A policeman from Ecatepec was disarmed by a civilian who tried to prevent the arrest of another man, in Colonia Luis Donaldo Colosio.

In a video broadcast on social networks, it is shown the moment in which a group of police officers try to take in a detainee.

An individual approached to prevent the man from being arrested and managed to remove the officer’s charge gun. He then started firing shots to the ground asking them to release the detainee.

Despite the fact that there were more officers in the official vehicle, the detainee –who doesn’t appear intoxicated–managed to get out of the truck and took refuge with the assailant, who threatened the officers with the pistol.

The policemen then exited the vehicle, at which time the civilian threw the gun down and amazingly both he and the would be detainee are left alone as the patrol truck speeds off.
