Theory on General Petraeus, Ex-CIA Director

Fact:  CIA Director David Petraeus resigned his post on Friday, November 9, 2012, just three days after Barack Hussein Obama was re-elected for a second term as president of the United States—a rather strange coincidence.

Fact: By his admission, Gen. Petraeus said that he had an extramarital affair with his personal biographer Paula Broadwell.

Fact: The FBI found that Gen. Petraeus was involved in this affair and was concerned that he could be subject to blackmail and to compromises and security breaches by enemies of America.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus asked President Obama to accept his resignation because he felt that he showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair.  Gen. Petraeus has been married for 37 years to his wife, Holly Petraeus.  It is unbelievable that such an intelligent man of principle and values could exercise such poor judgment in such an affair.

Fact: Former President Bill Clinton did not resign his presidency even though he had several alleged sexual affairs and accusations of rape, fondling, and sexually suggestive speech and abuse by multiple women.  If a former POTUS did not need to resign, why then would Gen. Petraeus need to resign?  Good question.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus has always been a man of utmost integrity, civility, honor, loyalty, patriotism, morality, and honesty.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus is not a politician.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus is one of the most respected military generals in recent history.  An exception is that the far-left, liberal organization, Move-on.org, labeled him as “General Betray Us” in a full-page national ad in 2007.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus drew fire from Republicans and the media because he supported the Obama administration’s claim that the Benghazi uprising was a spontaneous one caused by an anti-Islam video/movie.

Fact: Pres. Obama said that he made it perfectly clear to the State Department, CIA, DoD, and others that they should take all efforts and means to save Ambassador Stevens and others.

Fact: Pres. Obama told the CIA to stand down.  The apparent contradiction of the two opposite statements attributed to President Obama is problematic.

Fact: Pres. Obama fired Gen. Carter Ham, commander of Africom, because he went against the order to stand down by preparing an assault force to go in to save Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans under siege for about seven hours by al-Qaeda terrorists.  Gen. Ham was operating on the President’s original order to provide all means and efforts for the safety and security of Ambassador Stevens and others.

Fact: Gen. Ham said that Pres. Obama has lied on this matter.

Fact: During the Vice Presidential Debate, Vice President Joe Biden threw the CIA under the bus by stating that the CIA had provided the faulty intelligence regarding the video/movie and the Benghazi situation.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus was scheduled to testify in closed-door sessions before the intelligence committees of the Senate and House of Representatives on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

Fact: Gen. Petraeus said that he was looking forward to testifying before the intelligence committees.

Fact: Now that Petraeus has resigned, he apparently will not be appearing before the intelligence committees because he is now a private citizen.

Fact: The intelligence committees could and should subpoena Gen. Petraeus to appear before them anyway.

Fact: The CIA said that the President, through the SecDef, told the CIA to stand down.

Fact: The Benghazi-gate Affair is heating up rapidly in the Congress.  Many people believe that the Benghazi-gate Affair will far supersede the Watergate Affair.

Fact: The FBI was investigating Paula Broadwell and discovered the affair between her and Gen. Petraeus.  We beg the question: Why is the FBI investigating Gen. Petraeus and not Pres. Obama for all of his illegal and unconstitutional actions?

Theory: Gen. Petraeus was very upset that the Obama administration had thrown him and the CIA under the bus by saying that the CIA gave them faulty intelligence and that the administration never told the CIA to stand down.

Theory: Gen. Petraeus was very upset at Obama, who he has had disagreements with in the past concerning the Iraq surge, the Afghanistan buildup, etc.

Theory: Gen. Ham is very upset with Obama and the administration that he will soon spill the beans about what was happening during the seven hours that the Benghazi Consulate was under attack.

Theory: Gen. Petraeus was going to spill the beans during the closed-door sessions with the congressional intelligence committee.

Theory: The Obama Chicago Machine used this affair to blackmail Gen. Petraeus saying that if he spilled the beans on Obama, they would break the news of the affair to the media.  Gen. Petraeus preempted that from happening by resigning and stating the affair as the reason for the resignation.  What would Pres. Clinton say about such a thing?

Theory: This Benghazi-gate Affair will break wide open in the ensuing weeks and months.  It will reveal that President Obama is at the center of this fiasco in Libya.  Barack Obama will be in deep trouble for lying to the American people.
