“El Pistache”, leader of La Unión Tepito, in Santa Fe, is arrested

This morning, elements of the Navy and the SEIDO captured David Garcia, better known as “El Pistache”, successor of “El Betito” in the leadership of the criminal organization “La Unión Tepito”.

He was captured when he was in High Park, a luxury building in Santa Fe.

Mexican Navy conducted an operation for his capture, that ended in gunfire during the early morning in the neighborhood Narvarte Oriente, perimeter of the Benito Juárez delegation, in which three people were arrested, two of them were injured, so they were taken to a hospital.

According to the first reports, the sailors searched an apartment located on Zempoala Street, almost at the junction with Calzada Obrero Mundial, a building related to La Unión Tepito.

In the search, authorities seized drugs and weapons, so far authorities have not confirmed the capture, according to Carlos Jiménez.
