Agua Prieta, Sonora: The Sonora Prosecutor’s Office investigates the events in Agua Prieta, where five people died, as well as in Naco, with the death of four people by firearms.
According to news reports, the clashes and shootings in Agua Prieta and Naco, left nine dead and the inhabitants took the weapons and vests in the vans that were abandoned, after the events.
In both places were reported yesterday detonations of firearm, so they went to the authorities and according to the Homologated Police Report, two folders of investigation were opened on the facts.
The report indicated that a first incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. yesterday, at 7th Street and 43rd Avenue, in the Sports colony, in Agua Prieta, where two vehicles were located with impacts of firearm projectiles.
In place was a Chevrolet Pickup, with overlapping plates, where there were the bodies of two men with bullet wounds, a long gun, two AK-47s and tactical vests.
In addition, in another vehicle were found the bodies of a man and a woman, as well as a weapon, and on the stream was another male corpse with several bullet wounds.
In Naco, only 37 kilometers away, they reported another confrontation with firearms on the Naco highway and Juan Bracamontes Hernández street. A white Chevrolet HHR vehicle was found with plates from Arizona, United States, inside which were four people without life, all of the male sex with wounds from projectiles of firearms.
Apparently these violent acts are related to each other, and it is about the control of the plaza by criminal groups.
In the same event a 12 year old child was injured in the left leg by a stray bullet, the child Omar “N.”, is reportedly out of danger and receiving medical attention.
At the moment, the Attorney General’s Office has not issued official information about these events that occurred in the northwest border of Sonora.
The last week there has been a violent one in the south of the state, especially in the municipality of Cajeme, which has left a balance of 16 people without life, several people kidnapped, a child of 9 years wounded and an elderly woman 82-year-old wounded with a stray bullet when she pulled money from an ATM.
These facts are investigated by the Security Bureau, formed by the FGJE, the Attorney General of the Republic, Federal Police, Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and Navy Navy of Mexico.
