Reported security incidents
#1: At least four militants were killed in  a clash with the security forces in Jamrud Tehsil of Khyber tribal region, a private news channel reported on Tuesday. According to the report, the overnight clash took place in Malik Shiga village.

#2: Afghan forces during heavy operations against Taliban militants in Faryab province have left 75 militants dead and injured around 100 others over the past three days, provincial governor said Tuesday.

#3: Director of Deck vaccination institute office with his driver has been abducted in Gozara district of Herat province yesterday. Dr. Ghulam Sayeed Rashid head of public health department in Herat told BNA, the incident occurred yesterday, while the director of Deck vaccination institute with cooperation of Herat public health department were transferring vaccination material in Deh-e-Naw village of Gozara district.

#4: An Afghan lawmaker escaped unhurt from an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in western Herat province of Afghanistan. According to local government officials, the incident took place on Tuesday morning in Ghorian district of Herat province. Provincial police spokesman, Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, said at least one civilian was killed and three others including two policemen were injured following the attack.

#5: At least 61 rockets were fired in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan from the other side of Durand Line in the latest wave of cross-border shelling.

#6: At least 3 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were martyred following improvised explosive device (IED) explosion. Defense ministry spokesman, Gen. Zahir Azimi, said the 3 Afghan army soldiers were martyred in the past 24 hours.
