Israel Bans Boggie's Eurovision Song Lyrics (Videos)
Israel has condemned something out of Hungary that is so moving, it brings tears to the eyes of grown men. A controversial song in the limelight does not reflect well on the state of Israel, nor the USA, that supplies many of the weapons used for massacring the innocent in Gaza as well as innocent targeted individuals globally.
Condemnation by Israel making the news is because it involves Eurovision, the annual worldwide song contest (French: called Concours Eurovision de la chanson in French and often shortened to ESC, Since 1956, Eurovision, or EuroSong competition is held primarily among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
Eurovision is so popular, other networks copied the idea for programs such as American Idol. Each member country submits a song to be performed on live TV and radio. Votes are cast to determine the most popular song in the competition.
The forty songs competing this year have been selected. One, however, is so controversial, so moving, sung by a group so charismatic, has words that are so descriptive of war on innocent people, including people of Palestine, Israel has objected and contacted the Hungarian government.
The song is sung by the Hungarian group, Boggie. The infectious and haunting song by young Hungarians with charismatic stage presence could also become an anthem of innocent Targeted Individuals.
In a most infectious way, it includes condemnation against Israeli operation in Gaza by mentioning number of dead Paln children.
One caption in the song video refers to Operation Protective Edge. It states, “2014 – Gaza – two-thirds of the victims were civilians, including more than 500 children.”
Although Israel is not mentioned by name in the song, Ambassador Mor asked the Hungarian broadcasting authority to remove the sentence about the Gaza war. His explaination was that it is viewed as an “inconvenient” political message against Israel.
The song’s anti-war message, focusies on all victims of violence and wars in the world. Here is the contoversial song, Wars for Nothing, by Boggie:
