three were shot in the head and neck.
According to the official information, the victims left their community at 8:00 am on Sunday, heading to the town of El Paraíso, to visit relatives.
During the journey they were accosted and shot dead by men carrying 22-caliber weapons.
The bodies of the two adults and the child were found by girls who were walking in the area.
So far, the reason for the crime is unknown.
They find more bodies in clandestine graves
In Acapulco, staff from the state Attorney’s Office went to Colonia Tierra and Libertad, where they located the bodies of a woman and a man in a clandestine grave.
With this finding there are already seven bodies that in 24 hours have been found in different parts of the port, where violence does not stop.
On Sunday five corpses were extracted from clandestine graves in Colonia Loma Bonita.
One of the bodies was identified as an auxiliary police officer who was reported missing 15 days ago.
According to sources from the Prosecutor’s Office, the discovery of the seven corpses is due to statements made by members of a criminal group, who are detained and have indicated the places where they buried victims.
Meanwhile, in Chilpancingo, in the Colonia del PRT, a man was found shot to death and dumped inside a ditch.
