David López Jiménez, also known as El 20, El Cabo 20, El Lobo or La Marrana, was a member of
the New Generation Jalisco Cartel (CJNG); However, he betrayed the criminal group, which triggered an intense hunt against him.
According to several medias, in 2015 the CJNG and the Tijuana Cartel agreed on an alliance that led to the creation of the Tijuana Nueva Generación Cartel (CTNG), a criminal cell that disputes the plaza with the Sinalo cartel.
This union caused the annoyance of several members of the CJNG, among them El 20, who together with José Ángel Roque García, alias El Roque; Pablo Edwin Huerta Nuño, nicknamed El Flakito; among others, he created resistance groups.
El 20 came to the attention of the authorities in 2017, when he was arrested for trafficking drugs. At that time, he was designated as the alleged leader of the group that operated in the Sánchez Taboada, Tijuana delegation.
In the middle of 2018 the rupture of El 20 with the CJNG became obvious, after which appeared a narcomanta where the CTNG threatened him:
