The attack occurred when family members traveled in two trucks on the road to the mountain community of El Camarón

ESCUINAPA._ Four members of a family lost their lives and one minor was seriously injured when they were attacked with bullets as they traveled in two trucks on the road that goes to the mountain community of El Camarón, near the El Peñón dam, during Friday morning.

The victims were identified before the ministerial authorities as Ismael “N”, of 57 years of age, his son Jesus Manuel “N”, of 33 years, the minor Jesus “N”, of 17 years, while of the fourth person who died was not identified.

The attack was reported to the authorities at about 7:00 am this Friday, and occurred seven kilometers from the municipal seat on the way to the mountain community. About seven miles away..

The first reports of police officers indicate that people were traveling aboard two trucks, when they were apparently ambushed, dying at the scene.

The minor was rushed to a hospital in the municipal capital, but because he had at least six bullet wounds in the body, he was transferred to a hospital in Mazatlan.
