This afternoon a series of photographs began to circulate of one of the alleged sicarios active in the Cartel del Noreste (CDN) in western Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, who was identified as Uvaldo Martinez, aka El Brackets. As can be seen in the images, the subject wears a cloned uniform to try to emulate an agent of the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar).
According to the Twitter portal La Voz del Pueblo, El Brackets is the same subject that appeared in a video with several armed men of the CDN, who were in the middle of a road and wearing plate carriers.
Likewise, El Brackets was accused of boasting in its social media networks that he and his comrades have the protection of Civil Protection units of the government of Nuevo Laredo, since they supposedly receive their support when they are cornered by the military. In fact, in a photograph El Brackets appears on a Civil Protection unit.
El Brackets is not the only member of the CDN that broadcasts photographs of their illicit activities on social networks, because on April 13, a video of Alexis Delgado, aka El Huevo, who was identified as an assassin of the aforementioned criminal group came to light. In the material, the character in question appears, firing his weapon into the air in the middle of the street.
These facts are added to those that occurred on March 29, the date on which a video appeared where a group of drug traffickers dressed in uniforms similar to those of the Navy of Mexico appeared while driving with total impunity through the streets of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
In addition, the criminals exhibited how they use their power by ordering vehicles to stop for a review.
Another of the activities of the CDN is extortion. A few weeks ago it became known that they were beginning to take money from their victims through WhatsApp videos. After investigating their victims, they send a recording profiling death threats, and also intimidate by providing confidential information about the person, which they obtain through the illegal purchase of databases.
