“El Ganso” Los Zetas Leader Detained in San Fernando Tamaulipas

According to the investigations regarding “El Ganso”, he is linked to crimes against health, carrying a firearm and the killing of a person.

Mexico City: Elements of the Investigation Division of the Federal Police, in coordination with personnel from the Deputy Attorney General’s Office for the Investigation of Organized Crime (Seido), arrested Hugo “N”, alias “El Ganso” or “Cuello Corta” who is considered head of the regional plaza of Los Zetas of San Fernando, Tamaulipas.

The facts were recorded when federal agents provided support to agents of the Public Ministry of the Federation, attached to the SEIDO (Special Prosecutor’s Office in Organized Crime Investigation) to execute a search warrant in a building located in the municipality of Ciudad Victoria, where they arrested Hugo “N”, identified as alleged operator of a criminal group in the San Fernando region, in addition to being linked to crimes against health, possession of a firearm and the killing of a person.

The detainee was transferred to the Public Ministry of the Federation where subsequent investigations will be continued to determine their legal status.
