Manchurian Candidate, No; Saudi Arabian Candidate, Yes!

I heard a rumor that the White House is constructing a place of worship or prayer room of sorts in the White House. At this point, this rumor is just hearsay. We yet need to verify and validate this hearsay. As I gather more information on this construction project, I will inform you of the specifics.

When I had worked at BAE Systems in Rancho Bernardo, California, we had a contract with Saudi Arabia. One of the requirements of the contract was that we had to construct a prayer room for the Saudi engineers who came to visit and work at BAE Systems, Inc. To be honest, I was shocked to see that United States corporations will bend over backwards to satisfy the religious requirements of the Muslims just to get that almighty dollar from them. With a Muslim in the White House, I can understand why they would build such a prayer room. This is so they could put down their prayer rugs, bow down, and pray while facing east. What other religion do we bend over backwards to satisfy such prayer room requirements? None! That is so disgusting I cannot see straight.

Why is it so special that the president of the United States (POTUS) needs to instruct us that it is a fundamental religious right for the Muslims to be able to build their mosques anywhere they so desire? I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as Mormons). We have problems with local governments and homeowners to obtain approval for sites and to build our temples, stake centers, and ward meetinghouses almost everywhere we so desire to build them. Why is it not a fundamental right for us also to build where and how we want? The site location problem is business as usual for us Mormons.

I am familiar with a particular case that occurred in the city where we lived about 20 years ago. We had to battle with the city government and the surrounding community just to build a regular ward meetinghouse to accommodate a congregation. After extended negotiations, we finally had to take or leave a design where the city cut the building in half to separate the chapel from the classrooms instead of everything housed in one building. Just to get the building built in that location, we accepted the city redesigning the building into two separate buildings. They, of course, did not expect us to accept their redesign, but we took it rather than having no meetinghouse at all in that particular location.

So, why are Islam and the Muslims so special that the POTUS needs to stick his nose into the business of building a mosque so close to Ground Zero in New York City? It must be because he is a Muslim (www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tCAffMSWSzY#t=28) who was born in Kenya (www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwhKuunp8D8&feature=player_embedded). Can you think of any other explanation? I cannot.
