Operation Rastrillo was carried out in the municipalities of Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, and Valle de Chalco. Mexico City, June 30 (SinEmbargo) – Federal, state, and municipal forces carried out an operation in four municipalities of the State of Mexico and rescued 32 people reported missing, arrested 89 for various crimes, and confiscated drugs and stolen cars.
During the 154 operations, the security forces arrested 89 people for their probable participation in various crimes, of which 34 of them had arrest warrants against them.
1,350 security personnel participated in the operations; 43 operations in Chalco, 33 in Chicoloapan, 45 in Chimalhuacán, and 33 in Valle de Chalco.
According to information from Mexican authorities, Operation Rastrillo was carried out at 3:00 hours on Friday, June 28, and it sought to serve 91 neighborhoods considered as having a high crime rate.
For his part, the State Prosecutor of the State of Mexico, Alejandro Gómez, reported that the 34 people that were arrested that had an arrest warrant, were for crimes such as homicide, rape, statutory rape, sexual abuse, vehicle theft with violence, robbery, theft, aggravated robbery, injuries, and dispossession.
Meanwhile, the other 55 were arrested were caught for: in flagrante delicto, concealment, possession of weapons for exclusive use by the Mexican Army, assault on communication channels, use of false documents, and use of prohibited weapons.
The police forces secured 545 doses of marijuana, 22 of cocaine, 4 firearms, 6 magazine of various calibers, 5 prohibited weapons, 20 vehicles, 11 vehicles with stolen reports, and 8 buildings.
