The event occurred in the Carboniferous and North regions, in area about one hour away; operatives deployed.

According to an official statement, the State Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) learned early Saturday morning of the abandonment of a vehicle in the vicinity of the offices of the Investigative Police in the Municipality of San Juan de Sabinas, inside they found the bodies of five people without life.

“Staff of the FGE opened an investigation folder in this regard, proceeds to the identification of the bodies, as well as the collection of evidence to clarify the facts and punish those responsible,” said the document released to the media this morning.

Regarding a different act of violence, the FGE also reported that armed persons attacked security elements” who were traveling on the Nava-Piedras Negras highway, by the facilities of a beer company.”

“Elements of security bodies of different orders of government were carrying out an operation by air and land in search of armed civilians that this morning, around 4:00 am, and they were assaulted ,” said the Prosecutor’s Office said in a prior notice.

“According to preliminary reports, the injured are two elements of the Municipal Police and one of the State Police , who were injured by firearms and already have received medical attention,” said the Prosecutor.

An investigation has been opened to find and prosecute those responsible.
